Socialization plays a primary part in shaping acceptable behaviour in females and males, hence the reason a lot of women *are* emotional. It's not that they lack to ability to be logical when necessary; rather, society has taught them that, in order to be "feminine", one must be emotionaly-inclined. It's a sexist world we live in. As another INTJ female myself, I have to say it's not easy.
If you are saying women are not logical, then you are not a intj.
A intj doesnt analyze anything according to emotion or even experiece at times. They use their rationale. I am a INTJ female and do not believe its possible to judge someone by their genitals.
@asopaso07 Hi, Please dont think I am defaming women by my comments. I certainly do not judge on genitalia! @asopaso07 he may have come to that conclusion possibly because of the relationships he has had with most women and may have theorised that all women are like this which is not true as you say..........
@ISMEY As am I, and viewers need keep in mind this vid was posted two years ago. A lot can change in that time, and many of us will come to accept that people are complex, irrational and illogical even at the best of times. We do what we can, consign ourselves to the gear works behind the scenes, build our empires and change the world...
@asopaso07 if you're a female, you probably don't know what things are like from a male perspective, so it's not necessarily something you can judge as easiliy, im an intj male who hasn't been in ANY relationships,, so i can't really talk about women in relationships either.
Eg I live in London and have many friends who are racist towards blk ppl because they commit the most crimes in this particular area I am from. Even though my experience tells me this too, I refuse to believe that melanin determines behaviour. I rationalise it and asses class, educational & eonomical background. Emotional responses are not for the mastermind.
I've come to the conclusion that in a society made of INTJ's, every day authority figures (ie, patrol officers & the like) would be obsolite as reason & our (as much as we deny it) constant striving to be decent people (according to our definition of "decent," that is) and get along with one another in a way that makes sense... also, i highly doubt we'd need anger management, as anger is such a rare thing among us...
a psychologist recently gave me this test and i turned out intj too. anyway, i'm sure you've met logical women before. the problem is you probably didn't find them that attractive and therefore pursued no relationship.. that's the problem: i'm attracted to the "femininity" of emotionalism, yet get irked by the lack of logic. that's probably why the only relationships i've had, and there haven't been many, have been with girls that i just found too damn cute to resist. yep it always ended badly.

