  • Yes I do Agree us professional carpet cleaners would charge a little more than a detailer at a car wash would. We have more powerful machines to extract the dirt and water with, and are most likely to get far better results. If you are stuck in a situation where you absolutely had to do this like after really getter the carpet dirty I would okl but get it professionally cleaned asap.

  • Expert Village - sorry, but I vacuumed it first, then I used real foam/shampoo on the seats/carpets. Then, I scrubbed it with a soft brush, and wiped with towels after that. Guess what - it took me only 20 to 30 minutes, and that worked!

  • im trying to save some cash to get a small duramid upholstry extracotor, that would boost up my detailing bizz up...i cannot soak the carpet and use a wet vac...i could not do that to my customers

  • What kind of vacuum are you using???

  • my clients would FREEK if i did that to their cars , i think that you may want to watch some educational vids yourself old chap

  • SIMPLE GREEN IS SUPPOSED TO BE GREEN, NOT PINK!!!!! Wow thumbs up if you think all Expert Village tuts are worthless!!

  • That's not "Simple Green".

  • i like how there was no how to in this video. im done with expert village

  • expertvillage makes the worst how to videos simply because they are wrong!

  • You shouldn't suck water up into the vacuum cleaner....

  • @wickedmental It's prolly a shopvac-type of vacuum.

  • I hope you aren't charging anyone for that. Professional Carpet Cleaners; such as the guys that do home and commercial carpet cleaning can clean more thoroughly and produce superior and much healthier results.

  • @rjfdube Actually that gets a lot of stains out. You charge customers based on packages. Carpet cleaning is usually included in a package that the detailer offers. The truth is that a professional carpet cleaner would charge you what the detailer can hit for a lot cheaper.

  • @rjfdube I use APC on carpets for shampooing, I use a good amount to were it lathers. It takes out all stains, works amazing, so idk what your talking about.

  • all these fancy degreasers, and powerful shop vacs are a waste of money if you only clean your car every now in then, all you need is a can of stain remover, hard bristle brush, damp rag and small 1.5 horse shop vac, all in all, it will only cost $40 for all the tools you need and you can get professional results.

but, i have a 5 horse shop vac for my garage and that works just fine as well

  • he makes it look so easy..

  • You can use a shop vac (which I personally have, but the mini sized), but I perfer my SteamVac Dual V. I really haven't cleaned my car at all, so I'm going to be amazed.

  • I use a 5.5 hp shop vac and I'm a professional detailer. Extractors are for house carpets. only the inexpierenced think they need anything stronger than a shop vac. been using it for years on thousands of highend cars. no complaints.

  • Hey, i was wondering if anyone can help me name this product; its a vacuum that sucks and blows (has different hoses, features etc).

Anyone know the name of this product?

  • My shop vac (thats the name) can do both as long as the attachments are switched over. I have seen some made by ridgid at home depot. usually a good one is around 100 bucks.

  • @leonidarizzo Metro Vac and Blow ?

  • @mikesfastgt Exactly, all these people that use extractors are wasting money since they cost at least a thousand dollars , you need APC, good shop vac, DA carpet brush, and hot water in a bottle.

  • actually asshole you can use a regular shop vac why spend a bunch of money on a extractor those can get expensive when at home depot you can get one for less then 70 bucks with double ends one to vac and the other to blow all the water out of the cracks to prep it for wax

  • actuly i have a regular carpet cleaner and it has not got very good suction. so this guy is doing quite well but is starting off in the wrong places.

  • The thing to remember with valeting is, there are no rights and many wrongs, its what works for you

  • quite wright

  • Actually he is pretty much right but you do need a extracor with SUPER hot water. But if the carpet is really messed up thats a great way to pre-treat it.

  • hes almost as bad as the other guy jose zuniga on expert village

  • Hey did you know this guy was on dateline nbc to catch a predator

  • wow , when can you clean my home?? nice homer d.i.y apron. makes me want to sell my truck mount and brush my way to riches,

  • Honestly who cleans carpets like that! Thats unbelievable! How can you get them clean that way? If you really want to do a great job you need the use a carpet extractor. What an idiot

  • backyard dyi only! not pro detailing! you are sooooo right about the extractor. degreaser? my clients would scream!

  • you can achive the same results with a hot water bottle after scrubbing and vacuuming, just spray hot water several times to remove any excess soap and or cleaner. All the extractor does is speed up the process.

  • an extractor will have more pull than just a vacuum.

  • trust me you can get some really powerfull vacuums, 6hp vacuum is going to have more power than the extractor for sure.

  • @zzyyhh35 This is what you do when gay porn won't have you.

  • What this means with respect to interiors is that the soap that remains will continue to do its job cleaning dirt off everything it touches actually making the interior dirtier FASTER. The upholstery MUST be extracted with a hot water extractor to remove these residues if you want the job done properly.

  • That is true but a lot of small detailing shops do not have extractors so they use a wash mitt with all purpose cleaner soap and a shop vac. Besides if your doing this at home at home chances are most people wont have extractors.

  • This video is flawed in so many ways. While this may work to a certain extent, it is not the proper way to shampoo upholstery. All you are doing in this method after the shampooing is extracting moisture from the carpeting. You aren't however RINSING the dirt and soap away. To draw an analogy - this would be like having a shower and soaping up and instead of rinsing the dirt and soap off - toweling the dirt and soap off leaving behind a soapy residue.

  • You should see the other guy who does these videos. Talk about flawed.

  • Is he the Mexican guy? If so I saw some of his stuff. Pretty scary indeed.

  • That's the guy.
