Acorn is required by law to turn in every voter registration card they fill out(they can't just throw away registrations, it still has to go through the proper channels). The cards are not the property of Acorn and there are procedures in place to flag down cards they believe are fradulent. A risky loan does not equal FHA backed loans for lower income individuals. A risky loan is giving someone $400,000 for a house they can't afford, or giving speculators loans for investment properties without properly checking their income history.
The point is, congress's stance on homeownership assistance for lower income individuals is not the root of this problem.
Anyone with a history or knowledge of the mortgage market could reafirm my point.

Acorn is required by law to turn in every voter registration card they fill out(they can't just throw away registrations, it still has to go through the proper channels). The cards are not the property of Acorn and there are procedures in place to flag down cards they believe are fradulent. Acorn itself is not the problem, some of the people who were supposed to help by registering people(and who make money off of each registration written up) are the ones who did it to make money.

Second, go cry me a river. Republicans have been playing that game for years. There is so much documentation of those organizations registering democrats, then not submitting their registrations. So when they turn up to vote they are told they never registered.
At least you know they arent registering you.

They were registered because someone decided it would be a good idea to pay college kids a commission to register people and they were lazy and just made up names instead of actually registering people.

The scandal is that some of the names that were registered are fake, such as Mickey Mouse. However, since these people don't exist, they won't vote. ACORN only registered them because they were supposed to meet a certain amount of registrations and faked some to get payed. This scandal is not going to steal the election.

Everyone knows ACORN is not in the business of voter fraud (or voter registration fraud). The problem is poor people who would rather just fill out the phony registrations than do the work.
ACORN is required by law to submit all registrations, even the ones they mark as questionable.
Obama's contribution to an ACORN affiliate was for a"get out the vote" campaign. They don't register anyone.

This mess is the byproduct of greed in the banking sector. You would have to understand how mortgage backed securities took over the mortgage market and how banks were able to easily clean their hands from the risky loans they originated themeselves.
In conclusion, greed and a lack of market regulation is the culprit. Not the Democrats.

A risky loan does not equal FHA backed loans for lower income individuals. A risky loan is giving someone $400,000 for a house they can't afford, or giving speculators loans for investment properties without properly checking their income history.
The point is, congress's stance on homeownership assistance for lower income individuals is not the root of this problem.
Anyone with a history or knowledge of the mortgage market could reafirm my point.
bottom line, we need more regulation.
