  • omg shitiest scream ever!! 1:43

  • I love Indians. they're so polite.

  • Haha Vegas mode!!

  • @nebulae10 Indeed it is. Are you intested in this field? Mainly male dominated.

  • When people want to get in this field most want to record music only. You have to be willing to expand beyond music to life off this profession. There are other fields besides music such as stated in the video like animation, films, radio, video games, live stage etc. Some tips:skip school and intern at a local studio. Get with an artist or producer thats prominent and be their sole engineer. As long as they get work so will you.

  • @giftedindividuals expand is good : )

  • At UTV... post the real news from ex-students..

This Job is for people who have passion for sound and want to do something different... There is no money, unless and until you have some big banner projects..

And one needs so called CONTACT or GODFATHER for big banner projects,

Students who wish to earn money can choose something else..

SAE INDIA takes 3 Lac plus from students for the course curriculum promising a placement, unfortunately fails to keep up their promise.. WELCOME TO REALITY...!!!

  • Keep away from that!

  • my dream job ...

  • they should just consider selling Camels instead.

  • Kerpal? :)

  • HAHAHAHA they use reason!!!! at a sound ingeneering school xDD

  • high paying jobs? i should move to india

  • VAT?

  • how you say fucking pakiis

  • @GutterColin how you say? ignorant bigot?

  • this is hot. you guys are so hot with your cute accents. what is this fucking millville. faggots

  • That is the most annoying accent I've ever heard.

  • 1:43 BAHAHA dafuck?!

  • a lot of you are saying there are no jobs in the recording industry, this is true for the US and Europe but India is the second fastest developing county in the world, meaning unlike the west new jobs in these areas are becoming available more regular as these services become more and more in demand. tbh going to learn sound engineering in country's like India (where there is probably a lack of these types of skills) is more relevant than in the went. i assume anyway.

  • @Goshie18 i am a professional audio engineer in the US there are jobs most people just have trouble cause they don't understand that its actual work an not just playing with fun toys all day, thats why most who enroll in these schools never graduate.

  • @portoqwerty Exactly, well said !!!

So many think with a diploma, they will get their dream gig.

I'm about to tell all of you what you need to put on the top of your resume to work in this industry.

    No it's not "Pro Tools"

It's "I show up on time and I don't wine like a bitch when I'm needed to work all night"

I'm serious. I dare you to put that at the top of your resume and watch how many music employers tell you,

"Finally some one that understands what I need!" LOL

    Good luck

  • .. and when they mentioned what you need they didn't mention acoustic treatment. This is VERY important! And their studio was set up wrong actually ... don't put your computer monitor between your speakers!

  • If anyone is interested we have a lot of great free clips on our channel ... at AES 2008 the keynote was about how to 'make it'. Build your studio, make music, sell it on the internet. Owning the gear is your ticket ... that and hard work! =)

  • 'Jobs in the audio industry pay well' - BULLSHIT!!! No they do NOT pay well. They don't PAY AT ALL!!!! Most recording engineers work for FREE.

  • Recording Engineering is not a profession, it's a hobby. You cannot make a living making recordings because nobody is willing to pay for studio time anymore. The only way to make a living in recording engineering is to open up your own 'learn recording engineering' school.

  • SLLUUURRPPEEEE!!!

  • I became one without school... you dont need school. you can get the same equipment for free on the internet. I use beat machines, abelton live, garage band, my own instruments and midi controllers. I learned the equipment through experimenting and reading the manuals. Just enjoy experimenting with sound. Ignore the comment by Robynadf. The future of sound engineering/ design is in video games, animation, phone apps, and movies.

  • Yes it help to know music and be able to play an instrument. You need to have perfect pitch and be creative. Also its working until the finished product is perfect, you must be a perfectionist. i got into the industry after making the sound and music for a video game for fun. I just did it cause i loved it. When we entered it into competition a game design company offered me a job as their audio engineer cause the sound was great. All i used was garage band lol... now i do what i did for free

  • Hopefully I'll become a sound engineer...I'm 16 and since 2008 i've been working in Fruity Loops and I've became very obsessed with it...i would really like to do this job because It's fun and It's not stressful um... one Question that i have....Is it necessary to know how to play an Instrument for this type of Job? I'm waiting for replay Thank You!

  • @oldskoolmano work on any project or productions at school and offer to help create the music/ sounds. Learn to work on projects and make it better with sounds.

  • @coolguy701 oh sorry, failed to mention I went to MTSU, I have a B.S in recording production & technology. great school, amazing teachers.

  • @coolguy701 like the guy below said, haha.. I do live sound reinforcement. Concerts, weddings, corporate events. I do some side stuff mixing studio work, but not much to even really be worth mentioning. I love my work though. Absolutely love it.

