WHAT THIS MAN SAYS IS TRUE , GIVEN WHAT CANADA HAS , WITH A LARGER POPULATION IT WOULD BE A SUPER POWER . IT'S A BIG COUNTRY FULL OF DIFFERENT RESOURCES . THE APPROACH CANADA SHOULD TAKE SHOULDN'T BE COMPARED TO A BATTLE , BUT A BUSINESS TRANSACTION WHERE EACH PLAYER LEAVING SATISFIED . I KNOW WE CAN DO IT BECAUSE THIS MAN IS RITE , THERE ARE SOME OF THE FINEST PEOPLE IN THE WORLD HERE, THOSE PEOPLE YOU DON'T HERE FROM BECAUSE THEIR BUSY TRYING TO STAY FINE AND DIGNIFIED . GIANFRANCO FRONZI
Sadly, so far Ignatieff hasn't actually produced a viable alternative. In fact, the only things on record, with regard to hard policy, which he has said are "we have to raise taxes" and.... well thats about it. Im a 17 year old Conservative, and I became a tory supporter because of the mess, the scandals, the carpetbaggers, the crap the Liberals left behind when they left office. They promised so much, and delivered nothing but broken promises and lies. I think Canada's doing fine right now
I agree. The problem with the Liberals is they still believe they are "the natural governing party" of Canada, that the Conservative government is just a temporary hiatus and that Canadians are just having a little temper tantrum and will obediently fall back into line and vote Liberal once we've gotten it out of our systems.
Canadians deserve and have demanded better and the Liberals will sit on the opposition benches until they learn a little humility and stop taking our votes for granted.
OK...let's see your strong positive platform to get Canadians off the couch with a desire to vote so the power hungry Harper clan can be crushed. I'm educated and unemployed so let's see your swift EI improvements NOW not years away. Let's see key messages to empower us with the reasons to vote Liberal. This time, speak intelligently about why we should choose Liberal over all others. And let's see a positive campaign with a priority on jobs so it surpasses the negative Conservative crap.
Considering how 90% of the Conservatives platform got caught up in red tape and never actually made it out the door (including pretty much every bit of funding for infrastructure), I know I'll be voting Liberal.
So Mr. Ignatieff believes Canada can take on the world, and win. Why would canada take on the world? How about taking on the Canadian recession? So Mr. Ignatieff has met canadians who are the best the world has to offer. Okay? So what does that have to do with a new way of thinking or anything else he said. This is a bunch of hot air in my opinion. Give us something other than pointless statements and maybe we'll believe in you Mr. Ignatieff.
It's time for a change. The only major government policy change to come about in a year is Harper adopting a Liberal approach to the recession to save his seat. Liberals do Liberal policy the best (the same policy that protected our banking system by the way) so get Harper out, and the Liberals in.
Ignatieff has my vote. Let's get back to the Canadian values that only the Liberal party seems to be able to portray -- which I guess explains that why through history, Canadians seem to elect them more often and why times of political calm often come when the Liberals hold power.
Bring on the election! Harper has had a free ride for too long.
If Mr. Ignatieff can mount a credible campaign against Harper & Co. then I will find a way to give them a few bucks to help out. I am embarrassed at how far my nation has strayed from our past record of idealism and the pursuit of a just society.
I can't spare much but if every loyal Liberal in Canada gave them just a little bit it would make such a difference to their campaign. I hope he wins a majority in the next general election. I hope that soon we get Canada back on the right path.
As self-appointed media officer of Canadian politics, the ad is hereby approved. Don't buy the CPC stuff about fragility and crap. Fragility is doing nothing, which we've seen for 4 years. Stephen Harper would rather have us fear juvenile serial killers, which apparently there are more than I thought there were, than giving Canadians something of value. And that is why the complacency needs to end now. No, I don't work for the Liberals. I alienated myself. Ask anyone in Toronto. :D
How about a government that stands up for its citizens abroad, supports arts & culture, takes bold leadership on the environment, and allows its cabinet ministers to have opinions? Tell me what you're capable of that Harper has failed at.
a sense of hope to get back on to the world stage as the shining star this Country of Ours should be. A country I would love for my grandson to live in....

Nice thinking if what you have in mind is exporting. We need to kickstart our economy with manufacturing and jobs here for our own citizens.

Nice to see a hopeful ad rather than the usual conservative rubbish we've seen as of late.
