as a colonel (ret) in the marijuana force I have never been in or out of such a bad strip. what a ride..............lotsa balls...............thanx for the memories
@AviatorAcademy good luck with a tail dragger in that strip, its very hard to keep a taildragger straight down the field. If you doubt it, go ahead and try it.
@chepeiscua Eh, with over 1100 hours in Pawnees and Air Tractors dusting on two continents, 400+ hours in SuperCubs and 318 hours in a Cessna 170B I think I could handle a taildragger....
Your supposed to have the yoke full back on a soft field to keep as much weight off the nose gear as possible. If you can get the nose gear off that's a good thing, he did nothing wrong.
@aetow19 O yea, Sportsman and VGs, it helps quite abit. Here at our home strip at 4000ft we can get the 182 off the ground in 300ft when the plane is empty.
@aetow19 O yea, Sportsman and VGs, it helps quite abit. Here at our home strip at 4000ft and 90 degrees, we can get the 182 off the ground in 300ft when the plane is empty.
Hmmm No its definitely not a 172, I just got out it 15 minutes ago. Maybe you have the wrong N-number. Its a 1958 182A ( the best model 182 ever made) atleast I think so.
Wow, great takeoff. Those old 182s are so much better than the new ones. I guess Cessna has to sell aircraft to the market that will buy them. Long live the straight tails!
okay, so it's not very comforting knowing that my daughter is flying around Guatemala in these little planes on those kind of runways. I'm glad I've trusted her to God. :)
Yea Its pretty bad we had to do some work to it. Its about 1000 ft long with a 5 degree slope It is very narrow 60ft in one spot and It rains abunch there so it can be pretty slippery
Why is this Cessna registered to Adonai International Ministries in Madison Illinois? What drug are they growing in Guatemala?
