  • Why does everyone mess with Sweetwater? Their prices are competitive, and their great service more than merits any price increase (if any).

  • Love the sound of the Martin Mahogany guitars!

  • Fantastic guitar and great sales staff!

  • It's spruce that is harvested in the Adirondack mountains of NYS.

  • Who needs internet porn when there's videos of Martins on Youtube?

  • I would of liked to heard it flat picked.

  • I have this exact guitar! Bought it new and it was worth every penny. However, I have a hair line fracture on the "adirondack" as you put it. It starts just behind the string ports for about 2 to 3 inches. I was wondering if this has happened to others in the past and if my lifetime warranty will cover this. I have a friend with a D-15 that he treats with little care and has not had a problem like mine. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  • Why does sweetwater always talk like they made the guitar? "With this model we've gone with a little more vintage style, as I said it had th Adirondack top, we use the tops on guitars that are much more expensive than this" I mean I love sweetwaters reviews, but I noticed that in like every vid

  • @Noseheros that guy is a martin rep....... he doesn't work for sweetwater

  • @Tylerhockey4 Oh really! Thats pretty awesome then! So for every video they get a representative? I must've underrated them

  • @Noseheros - That's right, for the majority of our videos we're lucky to have manufacturer's representatives presenting the product. We do our best to display their name and position at their company at the beginning of the video. Some of our videos, such as the "Sweetwater Minute" series, feature Sweetwater Editorial director Mitch Gallagher and sometimes Director of Product Optimization Daniel Fisher. Thanks for watching, stay tuned!

  • I have this exact guitar, and I purchased it from Sweetwater. Ive been really impressed with the guitar, and I thought the service from Sweetwater was incredible.

  • This guitar even sounds good on my crappy laptop speakers. By the way, I have found Sweetwater to be very competitive in terms of price. Also, you can actually reach people by phone. Their customer service is outstanding.

  • I really like the D-16, specifically the D16rgt, great sound.. but i think the Adirondack might be worth the extra money. so i started looking into the d16 adirondack, but was really dissapointed when i found out it had mahogany back and sides. i read on your site, "The mahogany rounds out the spruce's power, adding just the right amount of warmth to the sound." but could you explain this a little bit more to me.. i just really liked the look of rosewood, and never had rosewood on a guitar b4.

  • @RedLedZep I'm not sure which Martin specs you were looking at, but this is from Martin & Co. spec sheet for the HD-16R Adi.

    • Mortise/Tenon Neck Joint• D-14 Fret body size • Solid Adirondack Spruce top• Solid East Indian Rosewood back and sides with polished gloss finish• Style 28 rosette • Hybrid "X" Scalloped top bracing made of Solid Adirondack Spruce (5/16"), etc.

  • @Revolution1117 If you are preferring to the guitar in this video. It doesn't have rosewood back and sides. It is mahogany. The spec. you give are for a different guitar.

  • @RedLedZep The D-16 ADI Top, with its Hybrid Scalloped bracing. It has all kinds of vol.and tone, with a well balance sound. They have the vol. of a Rosewood. It is hard to believe, but true go try one. You won't believe the deep bass and vol.

  • the soundquality is not got, why don´t you get a mic setup, that would sell the guitar so much better

  • What kind of tree is an "ADIRONDACK"?

  • @belikewater001 Hey there. It's a type of spruce.

  • Sweetwater is so expensive I can't believe it's still in business

  • @WildGunman77 Thanks for checking out our video. You know, we've heard things like this said before, but the reality is — our pricing is extremely competitive. For example, the Martin D-16RGT. It's $50 less here, and it comes with our 55-point inspection, a 2-year warranty, and free shipping. We do bundle a lot of free extras with the gear you get here, because we believe in great service. But that's at no extra cost to you.

  • @WildGunman77 . yea i thought so at first.. but after hours of surfing through various online stores, i found their price to be really competitive. and i'm not related to sweetwater in anyway.

  • You thinck Martin would accept a kidney ?, i have two

  • sounds very good...chunky!!!

  • I think MArtin should send me one for free! =)

  • @chesshirecat2 go take the factory tour if ur local, free guitar at the end of it

  • very nice!!
