  • FYI...Corinne Drewery's birthdate is Sept. 21, 1959

  • Don't get fooled by her smile!

  • FANTASTIC.....CORINNE,I LOVE YOU.

  • how could you not fallen in love with her and a voice like that i know i would

  • I sure can't avoid being in love with Corinne. Not only her vocal charms, but Corinne is just the personification of pure female beauty. That hair, those eyes, that face, she's just unbelievably beautiful.

  • you said it well my friend. i tottally agree with every letter you put on.

  • One of the best groups EVER! SO under-rated!

  • this is the best song of SOS.

    this is so great!

  • Any chance SOS is coming to Vancouver, Canada? It's been 20 yrs since I last saw her perform live. I wonder if she still has this wonderful voice and the sweetest of smiles!

  • @bonletrodriguez Just saw her this past summer. And her voice is still amazing as well as her smile!

  • Nice song! Corinne is so beautiful!

  • this song is just amazing...reminds me of when my mom used to play their records when I was much younger

  • i will surrender to her if its sweet

  • Oh I am sure it is!! Corrinne is a complete babe!

  • I like it. Total 80's. This was out when I was 2...probably the sort of thing my mum listened to. Also, she is hot.

  • Who's hot? Your mum?

  • LOL it would be sick if that is what i meant but naw, i mean the her in the video. 80's music...will music ever be as good? if 80's movies can all have second comings, how can 80's music no make a major come back in the charts. Less ae this 'Mad World' shite.

  • A favourite of mine.

    Excellent pure vocals.

  • this group must be big in japan, I can see it influenced a lot of composers there

  • Love this song, so unique

  • LOVE YOUR VOICE!

  • BRILL!

  • I love this group!

  • This babe and Sade would make a babe duo of sexy soulfull croonsters indeed.

  • Hi Auntie Coz! Maisie+sally lav u and Lil boy Con + the song!xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • i'd hit that

  • I preferred this to Breakout.

  • No Comparison at all...eXCLUSIVELY uNIQUE...cd

  • Wow, I'm so lucky to have been listening to EBTG and saw this. I LOVE their music! My MP3 Player is being packed with music from the 1980s and 90s.

  • Sem comentários...

    A banda é realmente F O D A !

    1 pergunta...

Vc é de São Paulo...se for vamos manter contato!

    Abraxxxx

  • Love this song

  • I always loved the drums on this record.

  • This is a music!!!

  • awesome tune love it,man city fans as well even better

  • Loved this when it was out + still catch up with it from time 2 time on my old cassette tapes! Easily the best record from a highly competent band who had a striking lead in Corrine and a stylish yet unopposing slant on presenting music.

  • that is one woman that would turn me straight

  • Her voice reminds me of Sade, whom I used to think could never be touched except by maybe Chaka Khan :) Love this song

  • One of my favorite songs, she is not even a trained singer and she can out sing the crop of popular singers out there now. Great intro. Her band is one of the best in the business.

  • goldenpica...I agree that the current pop is crap but this is what is pumped out the airways via heavy monetary contributions. Occasionally a genuinly quality song will make its way to the air ways without the push of the dollar. I'm from the 80's myself and am disgusted at the fact that rap/hip hop has somehow become so mainstream. But remember, the stuff we would listen to was just as foreign to our parents as well. I just enjoy Swing out sister in my own private setting and it take me away.

  • I miss that kind of female singer. Nowadays it seems to be all aquestion of who shakes more the ass on camera for the videos or who has the flattest tummy in order to get attention leaving the music behind in importance. Call me an old fashioned old fart, but pop music has gone completely the wrong way, full of talentless people selling rubish to the masses.

  • Totally agree with goldenpica. I can't get out of the 80s because it had talent and taste. What we have now is trash!

  • Good voice and looks, she reminds me of that gal in the movie Chariots of Fire.

  • great song ! This music is sad and Happy at the same time!

  • One of the best songs of the 80's. It certainly outdid 'Breakout' Corinne Drewery has such a great voice, deep and rich. She'd be good singing jazz. Love her, love the video.

  • Can you say babesong, I can. ;)

  • The intro is increbile.Absolutely big. this first 30 seconds are pure music greatness in a memorable song.

  • That's Madonna in the window!

  • You have to be crazy if you think this video sucks, and why are you blaming YouTube for anything? A user put this up, not the site :P

  • Reminds me of my 3rd wife...ripped me off she did. Still, I had the last laugh - I married her sister:-)

  • OK just friggin kill me now because after listening to Corinne Drewery...what else is left?????