This is only based on my own forum squabbling. but I've seen that there's a high correlation between the INTJ type and Asperger's Syndrome, I found out I was INTJ and later was diagnosed with Aspergers, the two facets mostly read as symptoms for each other. (And if you find yourself identifying at times with the gorgon, Ayn Rand then that'd be another minor hint I guess :) )
On the side the shelves behind you more or less help to confirm INTJ.
@Mattfinish88 I'm INTJ and some people think I have Aspergers or some level of autism, albeit mild. I still have around a 130 IQ though and I accomplish what I want, so I don't really care about a label like that.
1) the reason you find women illogical is because about 60-75% of women tend to be F while about the same percent of men tend to be T. in fact, 3/4 of NF types are female which means that NF males are even rarer than NT
2) you probably have trouble understanding the way people feel because your feeling is introverted like (like mine), introverted feeling deals with being in touch with yourself and having strong values.
unlike extraverted feeling (which FJs and TPs have), introverted feelers don't make irrational decisions based on emotional impulsiveness (in fact, I am disgusted by people like this). NFPs are usually quite rational, but in a more subjective way. like INTJs, we try to get the most out of a situation with the least effort, but we may place value in different things (for instance, the subjective feeling of wearing an expensive sweater may be worth the objective cost in dollars)
a few other traits of introverted feeling including, having a wild imagination, being attracted to fantasy, appreciating beauty, being able to tell if someone is being sincere or not and bonding closely with small children and animals.
@raigekimaru (INTJ) I've always recognized that I have a disproportionately "fuzzy" emotional response around children and small animals. Having only recently become interested in the MBTI, I found myself looking for this behavior expressed in INTJ vids and media. Quite amusing how many common symptoms of the various types come out.
@raigekimaru Shh, there are no feelings behind the disaffected stare of an INTJ. My affection toward them is a deception. Something to redeem my public image while I plot. Yeah...that's it.
I have the same kind of problem with emotions! Not that I'm not emotional, but that I understand, logically, my own emotions! Most people I meet, regardless of the gender, have emotions but do not have any clue how and what those emotions are- to complicate things- they can not even uderstand the emotions which they display!!!!
Whoa, I thought I clicked on one of my videos, but then I remembered that I haven't posted any! Are you my cousin or something?! Damn, we look similar.. I clicked on this vid because I am an INTJ and then I see a guy who looks like me wearing my favorite color t-shirt... Damn, eery.. Anyway, I feel your pain about the difficulty of connecting with most people. I find that people "effect" what they want to get across rather than just telling me.
I'm at the point where I wish I could make a translator that will tell me what certain effects and gestures mean. I find that it requires extra effort on my part to remind myself mentally not to question the logic of someone's approach but just to recognize that they are making a friendly gesture.
Im a INTJ and Im a woman så you can be logical and have less emotions and still be a woman. Not all woman are stupid. If you get a intelligent woman instead of a giggeling and shallow woman Im sure your intellectual need will be satisfied.
You're right about them women part. Most women will be F (feelings) rather than T (thinkers). Which is one of the reason I have a hard time with other women lol, I'm INTP.
I think a common trait of INTJs is that they get extremely annoyed when people don't make sense.
I have a few more theories.
- Junk Mail and stupid chain letters disturb INTJs the most.
- They are more annoyed than others when people lie, especially when people lie knowing they'll get caught eventually. this makes no sense and wastes everyone's time.
-Once they stop trusting/believing someone/something etc that is it.
-If they believe something is bad, it has no chance of becoming good again.
Charles Rangel, Chester A. Arthur, Calvin Coolidge, Thomas Jefferson, James K. Polk, Woodrow Wilson, John F. Kennedy, and Hillary Clinton are all INTJs.
Politicians as a general rule are not INTJs. They are some of the most illogical and infuriating people alive. They thrive on the stupidity of normal society.
Obama's handlers behind the dark curtain of secrecy are probably INTJs - at least one or two.
I think that all of the 'Masterminds' should get together and fix this damned planet, stop the nanny-state, and put an end to the new world order globalist agenda..
You're speaking my language! The language of Rational Nationalism.
}:-D
NO WORLD ORDER! There can be no reconciliation between ergonomic/rational order and dictatorial/collectivist order. There can only be war. So be it. Masterminds, unite! Rise forth with a clenched fist!
@deckiesrule "Politicians as a general rule are not INTJs", no kidding.
It's hard to make this world a better place if INTJs, which I guess should be the ones making the decisions, are not interested in politics. Here's an example of what I'm thinking: Thomas Jefferson supposedly was an INTJ. He wanted education and university to be free, that was his plan. Now we pay big money for college. Where did it all go wrong?
mbti is for discovering preferences or patterns in ones personality, not turning oneself into a 'type'. It's a good tool to discover more about oneself, not 'crap'.
Obamma is NOT INTJ. He thinks only 1,2 months ahead of him while most INTJ think of months on advance and he is involving feeligns with his decisions and have his mind changed too quickly and is not have stability of mind.. Definately NOT INTJ :).nono
I too am an INTJ; no emotions, very libertarian, direct, etc. I found out that I was when I figured all of my quirks along with the fact that I'm a natural leader, though I get nervous in social circumstances. So, I lead because I'm good at it, not because I really want to do it.
I'm an INTJ and I hate computers because they're not logical ENOUGH! If you want to accomplish (or fix) something, you can't just do it, you have to go through two dozen subroutines before you're able to carry out your original plan. And that pisses me off. Simplicity is logical. Simplicity is efficient.
Society is neither logical nor efficient because it burdens the individual with irrational routines designed to satisfy collective emotion. Perhaps we INTJs are sociopathic.
