OMG i went to camp ballibay 3 years ago and found this in their backstage prop area and asked them if i could mess around with it. the back was falling off but it worked perfictly fine!
Hey CasseteMaster, i have this same exact radio without speakers and the radio itself is in perfect condition. How much can i charge for something like this? Thank you
so many cassette decks of yore ...i wish they would all assemble in my room and let me admire them...such good friends, such good times...the things that me and my cassette decks have gone through together...when i first moved to the big city it was my only friend in a great big scary new world...I had 4 tapes and I played them to death. They were Zappa, Live in LA, Gilbert O'Sullivan first album, T Rex, the slider (still my favorite album) and the soundtrack to Joseph and Technicolor Raincoat
Nice clock boombox radio, another great classic from GE, the company that brought you my favorite of them all, the Wildcat record player.
GE used to make electronics back then like TV's, radios, clock radios and other stuff, but now GE doesn't make electronics like this anymore since Thompson took over, GE still exists today where they made refrigerators, light bulbs, generators, dishwashers and other appliance stuff.
CassetteMaster you might be able to help me with this im looking for a model number on an old stereo system made by emerson it has a turntable on the top coverd by a clear plastic cover it and a single tape deck on the left side and an AM/FM radio on the right and 2 speakers and the unit is greyish black have you seen a system like this its sort of a cheap system ive looked around ebay for it and nothing, its from the 90s i believe b/c one of the placed i worked at had one.
dang i cant find any pics of it or model numbers but spatsbear told me you can go on ebay and look for the brand name which is emerson but i tried and nothing, must be some hard to find model apparently it didnt do so good the speakers were weak and the radio didnt work well
We bought this new:) Still working. Would you look and tell me if there is anyway I could plug this in to my dvr or pc to convert my cassettes to cd/dvd? I sure would appreciate it.
It would probably work to put it on the speaker out and have a low volume setting and bass and treble in mid-position. But best way is to use a cassette deck with a line-out.

What do you mean GE no longer makes electronics? I have a GE DTV Converter.

The GE logo is put on, but it's made my Thompson. RCA went the same way, too.

Thank you, CM.

That is a nice clock radio!
I love GE clock radios. For Christmas of 1988, my parents got me a GE clock radio cassette recorder. Has a nice big 4" speaker with plenty of bass.