  • The only 'audio engineering' jobs are doing live sound for bands in bars. Nearly all the recording studios that recorded your favorite albums have gone bust. The top studios in the work can be booked out for $50/hr in block time because they are desperate to keep the lights on. Nobody buys music anymore, they just illegally download it. You can't make any money selling your records, so nobody can afford to pay for a recording engineer anymore. Sad but true.

  • mumbai?!! WTF?!

  • There are no jobs in Audio Engineering anymore. None. An audio engineering "qualification", from SAE, Trebas, Full Sail (full scam) etc it 100% completely and utterly worthless. Nearly all audio engineers work for free, the rest pay to work. The schools lie to you about 'placement success' because if a graduate winds up selling iPods at Future Shop part time, for 2 weeks out of 8 they call them 'placed'. Recording Engineering and Audio Engineering is finished. No jobs, not one anywhere.

  • @Robynasdf123 no seriously your not joking? i was looking at full sail myself....can you back up your claims? im not trying to defend full sail but if full sail really is a scam please tell. and what is this stuff about the world not needing a sound engineer? are my dreams done for? im i better of playing gigs in bars??

  • SAE is a scam, i went to a 4 year school in TN and aftern interning with several SAE kids i decided they didnt teach anything there. They throw all their money into fancy advertising but not towards hiring quality teachers. Now that I'm out in the audio world i literally never run into anyone who makes money in audio who attended SAE

  • @missplainjane That's because most of the teachers are SAE grads who couldn't find a job, and really don't have a clue about what they are talking about.

  • @missplainjane where did you go then? are you still in the audio world?

  • 1:44 yeah. ok. yeah. ok. damn. dude.

    ugh. NO!

  • furthermore a cheap school is better than a expensive one and i would only recommend school if you where trying to land a assistant job at a Big league studio or wanted to mess with million dollar consoles. Because a school on your resume is the only way your getting in unless your really lucky. In Engineering you learn everyday and as someone who has worked in big studios I can say 99 percent of you reason/mbox users haven't got the slightest idea of what real engineering is you think you do..

  • Schools help noobs understand all the complex concepts like soldering IE: technical maintenance , aligning a tape machine or HD rig , synchronization , midi etc... Basically they make it so when you show up to intern at a big studio you don't look like an asshole. Schools are only scams if you don't take advantage of the knowledge and or you fail at being an engineer. Its not a job for everyone that wants to try it. You must have musical talent and a good ear so you can communicate with clients.

  • SAE are rip offs. I've you've ever seen their website, there's one in Glasgow and i was looking into to starting but it's like £10,000 for 2 years. Just go to University and study there. It's cheaper in the long run.

  • im 12 yrs old and i know what im going to work when im bigga!

well it obvious, alrdy started with basics but i know nothing in comparison with other high lvl ppl, so anyone know where i can find lessons free for begginers?

  • How can she slap!?

  • Self learning school for Audio production:

Read manual + interact with other users on the software forums + read books ( or online) about recording mixing or recording.they are plenty of them + interact with other musicians.. Never rush... keep practicing...most are all scams... you are not sure if you get paid back.. my 2 cents

  • RIP OFF!

  • thank u come again ...

  • Sadly this video dosent even expose anything about how to be a sound enginner.

  • Nice....Really got a good insight on sound engineering=)

  • You kicked my dog!

  • @speaker3600 hahah!!

  • another con!!!!!!!!!!

  • hahah.... Their salary is less than the government wellfare here in Denmark

  • i know :'( it sucks totally, what more, i actually feature in this vid :'( *lol xD*

  • aaaah lalalalallalallala baderkaderka

  • Good information!!!.... thanks

  • SAE CLASS OF 10/06= 2007' ALUM...LOL

  • comparing if you like audacity to the sae course made me ROFL

  • Most of the schools are scams and are highly overpriced.

  • most are, this baby wasnt really one, got me decent job it did.

  • @MuddywatersTV That's right! I guess that happens because Sound Engineering is not something that you can study at public universities. The closest degree you can get is in Electrical Engineering from there it's basically your job to find your own path in "Sound Engineering"

  • VEDY GOOOOD

  • go to AUDIODAREDEVILS on my space music and listen to what i did in my kitchen.we just got on a major compilation alblum with it.big studios are a thing of the past.ive been playing with 4 tracks and stuff since the 80s ,i recorded 2 albums in major studios and was never happy cause the engineer didnt see the view i had.waist of time and money and travel.record at home on your computer with cake walk or somthing.its not that hard anymore.record at home and make cds.and take your time!

  • Hey... My college looks cooler in this video... But hey.. It did teach me a lot!! I miss SAE!

  • thank u a ton, now i know wre im headed to

  • i think i know the guy who manage SAE india....isnt it Mr.Kumar? lol....

funny part about this video is the guy was singing on a condenser mic(it looks like a RODE NT3) and actually holding it...hahaha

and being an audio engineer dont pay really good unless u drop urself in the right hands in the industry.

  • lol@ condenser mic

  • that was actually very informative... thanks...

  • Thanks india

  • Lol!

  • lol
