This is so great... I absolutely love to see not only the Homestuck music team but also the students' interests getting so much recognition! So much of the music from Homestuck is amazing, and I can't even tell you how often I've imagined how cool it would be if our choir somehow managed choral versions of some of the songs. The fact that this actually HAPPENED with HIGH SCHOOL MUSICIANS is amazing! School music departments should be this interactive and satisfying. So cool.

This is really good for a high school ensemble, but MAN do they need to tighten up. Tempos are all over the place, and it makes the more complex parts sound sloppy.

On the other hand, I can understand why it would be so difficult, especially for high school students. It's a pretty fast piece, even when slowed down, and not an easy task.

The only reason everyone is saying this is good is because they're playing a Homestuck song; but I was in band since the fifth grade and a good bit is off. It kinda hurts my ears. I think they should have practiced a bit more before performing. But then again since I was in band I understand how nervous people can get. Overall it was a really good try. Next time try making everyone practice at home while listening to the song.

@TemptressHaga It's definitely the marimba fucking up. The rest of the ensemble is pretty good though. Marimba got off meter more than 5 times and it really pulls you out of the song.

Hah, no we did not take credit. I saw the arrangement on the forums, saw that we have exact instrumentation for it and leaped on the idea of doing it.

We actually did have a recording we did of this in rehearsal that was 4:13 a few of us that read it lost it.

The xylo players were requested to have harder mallets actually. It really is like 90% the video quality, they didn't actually cover us up at all. The mix was rather good.

We had some better rehearsals but are proud of how it ended up!
