For the price they mentioned here, I got it today from Jessops with the basic lens, a 70-300mm, 8gb card, big ass carry case, 2 filters and screen protector.
It is a nice camera to use. I prefer it to the D40.
...Why post this as a separate video when you include it in the news? At least give us a lite version in the news and the full review in it's own video?
Also, I agree with the pricepoint. I wouldn't pay £500 for an 'entry level' camera, even if it had the focussing power of a spy satellite.
the cheap version is just the lens without image stabilization?

no it doesn't. I've got one too... It only has center-weighted average, evaluative and partial metering. The 450D has stop metering.
And yeah, neither could i afford anything better!

I've just bought it for 445 Euros. I couldn't be happier, very good camera for the price.

400D is out of production.. from the 10th of June 08. It is a little expensive, so i will agree with that point