I'm actually not a sociopath. I just like to make fun of how we're stereotyped that way. In reality, INTJs are extremely empathetic toward others. Empathy isn't necessarily the same as emotion. That's a common misconception. We often have trouble sharing or expressing emotion, but have no trouble feeling empathy.
INTJ can understand people (no, sociopaths they are not - except when they want to have fun, play tough or simply get things done :-D), but empathetic I don't think they are.
as an ENFP future entrepreneur, I can relate to the authority problem. It irritates me when people try to push social norms on me or try to make me like them. if they are smarter and more experienced, no terrible, but a teacher making $30,000 a year telling me how to make money is ridiculous. I want to make a decision based on how to get the most for the least and I need my privacy in order to sort it out.
PS: the stereotype many hold of ENFPs being people pleasers and unambitious is ridiculous
lol@ comments below. You people make it sound as if Myer Briggs Personality types theory is some type of pseudoscience like Astrology. "I'm an INTJ and thus blah blah blah." Why such a need to be categorized and labelled? a longing for belonging? Whatever your personal tendencies are, balance is always the key.
I did. Multiple times. It came out INTJ, but I don't see myself as a person who deosn't like listening to others just because they're illogical. I'm not that type of person, plus, I can have a good social life with others, if I share my thoughts. the thing is, it's hard for others to understand me, b/c of my lack of emotions. But in conclusion, what lachingadita was saying is correct. I don't have all of what the personality type INTJ is described as, but I'm considered more of an INTJ.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
the guy in the video is not an intj or intp his an istj ..........if he were an intj his seleccion of words would be less boring and more technical metaphorical...etc
I'm a woman and an INTJ and I have to say, I'm not very emotional at all. I've had a lot of problems because every boyfriend I've ever had is more emotional than I am and I get tired of their bleating and calling me cold.
@AlishaV1979 Finally. Another INTJ female. Thank you for telling these men [who are supposed to be objective, rational thinkers] not to subjectively judge all females based on gender prejudice. Just because I have boobs does not mean I don't have a brain. [and I have the same issue with being called "cold" when it could be the furthest from the truth].
@AlishaV1979 Being that youre a thinking woman, do you think you have a preference for the opposite(feeling) in relationships.....Im an ISTJ or INTJ and i struggle with relationships trying to find a balance between feminine and logical thinking......
@sheriffquick Usually I'm more myself and unemotional about relationships, but occasionally I try to emulate normal people and try and make myself feel what I'm supposed to feel. It usually doesn't work though since there's no way I can ever "do" normal. I definitely never manage to match what girls are supposed to think though, no matter what I try, it all seems so stupid.
megaman, you know nothing. you mention nothing of his posture or movements. it amazes me how the whole world seems to not know how to read people's brain types by looking at them. i seriously will sit in a crowd and pick people off in less than 25 seconds each. they don't have to say anything for their type to come out clear you just have to be clear in your approach.
Jerk Off? Porn? I think my senses detect that your trying to wind me up ;)
The magazines in my study are mainly IT mags. infact the last "porn" mag was when I was around 15-16 years old.
I have to say out of all the tests ive done Ive never been described as ISTJ so I dont agree. I have around 150 books waiting to be read so cant be arsed to add another at the moment. im surprised that you have taken the time to study my backdrop so closely.
This is a great video funk! I am also an intj. There is actually this great site that you can join that will connect you with fellow intjs called personality cafe. Just go on google and search for the keyword personalitycafe. I met alot of my intj friends there and many more personalities. You can learn more about your personality as well as others. Just wanna help you out a fellow intj. :)
I find that whenever i am thinking of something or i heard of something that is stuck in my head i immediately have to go online and look it up and read about it.
@funkr77 uh, being logical and being emotional are not mutually exclusive. You obviously haven't met any female INTJs. Logic is used to field information, and make conclusions about that information. Emotion has a well-reserved place and purpose as well. And yes, your overstuffed yet well-organized bookshelf is a hallmark of INTJ-ness!
Hi, Thanks for your video. I am an ISFP man, so my type is pretty different from yours. But I have an INTJ friend, and although we are diffferent we are somehow "free spirits" and I like his independet mind. The main difference is that he analyses things very objectively, whereas I am more subjective, so we can never really meet on the same level, but we complement each other. Maybe ISFP:s and INTJ:s can come to the same conclusions about things, but in totally different ways?
Forget what daniela was saying, find someone who shares common interests and run with it. Forget this nonsense of trying to offset emotional instability; probably putting words in your mouth with that number. Perhaps an ENTP wold be a nice fit.
yet, in Jungian vein, what you most need is to open up to the emotional (shadow)side and not avoid the opposite, as in looking for partners of similar bent.
Also on the woman front you will be hard pressed to find a INTJ woman but could proly find a INTP woman with which you would get along with because they are as close to you as it gets. What kills me is people do not like talking about such stuff but it is such an awesome topic.Problem is once people really get the facts about INTJ and INTP people is they don't like knowing that those are generally the really smart ones in the pack so we get excluded put down and so forth.
Yeah but you only scratched the surface hehe.INTP & INTJ are so very close.I knew you where one of the two sense INTP and INTJ people communicate and grasp each others ideas better then others.People do not get along with us normally and not to be mean because our two mind make ups are in the top of the mental and IQ scale. This is not an attempt to sound superior it is just facts. However sense our groups are not as common as the others we are normally shut out of normal social life.
Excellent start! You should read about the functions, I think you would find it fascinating!

