I do not have an opinion one way or the other as to whether this is a good thing for boys to be wearing. I think it depends on the individual as to whether he is comfortable with it.

The boy at 0:32 appears to be wearing two-tone swimming trunks. Look, you can see the drawstring. But a lot of boys wore them AS shorts, especially boys who lived near the beach or a pool, and nobody really questioned them about it. Things were simpler and more innocent then.

I still find it funny how those today (even as old as their early-30's) argue with me that boys/men wore this style in the 1980's! I'm beginning to think if you remember this look firsthand (without the help of pictures), you're part of Generation X, if you can't, you're Generation Y. The dividing line seems to run around those born in 1976/1977 and 1978/1979. It is funny how just a few years difference, seems like they remember clearly, or have no recollection at all!
