  • At 2:48 Gus gives a huge tell, when you can see how hes raising his eyebrows and his forehead is tensed basically telling Negreanu, "please call me!!". Or, if your looking at it from Daniel's perspective it could mean, "Please let me win my semi-bluff / bluff!!"

  • Q DURO !! ESO SI DUELE

  • happens on pokerstars every 100th hand.

  • Wow, what a genius. He could sense that he didn't have the best hand when the flop came.

  • This is one of those perfect storm hands where neither player can possibly let go of their hand and just have to ride it out to the end. I had a similar hand except with Q's and 9's, and by the river there was a full house on the table but I hit quad 9's and cleaned out 4 other players who stupidly follwed me all in.

  • I hate when they do this - I do not want him to tell me WHAT they did, I can see that on the screen myself, I want to know WHY they did it for god's sake...

  • @TomMolivan ???? is Negreanu in this vid not saying WHY this and that happened? Are we watching the same thing?

  • @jiamonx2

"I decided to make it 5k, which is not what I normally do" - why? what are we trying to accomplish?

"On flop I tried to pretend I had AA/KK" - why? how can we profit from making villain think I got a strong hand, when I actually got one?

"Gus might bluff one more time if I let him, so I tried to make him think I had AA/KK" - Why do we think villain would bluff again if he thinks we have AA/KK?

  • @TomMolivan ??? I have no idea what you're talking about anymore

  • it's easy bet all in when you are in "the nuts"

  • @brunodiaz666 while it's an easy bet, it's not always the best move, 'cause you want the most money from the hand, so if you always go all in with the nuts, they fold more often.

  • 50% to 85% rakeback on Carbon Poker, PTC Poker, and Aced Poker contact sneakysnake003 on skype.

  • if i were playing i would have had a hand like 56s or 78s on my mind until his check raise all in, then i would think of 99 or 55, however the pot odds would compel a call as 56s would defintely shove all in and maybe gus loose style would shove with 78

  • id be putting him on 78s

  • Daniel you idiot, GUS CHECKED TO YOU! You shouldve checked it. DUH! End of story gay boi!

  • @steveparok00 yo dude with that pot u check ? maybe the max u fold at the reraise but check ? on the button ? wtf ? where u play poker cambodgia ?

  • @fredy432 YOU DUMBASS! GUS HANSEN CHECKED TO DANIEL. THINK YOU CHINK! I SWEAR... HOW DO THESE DUMBASSES SURVIVE LIFE?

  • @steveparok00 i was talkin about the sizeof the pot , not flop ret.. he had to give it a try , and the chances were pretty low to have the pocket 5 's , when your on the button , the guy checks , with a pair of 5 on the flop u check ?

  • @fredy432 IT DOESNT MATTER OF THE SIZE OF THE POT YOU DUMBASS, THATS THE LEAST YOU SHOULD BE CONCERNED WITH. GUS HANSEN BET LESS THAN HALF THE POT ON THE TURN, THINK MAN THINK... POCKET 9S, MAYBE TRIP 5S, OR QUAD 5S, THINK!!!!!

  • I witnessed the same thing a week ago except pre-flop 3 guys went all in. Pocket 5s vs 6s vs Aces. Flop came 5 6 9 turn 5 river K. The pot was like $2500.

  • "You are looking at a man who just lost 300 000 $ cash!" *Zooms in* lol

  • daniel face 5.34...loool dawmmmmm

  • Checking the river is never good hahahaha

  • Love the quote, "Your looking at a man who just lost almost $300k cash."

  • This is probably my favorite video by you

  • I remember this one. What struck me, and what this vid did really not show, was that Negreanu was CONVINCED he was beaten when Hansen went all in, but he made a pity-me speech and called.

  • @JiveDadson If you think about it, he only had the fourth nuts. Now granted it's on a board and in a situation that it's tough for Gus to have the nuts but a few hands beat him. And I don't really think that Gus is check raising worse than Daniel on the river for value here so yeah, it's possible to lay that one down.

  • Brilliant check by Gus on the river..

  • @bigmike7442 Not really... If daniel has 1010 or something like that, he s always just checking back. Tbh the only think he gets paid by is a full house and daniel is a calling station so never folding a full house.

  • I think he knows in his heart he was beat but convinces himself to call because it's gus.

  • You know what would Lederer do? Nothing, because he would already folded pre.

  • @MrSedalol ROFL

  • Galfond would have folded.