  • that intro-im samplin that shit

  • wasent she just amazing loved her music brilliant xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • Adoro questa canzone..

  • Beautiful pop song!!

  • grandi sweet out....ci mancate.........

  • SwingOut Sister is Timeless!!!

  • too bad the r&b from the 80's as well as this style of music with its r&b influence is gone,I miss it

  • This is my favourite track of all and what an inspiring video for the time this track came out. Not only that but as a gay man I could easily see myself taking Corrine Drewery out to Kudos or G.A.Y. She is the greatest and as nature intended. Make up perfection. Totally flawless.

  • I really am not exaggerating in saying that Corrine is the most gorgeous woman i have ever seen!

  • She's beautiful. Almost impossibly so. Corinne epitomizes sophisticated sex appeal. I'll take one coy glance and subtle smile from Corinne Drewery over all of the navel gyrations and midriff-baring of Madonna and Beyonce.

  • Yes she is gorgeous!

  • Swing Out Sister were and still are a fantastic band. This is a great song just like Breakout which is the best song of all time!!! Check out their Greatest Hits Album. Pure timeless style and class

  • Jolly good indeed. :)

  • Corinne is pure class, grace, beauty, and what a magnificent singer!

  • sheer bliss, love this track

  • Corinne gets compared to too many people - and she tops them all hands down. Cool, talented and classy - she is the whole package and them some. We need more music like this and SOS deserve a much bigger profile!

  • Beautiful, classy and talented...

  • The British sure know how to create real music!

  • i fucking love this song.

  • NO!! I love it more than you!

  • nossa, como eu escutava SOS nos 80's....ainda adoro ouvi-la cantar....uma das vocalistas mais bonitas de todos os tempos.....=)

  • Isabella Rossalini meets Demi Moore..yet more natural then either...how beautiful she is...

  • She looks so hot and sounds the same.

  • This got to Number 7 and Breakout got to number 4. I still have this on vinyl...Ahhhh the 80's. THANX 4 posting :0} xx

  • simply wonderfull

  • esta cancion es excelente

  • JR from brazil to my all friends on YT!!

  • Fuck you they r the sounds of Sos all their songs R good??Am I rite?they got a touch simply MYSTIC in da 80's no ne can compare dat in the retro stYle..80's hi NRG only but theirs a Different Touch

  • this should have been a hit (if it wasn't)

  • think it went top Ten, but Breakout was the bigger hit.

  • This music.......and her voice were soooo ahead of the time. So polished, pure and listen to how tight the band is behind her. A classic all the way around.

  • new album is out now check it out :) she still has it!

  • This was before they went from being a trio to a duo. For those who wonder about the other former third SOS member Martin Jackson, this is where his contribution as a percussionist is most evident.

  • Especially in the remix that's on the CD. It basically expands on the single version but you can hear Mr Jackson really pound away, especially in a portion after the bridge.

  • Both Corinne and Basia came out roughly the same time.Basia was in a group called Matt Bianco who 'hit' first with 'Get out your lazy bed in 1984', which was very jivey, followed by a couple more uptempo hits , then Corinne/Swing Out Sister 'hit' 2 years later with Breakout. Basia then went solo in the late 80's,and settled into a more laid back style very similar to S.O.S during this time Swing Out Sister released a few albums and was the more successful of the two acts

  • In this song, she sounds alot like Basia ( or is it supposed to be the other way around? : >) ).

I'm a very new fan to SOS's work & I must say that it has really grabbed me by my soul. When I listen to their music, it's amazing how I can feel a very mature apprecation & sensiblity to their sound & at the same time, the youthful exuberance of a jr. high-schooler discovering a band for the very first time.

  • Babe you piss all over Amy Wineyhauser!!! I loved you then. I love you now. SOS rule!

  • Narrow minded d**k, get a life!!

  • go take a shower!

  • corrine is so classic and gorgeous. another great song here :)

  • Between the voices of females, the voice of Corine is one the most sweet and sexies voices I ever heard in music.

Music of Swing Out Sister bring me good memories

  • Good eighties stuff.

  • Happy Good Sing! Sincerest apologies from Latvia!

  • Great song, great group. She does say "rewenge" (instead of revenge) a few times in the song lol - which makes it stand out a bit.

  • Not to be too nit-picky, but she actually said "wevenge", with the letter W as the first letter. Elmer Fudge (Bugs Bunny cartoons) language. [smile]

I'd noticed that years ago when I bought the cassette tape. Yes...a tape! LOL!

    I love SOS!

