Damn dude that is fricking insane damn what a funny video it blew like clouds of dust nice and also nice computer lol hahaha my friend got one of those in like so long ago in like 2001 or sometime around there.
"A can of compressed AIR" , LOL never seen it but im sure they seel it here. Small 10 liter compressors are quite a common household item in europe , but my parents have a 400Volt 200 Liter industrial compressor and i blew the dust into smithereens. :D
@GTAfreAk112 really there is a feature that does that trust me if i could burn runescape i would but i cant cause its on the freaking internet andd gta is freaking awesome dude HANG TEN ! ! !
Uh yeah, that's the proper way to do it, outside with a hairdryer on high, and long freaking over due. From now on run it with the side panel permanently off. And be sure to blow the dust out of your CPU heatsink vanes, and from the fan blades of the pc power supply and cpu fan. As much dust as you have there, I'd take the power supply out and open it up and blow out the dust, and run the fans through a running faucent, then let throughly dry out before reassembly.
something people dont bother to to think about though, if you use an air compressor to blow out a computer or anything electronic, and you dont have an inline water filter installed on it, then be careful and point the air chuck and line upwards and blow the same way, follow the logic kids, im sure you can see why im saying that. . . . think about it, water and electricity dont mix!
and store bought computers are the worst of them. I have an air compressor and have cleaned out quite a few of the neighbors computers, the amount of dust that came out of them is unreal. Dust is one of the best conductors of electricity too which can fuck up the circuits aside from clogging up the heatsink among other things etc. yeah its a real wise idea to blow your computer out once in a while
So why do pple go on about buying compressed air cans then? This is just so much more effective. Thanks for opening my eyes. I'm off to get myself a hair drier right now.
Because hair driers and vacuum generate a stactic charge when the are being used which can cause damage to the components inside of the computer without you noticing, thats why people use compressed air because it doesnt generate a static charge.
That about electrostatic is almost bullshit. I mean, it can happen, but the thing is that you will clean really deeper using compressed air. Anyway, it's true that that gas is inert, and it will not generate any static discharges, but the main reason to use it is its concentrated strength in one point. Heatsinks and PSUs will be immaculate after using it. You can also use an air compressor, those used in car workshops.
screw a hairdryer dude, i just threw mine out the window.

Did you notice the performance increased or the temperatures lowered after you cleaned it out? Some of my components have been very hot recently.

A hair dryer can produce massive amounts of static electricity and kill your hardware.

dont run it without the side panel off. it ruins the front to back air flow of the case and doesnt cool the components properly.
just clean everything more often.

Yeah, if you want your Computer to last long, listen to his advise. If not you might end up changing the motherboard.

Gawd, I should just buy a blow dryer. It'd probably cost the same as a package of compressed air anyway. And I wouldn't have to buy more!

lol hair dryer nice.

It's cheaper than wasting a can of compressed air and it was on cold settings, so it didn't harm the computer.
DualGreen 3 years ago 12
For next time try blowing the dust outwards brother blew it straight in so not 100% of the dust came out.
I did that too the first 2 times i cleaned my computer.
jackderips 3 years ago
you goddam genius. ive been looking all over the place for a can that was cheaper than $15 but now I can put my sisters hair shit to use :D!