@ISMEY As am I, and viewers need keep in mind this vid was posted two years ago. A lot can change in that time, and many of us will come to accept that people are complex, irrational and illogical even at the best of times. We do what we can, consign ourselves to the gear works behind the scenes, build our empires and change the world...
ghostly2 11 months ago
@asopaso07 You are right, an INTJ is rather objective.
Objectively speaking, women as a whole are A LOT less logical then there counterparts.
You are an exception. Realize, we are not as much. :)
y0xHitxThatxChanxGuy 8 months ago
@asopaso07 if you're a female, you probably don't know what things are like from a male perspective, so it's not necessarily something you can judge as easiliy, im an intj male who hasn't been in ANY relationships,, so i can't really talk about women in relationships either.

Eg I live in London and have many friends who are racist towards blk ppl because they commit the most crimes in this particular area I am from. Even though my experience tells me this too, I refuse to believe that melanin determines behaviour. I rationalise it and asses class, educational & eonomical background. Emotional responses are not for the mastermind.

AlishaV1979 1 year ago

Mattfinish88 1 year ago
@Mattfinish88 I'm INTJ and some people think I have Aspergers or some level of autism, albeit mild. I still have around a 130 IQ though and I accomplish what I want, so I don't really care about a label like that.
OinopsPontos 1 year ago
1) the reason you find women illogical is because about 60-75% of women tend to be F while about the same percent of men tend to be T. in fact, 3/4 of NF types are female which means that NF males are even rarer than NT
2) you probably have trouble understanding the way people feel because your feeling is introverted like (like mine), introverted feeling deals with being in touch with yourself and having strong values.
raigekimaru 1 year ago
@raigekimaru
unlike extraverted feeling (which FJs and TPs have), introverted feelers don't make irrational decisions based on emotional impulsiveness (in fact, I am disgusted by people like this). NFPs are usually quite rational, but in a more subjective way. like INTJs, we try to get the most out of a situation with the least effort, but we may place value in different things (for instance, the subjective feeling of wearing an expensive sweater may be worth the objective cost in dollars)
raigekimaru 1 year ago
@raigekimaru
a few other traits of introverted feeling including, having a wild imagination, being attracted to fantasy, appreciating beauty, being able to tell if someone is being sincere or not and bonding closely with small children and animals.
raigekimaru 1 year ago
@raigekimaru (INTJ) I've always recognized that I have a disproportionately "fuzzy" emotional response around children and small animals. Having only recently become interested in the MBTI, I found myself looking for this behavior expressed in INTJ vids and media. Quite amusing how many common symptoms of the various types come out.
spoonydanger 1 year ago
@spoonydanger
well, if you're INTJ, your 3rd function is introverted feeling =)
raigekimaru 1 year ago
@raigekimaru Shh, there are no feelings behind the disaffected stare of an INTJ. My affection toward them is a deception. Something to redeem my public image while I plot. Yeah...that's it.
spoonydanger 1 year ago
@raigekimaru You seem to be into percentages. Do you happen to know the percentage of INTJs that are female?
On one video someone mentioned that .5% of women and 2.5% of men are INTJs. If true that would make it about 17%.
ssesf 1 year ago

I find that people "effect" what they want to get across rather than just telling me.
cosmik21 1 year ago
I'm at the point where I wish I could make a translator that will tell me what certain effects and gestures mean. I find that it requires extra effort on my part to remind myself mentally not to question the logic of someone's approach but just to recognize that they are making a friendly gesture.
cosmik21 1 year ago
All humans with healthy brains all vaguely emotional, but INTJs are great at hiding it, especially male INTJs.
I like computers because they're useful and allow me to pursue my interests independently.

MBTI is about temperament, not personality. Temperament, put simply, is the way your brain works. personality is unique to the individual.
PS: have you ever considered that you might be an INTP? your dominant function to me seems more like Ti than Ni. I could be wrong though.

}:-D
IggyHazard 2 years ago 2
exactly my thoughts. except I'm not trying to be a sociopath.
Chrisspy704 2 years ago
I'm actually not a sociopath. I just like to make fun of how we're stereotyped that way. In reality, INTJs are extremely empathetic toward others. Empathy isn't necessarily the same as emotion. That's a common misconception. We often have trouble sharing or expressing emotion, but have no trouble feeling empathy.
IggyHazard 2 years ago

@sheriffquick Usually I'm more myself and unemotional about relationships, but occasionally I try to emulate normal people and try and make myself feel what I'm supposed to feel.

Also on the woman front you will be hard pressed to find a INTJ woman but could proly find a INTP woman with which you would get along with because they are as close to you as it gets. What kills me is people do not like talking about such stuff but it is such an awesome topic.Problem is once people really get the facts about INTJ and INTP people is they don't like knowing that those are generally the really smart ones in the pack so we get excluded put down and so forth.
Edgrot 3 years ago
Yeah but you only scratched the surface hehe.INTP & INTJ are so very close.I knew you where one of the two sense INTP and INTJ people communicate and grasp each others ideas better then others.People do not get along with us normally and not to be mean because our two mind make ups are in the top of the mental and IQ scale. This is not an attempt to sound superior it is just facts. However sense our groups are not as common as the others we are normally shut out of normal social life.