  • she say's re minge oh yeah. minge minge minge

  • i agree!

    is wevenge

  • The sheer phatness of the rythm and bass blew me away when I first heard this. I think it was on a walkman cycling on a high-summer day between Oxford centre and Summertown. It felt like panoramic vision. Magical.

  • ...wearing leg warmers, over sized white shirt with the WHAM logo, black tights, big New Jersey style "mall" hairdo....long live the 1980's!!

  • I get shivers listening to this song.. so mush good memories.. Love from sunny SOUTH AFRICA

  • Very nice song ,best regards from Greece

  • this was my jam back in the late 80's!!! my dad had me onto this trio early!:) they were sooooooooooooooo good and i was in Japan then!

  • Sounds like you were a Navy brat.

Your dad must have good taste, cause SOS rocks like most British jazz-pop of the 80's!

  • lol...i was a marine brat so you can say..lol...both parents were in the military...SOS, Lisa Stansfield, Loose Ends, Hiroshima, all big groups in japan then...

  • lol...i was a marine brat so you can say..lol...both parents were in the military...SOS, Lisa Stansfield, Loose Ends, Hiroshima, all big groups in japan then...

  • I had a hunch, you were some sort of military brat. Marine corp is part of the Navy, so I was sortof right.lol

yes, I like Hiroshima as well. I need to check out Loose Ends, I'm not familiar with them. :-)

  • wow...MAN!! YOU MISSED MOST OF THE MID TO LATE 80'S!!!LOL... YEAH CHECK THAT OUT QUICK!!:)

  • Fantastic Music!The Best of 80y  Songs!=)

  • I never knew they made a video to this track. Excellent! Thanks for posting! It's better to Travel!

  • Paul Staveley Duffy - legendary producer.

when "Kaleidoscope World" came out, they were REALLY in their element. This track was a mere (yet awesome) aperitif. Watching the Chart Show in '86 and seeing this track as a "what's to come" for '87 - I got in2 SOS BIG time (and I ain't THAT old FYI...)

  • This song will forever be HOT in my ears! I LOVE SOS!! The music is just all that and the band...Oh My Gawd!!!

  • Two years ago I had the honour of seeing both Corrine/Swing Out Sister and Basia/Matt Bianco within weeks of each other, in my home city of London. For me, that type of music is sheer bliss, total escapism. Both girls were born in 1959 and still look stunning. Where is Corinne from originally, Manchester, Sheffield? I actually thought she was a Nottingham lass, some one enlighten us

  • Corrine was born in Nottingham, but the group itself was born in Manchester

  • Manchester, not Sheffield!

Corinne and Andy have just finsihed a new album. It will be released in early 2008.

  • I pulled out a tape of SOS here a few weeks ago which I had left packed in a box when I migrated to Australia 11 yrs ago.I just cant take it out of the car now!!Im from sheffield uk where SOS came from and they were huge in the late 80's.Better to travel is the albumn.

  • I love you Corinne!!!

  • Correctly. THE STUFF GUN MIX is awsome. Great piano + trumpet solos towards the end of the instrumental coda. Very nice drum fills too!

  • what a song! Fab.

  • She reminds me in some ways of Basia but both are two great talents in the own right.

  • The remix is huge - all the beautiful sounds -tricks and treats- makes me think of the lush full theatrical sound of propaganda

  • Great video ....

    Great song ...

    ... and a finest

    and charming performer

    as Corine Drewery ....

    What else you can ask

    for?

    Definetely a wonderful

    and memorable video!!!!

  • A memorable and

    great song ...

    ... this is a

    proof why this

    group used to

    be the Europe's

    finest group ...

    Corine was and still

    be the most charming

    and best of all!!!!

  • Love this song.

    Love the horns!

    Great arrangement!

  • No one is more lovlier with the wind blowing her hair than Corrinne.

  • Basia + Elizabeth Hurley + Lisa standsfield = SOS...!

  • I love it...

    AND i love Corinne!!

  • Very very nice music and what talent..

I just wish they would bring out more stuff.

I have been searching for similar artists and

groups for sometime now so if anyone knows

of any other suggestions or one-offs please let

    me know.

    Thanks

  • they still rocks

  • brilliant- reminds me of the good old days of the 80s

  • Back in 1987 I was about to graduate from college and it was a pretty stressful time, but SOS came into the scene like a breath of fresh air with their sophisticated and catchy grooves. It was smooth sailing from there on into the early 1990's....they made everything cool and chique..hip...good times!

  • I absolutely agree dwm.

  • This is the best EURO DISCO track of the entire 80's.

  • One of the greatest Popsongs that I know

    Great Stuff for ever

  • Great song! Love her voice! Thanks for posting!
