  • 1.15 review*

  • Hey honey, you can wake me up with a Blowjob :D nothing about light, just your mouth and my.....

  • @rorrito22 no comment needed....... :@

  • I bet u guys were having fun and made her do the review. Well done i'd say.

  • Goodness, I want want one! Hello from the Northwest Territories, Canada

  • @Machoboy94 if you are a little handy you can just hook a dimmer and a timer to a powerful lamp of choice.. its not that hard.

  • Check out wakeuplightreview . com for more reviews on this great product. Just take out the space.

  • Just seen the Philips Wake-up Light experiment called Wake Up The Town, where they give the light out to a town at the North Pole. The film looks amazing. I might get one now.

  • review fail ... background noise .. grasping for sentient detail ... no demo of sounds .. no price point comment .. talking away from the camera .. just general review fail.

  • this is stupid..

    don't we have windows

    whatta dumb.. medical device LOL

  • @topstriker This is stupid.

    Don't we have seasons?

    What a dumb... person. LOL.

  • @AndrooUK Thanks for making my day. <3

  • @AndrooUK Lol! Hilarious!

  • @topstriker

Some regions, generally higher north, have very long sunny summer days but suffer from dark and grey depressing winters.

Windows won't help you in that case.

This is a great invention and I've heard many people successfully gain energy from it in the morning.

  • @topstriker if i would use my window instead of this devide i would wake up at 3 a.m. in the summer and 9 p.m. in the winter, which isnt too good as i need to get up around 6-7 a.m.

  • I did bought that shit.. its shit,, if you are sleeping, u can hide your head under the pillow.. i know alot about being desperate

  • U suck, tell me if it works well, dont give me promotion of the product which ive already read about.

  • you know what else would work? A lamp with its power going into an automated timer. Depending upon the price of the lamp; it would be about 1/10th the price of this trendy light.

  • Kate, with her fooo kind smart ass tilt of the head "all good health" and mooking of the Tech behind a real need for SAD lighting - like we in the US political debate like to say as much use as arguing with a table!

  • If you buy this you're an idiot. I'v bought some stupid things in my time but this is by far the dumbest. Doesn't keep the time, isn't very loud and the radio antenna's cack - it does 3 things and does them all badly. May the people who made this face eternal damnation

  • $200 CND. Are you serious?

  • AND, UHM

  • i wonder what if your head is turned the other way..

  • The whole room gets bright

  • I feel like buying one, does anybody know if it's seriously this great? And don't you get used to it?

    Please let me know:)

    Greetz

  • i have and they're good but don't expect yourself to feel fresh as a daisy though just because its different to other alarm clocks

  • WOW

  • there is a new model out - with ipod dock - here is a video i found: watch?v=91OitvwqCe8

  • I wonder if something similar can be done with a bedroom light on a dimmer switch?

  • good thinking, I'm sure it can be done for a fraction of the price.

  • thats not a review. its a commercial

  • Bloody 'el she's bleedin 'ot

  • If you take the sound down to zero to switch it off, has anyone noticed that it still plays the sounds when alarm goes off, be it though very very quietly.

It does so on my one and i am not sure whether if all of them are like that or just the one i have is broke.

Anyone care to test out with theirs and let me know?

  • Mine does the same - very anoying. It'a brand new.

  • Yes! Mine has a constant anyoing hum. Returning it.

  • mine alway do like rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr :d

  • cool thx for the heads up on this annoying flaw, i was gonna buy one, now im rethinking

  • it was great!

  • I have one it's really great! I didn't know really whether I would wake up with the light or not, but I did the first time, as like the following weeks I have had it now. It's a fantastic way to wake up!

  • i'd like to mod a normal alarm clock in this way, but i haven't electronics skills to do it. maybe somebody will make a video for this

  • I don't think you really can. When the light starts shining to wake you up, the special philips bulb has this reddish glow, which turns into a bright sunshine light eventually. It's a really complicated system, so I don't think you can actually copy it

  • its easy

  • All incandescent bulbs start out with a reddish glow and becomes white.

  • Lots of "erms"

  • Very cool \o/ cant wait to get it

  • Cool gadget.

  • Thanks for posting this video. I heard a lot about it, really wanted to see it. Better than TellSell :P

  • Katie looks nice ;)

Wouldnt mind waking up next to her :)

  • wanna wake up with you lol

  • brat

  • I probably need two.

  • lol

  • I need a Wake Up Light.

  • God.. 30 seconds of uh's and uhm's and the rest was pretty much a simple sales pitch... what did you mean with review ?!?

And what do you mean with 'apparently it has bird sounds'... did you even have a look at it or not ???

So, anyone have any real experience with it ? Is it a really expensive, glorified light dimmer or does it actually "do" something ?

  • Totally agree, that was more of a dull sales pitch.

If it's any help though, I've heard that this light has recommended to help with Seasonal Affective Disorder. That's about all I know.

  • thanks

  • You're welcome :)

  • Looks like the lovechild of a Dalek and R2D2.

    What were Philips thinking?

Even stuff you see on that pathetic Innovations catalog are better designed!

If they get the design right, I may get one.

Just so that I add to my collection of dust gathering expensive useless garbage, obviously...

  • I've seen this light-as-an-alarmclock idea about ten years ago in a rerun of Beyond 2000, and I've been looking for one ever since! And now it's being promoted as something new and innovative. Which I suppose it is, but not by Philips. And we could have had it for way longer! :(

Still, I'm going to get one.

  • It's pretty expensive for a radio/bulb/dimmer :P

  • it was great!

  • wakeuplight is a good idea, but what this alarm clock is nothing but crap.

  • I meant to give it a 5 star rating and accidentally gave it just one! This clock will work well with the blue light bulb that supposedly best wakes up your brain.