  • Quads over a boat -- yes, that is actually a bad beat. Not like people who think going all-in pre-flop with AKo and losing to AQo is a bad beat. That's just pre-flop, idiot poker.

  • That guy is edward norton at a poker table.

  • I feel like check raising the river was a bad play, but it still paid off

  • I would just call in the turn (obvious, I'm not professional)... cause all the cards on the board are higher than the 5s....

So, someone to call this amount would have 88 99

but nobody folds with a hand like that

  • if i had daniels hand i would have thrown the kitchen sink in with it

  • Everyone on you tube is a poker expert.

Everyone on you tube is a poker expert.

Everyone on you tube is a poker expert.

  • Hahaha, they were trolling Daniel when they edited this clip.

Daniel @1:55 "Everyone at the table thought I had aces or kings!"

Gabe @2:03 "The other players seem oblivious to what's going on in this hand."

  • @UTubeCommentsAreLOL Yep I thought the same. I'm a regular player on 2/4 and 3/6, and this is the kind of situation that you can avoid against a solid opponent. He won't ever c/r all in bluff on this river, and with 66 you're behind his whole range. If Daniel had 99, then it would have been a cooler. But with 66, you can fold this pretty easily.

  • @zHqqrdz

In hold em, set over set is a cooler. Quads over full house is definately a cooler. You must not make that much in your 'regular' games if you would fold 6s full on that board. Sorry son, but nobody that understands poker can fold this hand 'pretty easily'.

  • @tomzwon People saying "In hold'em, this is like this" are far from understanding the complexity of this game. I'm making 2k€ per day, I didn't say I'd fold this full everytime. But against some solid opponents who are never check/shoving anything else than a higher full house or quads, it's an easy fold. I can show you my graph, or even give you a free lesson since I'm a coach. My skype : sayahaha

  • @tomzwon Before you say that you would never, ever, ever consider folding here, answer one question: What is Gus ever c/r'ing the river with that Daniel can beat? No way would he turn an overpair into a bluff, nor would he c/r a straight with a pair on board. So what is Daniel still ahead of? Seriously, ask yourself if you can find a hand Gus might play in that way, on that board, that Daniel beats.

  • this guy gus sold his soul he cant lose

  • I can't believe how good a poker pro Daniel is. For anyone else it would have been a very easy call, but he kind of knew something was going on.

  • these guys could help maaaany hungry ppl in the world, but they play poker.

  • bad beat is on the fucking river u fucking donkie

  • @el3oz

um... the turn was a 5 giving quads...

  • @ponderer331 it wasnt on the river..bad beat is on the river

  • @el3oz

what the hell are you saying? learn to type

you just wrote "wasn't on the river" and then "is on the river"

you realize the river had nothing to do with this hand? any card could have came up other than the 6 left in the deck and you get the same result.

  • @ponderer331 i was drunk excuse me

  • @el3oz are you retarded?the 1 outer comes on the turn fucking moron

  • wow, what a bad beat!!! :O

have you seen this bad beat for $1.1 MILLION between Phil Ivey and Durrrr? watch?v=jNUDdZ6wwrk

    it's pretty sweet ;)

  • Daniels raised I think was wrong. Almost any hand you have can be beaten, and Gus hand by the river can't be beaten. Why say pocket 5s or 8 or 9 and not fold?

  • @Dlpn77 he says it with the intention of calling no one will ever fold this hand

nnot u not me no one not even howard lederer who is the tightest player ever lived on earth

  • Who says Gus read you for Aces and Kings? He played that perfectly and you, Negreanu, got owned. Plain and simple!!!

  • Negreanu claims he was 'trapping' hansen on the flop by convincing him he had aces or kings? That only makes sense if he knows he has three fives or two pair on the flop, so he's talking shit there, Hansen could easily have 10s, js, qs on the flop.

  • Folding is easier said than done.

  • Ive lost my last 3 games to bad beats lol kk v qq allin preflop 1st card out queen.AA V AQ I raised 2.5 times big blind from utg folded around to big blind who calls.Flop q24 he bet out i raised allin he calls q on the turn.aq v a4 when i had 20 big blinds i pushed in called by a4 which made a str on the river.Im getting to the stage of quitting the game and just sticking to greyhounds.

    you are a donk

  • @TwistedMetal32 you are a donk

  • @TwistedMetal32 hes a multi millionaire from poker.. r u?

