Marillion are way too classy to become a shitty 'U2'. I've been a fan since '83 when Fugazi was a masterpiece. Fish is a legend as is Steve Hogarth. The most moving music ever composed.
Fish and Marillion are two different entities. Poles apart on their musical direction. The same can be said for Genesis...when Peter Gabriel fronted the band in the late 60's to mid '70's.
well, from what I gather...the inspiration for this video was the communication barrier Fish and the band had back in 1988...when Fish went solo? Am I right? Listen to "Tux On"...to me this is a good indicator of how fish felt at that period in his life. Thank God Marillion never became U2!
Dear Marillion. You need a much more talented singer than Steve H. is. Why did you let Fish go? He needs you, and you need him. You owe the world a good singer and lyric writer and that ingenious music you made with Fish in the 1987s. Wish you'd never split up.
I know..this couldn't never be the winner...but if this video would be used as the official song video, Marillion could really get the approval from all Fish Era fans. I really appreciated, congratulations!
I refused to accept Steve Hogarth as a Marillion singer for a long time. Eventually I've learned to like them both but still, nostalgia and a certain feeling of unfairness remain.
I guess I'm more used to Friday's lunch as well. Funny thing is outside of an Arthur Treacher's Fish 'n' Chips was a sign that said H, which was for fire hydrant. h made the band his own, sounding like a whole new one.
Steve H. is a singer whose voice I cannot hear a long time. And he's not that talented in making music and lyrics, as Fish was. Wish, they'd never split up!

I never cared about either Fish(whoever he is) or Marillion, nevertheless this is still quite pleasant.

Close. I was thinking more of the never-ending fan dispute about which singer was better etc. But your interpretation works too. :)

The seasons end album is very good. But after that I just can not sink my teeth in to their music.

To each his own, I guess. :) I, for example, don't really like "Brave" - which is generally considered one of their best albums. Oh well... :)
