There is no doubt that this team is one for the ages but it sure isn't good for the game. Think about it, why are the Pistons outdrawing the Wings this year? The Wings are hands down the best team in their league while the Pistons weren't even the best in their division. It has to do with style and the Pistons are a reflection of their community while the Wings put people to sleep.

I understand you're a Pens fan, but if any European is going to do it, I would put my money on Nicklas Lidstrom. The fact that no European captain can ever do it is, in my opinion, a bit of a myth. It's bound to happen with this influx of Europeans coming in since the 80s.

I think it's been pure coincidence that only North American captains (namely Canadian captains) have been able to lead their teams. Just 'cause Stevie Y left means the Wings can't win anymore? I didn't think so.

I just mentioned the cap cause I kinda miss the old school hockey, when guys would play their whole career or most of it, on one team. But I must admit the cap is a positive thing for the league. Sure I like the Pens, but they are not my favourite team...so to conclude I say I still miss the cap regardless if pens would finish last or not.