  • @TwistedMetal32 He made the right play there moron , plus he had committed alot to the pot , and the hands that would beat him were pocket nines , eights or pocket fives , which in my opinion was very unlikely for Gus to have , learn your odds and for the time being please , you and the idiots that thumbed you up stick to your 50 cent SnG tables .

  • @cheeeweyyy Calm the fuck down, I was joking, hence the ":P".

Sit your ass back down and do what you do online.

  • @AWDracer lol dumbass

  • @MultiClickonme You're an idiot too.

  • @AWDracer he was sarcastic you retard.

  • @MultiClickonme He wasn't being sarcastic.

Most people on Youtube are pseudo poker pros.

They think they can lay down ANY hand.

  • @AWDracer "A University of California scientist recently discovered that the ability to use and understand sarcasm happens on the right side of the brain and served a purpose in the evolution of human beings.

Neurophysiologist Katherine Rankin observed that those with dementia or head injuries in the parahippocampal gyrus, which is located in the right side of the brain, often lose the ability to pick up on sarcasm and are unable respond in a socially appropriate ways."

looked it up just for u

  • @aquarius198 Thanks bro. I really appreciate it.

    Pick up that sarcasm, dumbass?

  • @TwistedMetal32 ,u are the stupid one,u fkuc

  • @TwistedMetal32 Shut the fuck up

  • @TwistedMetal32 You can be beat, and it is a lot of money, not few dollars. Sometimes you fold great hand and could save you money.

  • @TwistedMetal32 No you wouldn't have.

  • he's playing against the great dane and not against an idiot like montgomery or any other noob

  • damn....

  • fuck $300,000 cash. He just lost a new house !!!

  • Comment removed

  • @KARAB1NAS he has just lost a full house!!

  • have u guys realized at the end when daniel says " gus was wrong, his read wasnt right im not more likely to bet on the river than call... i sold pocket aces or kings" .. <---- him saying that is wrong itself---- he bad a boat lol, gus's read was right that daniel had a strong hand, whhy else would he go ovver the top all in .... also daniel only raised gus to 5000 after gus bet 2100 preflop---tahs not aces or kings daniel.... negreanu is more overrated poker pro in world

  • This happened to me last weekend. I had pocket aces and three jacks on the board. Of course he had a jack.

  • he lost 300.000$, that would be a nice house for his family...

  • These sites are a complete JOKE after you play webcam poker on pokerview! We can all see each other real live making real moves man. Was up all night last night!

  • wonder how much the dealer got tipped!

  • This isn't a bad beat according to NoBadBeatsPoker, but still ugly.

  • HOW DO YOU PRETEND YOU HAVE AN ACE OR A KING IF YOU DIDNT HIT ANYTHING? HM?

  • @ironvin21 he said AceS or KingS.. AA or KK..

  • Danny reasoning is why he is behind the big guns in cash game play. I would always check this hand on river expecting my opponent to bet any hand he has for value on the river. I'm gonna check raise nut full house or quads every time. Gus played the river like a champ,

  • @plugngun you look so stupid if the guy checks behind with Aces or Kings tho, just what Negreanu was trying to represent

  • hurts my eyes how unlucky daniel has been on all the season of hsp, except maybe the 1st season

  • bad beats pay off on the long run...

  • How about my bad beat? I had 99, the flop came 29Q. I went all-in, two of my opponents folded and the last one went all-in also. He showed me AA. One of those guys who folded said that he had an ace. Then, the second one admitted that he also had an ace! My opponent had no outs but then the turn came a queen and so the river did. WTF?! The only adventage of this SICK situation was that it wasn't online. If it had been online, i would have smashed my PC.

  • if i was Daniel, I would have checked out on the river, and i have done it before. The pot was big enough for the power of the hand, (especially if you are unsure of the opponnets hand) plus you get a free look, besides he didnt have the nuts to be able to trap Gus on his river check.

  • @Ackdacka Yeah checking would've been the right move in that situation, but what were the odds of Gus having 55-88 or 99? he could've had a straight or busted stragiht draw, maybe even 5-8 for a lower full, of course busted draw probly woulda bet, and if checked, won't call any bet from Daniel. I must admit that almost only 8-5 woulda call the river bet, other hands would result in a reraise, yeah check is the right option, but that was hard to do with the hand he had! Pretty sure I woulda bet

  • i really respect negreanu...i dont like tournament play since i joined dueces cracked but negreaus strategy i stilll respect...

  • Gus Hansen looks exactly like Wax the rapper :P

  • Absolutely brilliant check on the river by Hansen.
