White peple crack me up, they get upset over a couple of black people getting over on the law. White people have gotten over and still are still getting over in the courts today. O.J. Simpson had money and fame, so why does Casey Anthony a no account average crazed murderer get off? Simple and plain she's an attractive young woman who coudn't have possibly killed her daughter in the jury's eyes? People like her get off everyday in this system.
Al Sharpton got a TV show after the Tawana Brawley case. O. J. Simpson got away with a double murder, from an all-black jury, but eventually wound up in the slammer.
Thank you for posting the video, great information and footage. I plan to see the musical, Im Black and I just found out about this case last year. Its crazy that we didn't learn about this in school.
My father, New York Post journalist Jay Nelson Tuck, won the Geroge Polk Award for Journalism in 1951 for his reporting on the Scottsboro Boys. His reporting was a major factor getting them a new trial.
Thanks so much for posting this, it is just amazing. I really enjoyed it. A lot of people don't even know about the Scottsboro Boys so hopefully after seeing this, they will have a better understanding about it. You did an excellent job! Thanks again!
MAY RUBY BATES AND VICTORIA PRICE ROT IN HELL! THANKS FOR THE EDUCATION JUST THE SAME....HOW MANY OF YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS WE'RE PART OF THE ANGRY LYNCH MOB? ........and to top it off Black men think it's a "prize" to have a white woman.....HA!!!.....just piss her off without raising a hand and see who the cops believe....nothing has changed! Welcome to 2010...uh..1933....uh...2010.
@6DONNIE9 Those are generalizations and you know it. Furthermore if you pidgeon hole groups of people into a single mind and stereotype you'll find most certainly that you'll be reinforcing the very concept of what you have come to hate. We ALL have come a long way, why can't you? Perhaps you would like to be stuck in 1931? I do not question your motives, just your thinking.
@6DONNIE9 I don't think Ruby Bates should rot in hell... she was young & naïve and led on by the manipulative Price. And later she at least tried to undo some of the damage her witness had done :-D
I favorited this! Thank you for making this video, I found it very informative and I really enjoy the vivid visual memories you've been able to give using just a camera and a voice. I have watched multiple videos and read multiple stories on this case and so far, your video has made the most sense and has interested me the most. So, thank you :)
We saw your video in english today and most of my class really liked it!!! I know I did! It was very educational. Thanxs! It helped me understand the idea and concept behind To Kill A Mockingbird better.
Give my thanks to your teacher and classmates for watching . You are welcome. The "To Kill a Mockingbird" story fits nicely with the true events of the Scottsboro boys case.
i am in high school and i have a paper on the scottsboro boys. Again, thank you so much your video helped me understand this better. Ohh and by the way I loveee your accent, you remind me of my grandpa :) ♥
interesting piece of american history/tragedy. your southern accent and personality adds a personal touch. almost like one is sitting along side a camp fire and hearin it all be told ...
First of all, let me offer my thank's for this wonderful little gem. Q. Is that a picture of E. Hemingway next to yours? The fact that your documentary film is not completely polished, make's it that more enjoyable. The part where the cars vanish was quiet amusing. That remark is not an insult by the way. I have always had a soft spot for the American south. I will certainly watch your other vids. This is, an interesting subject. Now you have made me want to do likewise. Cheers and well done:o)
Thanks. yes that is Mr. Hemingway, some say we favor. No, I don't do polished videos and just do them off the cuff because I enjoy making them and receiving comments like yours. Some of my editing does make a few things disappear, no offense taken. glad you enjoyed my effort and thanks for watching
You are welcome and thank you. I'm glad you found the video and please do watch some of my others. i get a lot of enjoyment out of making videos and getting comments from those who enjoy them
I had heard about this case but never seen any film about it. I enjoyed your presentation and look forward to seeing more, sir. Thanks for the lesson. 5 Stars from me.
If you haven't already seen it, I suggest viewing on PBS, or renting the DVD if it's available, "American Experience: the Scottsboro Boys, An American Tragedy" It is quite riveting!
This is the viewer who requested your input at the courthouse. I must say this episode has been most enlightning. My father told me about this case and he stated that Ruby Bates and Victoria Price were a couple of good time girls looking for some money. They had sex with men who paid them for it and then they had to cover themselves because they looked so disheveled when they met their husbands or boyfriends at the train station and so they cried rape. On to Part 2
Watched part I last night and look forward to hearing the rest tonight. I think its great that you went out "on location" to tell the tale. Harks back to the cotton picking videos. Great job!
These places are so familiar to me that I sometimes forget that others would be interested in seeing them. The advantage of living in a small town is that everything is close in so it is not a big effort to visit the different locations.
Very clear! Well Done! Thank you :)

Cry over O.J. when people like Danny Brown and Daryl Hunt were in prison for years for crimes they did not commit.

A LOAD of Balck men are brainwashed with that - and many of the White Chicks believe it too...
If the white chicks realized they were just tokens in exchange for a light skinned straight haired shorty maybe they'd stop
But back to the vid - WELL THANK YOU for providing some modern insight and view! Wish someone would do the same up in NYC for the Rhinelander case

@6DONNIE9 you're wrong about Ruby Bates. She changed her original testimony at the second trial and worked to help free them the rest of her life.
