  • i want the smooth animation when i press enter to search that little feture there would make me switch over to bing

  • Looks soooo, SOOOOOOO good, but please actually release it, because we WANT IT NOW!

  • great now release it plz and thanx

  • One year later, and most of this still isn't implemented :(

  • Typical Microsoft-speak. You can do the same in any browser and using IE9 is not necessary at all. In fact, any other browser will do it better.

  • I gave up Google since I have Bing. With Bing I can find good search result.

  • I don't know if posting this on a google site is a good idea................................................. They might copy your idea, like every other thing they said was "New" That being said, I am excited where Bing is going

  • Cool I never knew position had a value of absolute because IE sure works well with the css standards.

Don't Get me wrong I am looking forward for the HTML5 preview of Bing I enjoy Bing, but the fact that you guys market IE9 like its some power house in my mind it has some catching up to do. (Excluding hardware-accel).

  • Anyone noticed that only the waves are moving . The clouds aren't. That's funny .

Anyuway ! BING IS BINGTASTIC .

  • how do you enable FMV feature in Bing?

  • This is pretty sweet! Cant wait to try it out :D

  • so when is this going live? seriously...

  • ITS COMEING IN NEVER COMEING SOON IS BULL SHIT

  • @TheComedyfan5 It will come out later this month when IE9 RTMs. The opt-in site has already gone live, but the link does nothing.

    bing[.]com/peek

  • @gordon9821 if google made it you would love it.

  • @utubeb14 Why do you make that assumption?

  • @utubeb14 Google sucks. Just look at their maps! Can you watch your house from 4 sides and non-flat-sattelite photo with Google? Nope!

  • Теперь я понимаю зачем ИЕ9 аппартаная поддержка прорисовки..

  • this is flash? :?

  • oh wow, going to look foreward to trying this out when the final version arrives. Chrome was crap and ruined both of my desktop's internet explorer : / Always a microsoft fan, watch out google.. microsoft is back!

  • The power of IE9? How about the power of standards that other browsers have been supporting for what seems like years now! Instead of praising this as some new innovation, let's simply thank Microsoft for FINALLY adding support for the next generation of Web standards NOT developed by Microsoft. Now, developers can use a full toolset without quite as much concern for the biggest browser on the market being a terrible one.

Pretty dress Microsoft, but you were still awful late to the party!

  • @ZenFoundry I think your being a bit of a selfish cock. IE9 is by far the fastest loading browser, the nicest looking, being the first to use CSS 3. Its late, but it enters with a bang.

  • @jakedee010 whaaaaaaaat? Even Netscape has CSS3 features, wtf are you talking about?

  • @ZenFoundry They are talking about HTML5! Which I think you'll find hasn't been around too long!

  • Actually Internet Explorer 9 best apply with Windows 7. So try it.

    Thanks and regards.

  • Is there a way to see this in live ? I only the standard Bing with IE9 Beta...

  • Link to the IE9 enhanced Bing? :)

  • this is impressive. In regards to who is better... Google has mastered many search needs because that's their primary focus. Bing is newer, although MSN has been around for a while. I wouldn't say Google is better or even Bing is better. It depends on what I'm looking for. There's a side by side compare search called bing-vs-google and you will see what I mean.

  • I agree with you @darkurious and in fact I have both Toolbars in my IE8 and sometimes compare the search results - like getting a second opinion. It has been said that competition drives technological improvements even Information Tech. field. Even the CEO recently said in an interview that he was worried about Bing.

If you remember the car rental company Avis and Hertz. Bing/MSN is trying harder - and it shows in a good way.

  • Bing is trying to take over Google by making it "look cooler". Google is still better.

  • (( On an unrelated note, YouTube should allow editing of comments ))

  • @NetAntwerp In the US Yahoo uses Bing, for other countries Yahoo still uses their own index. If it says "Powered by Bing" on the bottom of the page, its from bing.

  • @byronmhome Example searches

    - "Firefox" -> Bing.com (3,930,000 results), yahoo.com (4,060,000)

    - "ski trip" -> Bing.com (164,000,000), yahoo.com (179,000,000)

    - "halo reach" -> Bing.com (47,400,000), yahoo.com (34,700,000)

Different results, despite the "Powered by Bing" fineprint.

  • @NetAntwerp They won't match exactly. A few years ago when Yahoo used Powered by Google they didn't match either. The API that Yahoo uses to access the index may not have the same serp estimation as the bing index itself.

  • @byronmhome Still unconvinced that Bing and Yahoo! provides different search results? Try searching for "Net Antwerp" and compare the results.

Further proof that Yahoo! and Bing use different indexing algorithms, and that Bing search still performs poorly on obscure search terms.

  • Google results are way more accurate than Bing's

  • @thecrackmaster Not at all. I find they're both good. Bing had "depth" issues for a little while there however they seem to have their crawlers out in full force and have current content indexed and some long tail searches finally coming together.

  • please please please add the ability to continue to the next page in the same page

  • You mean ping and not bing, right?

  • I think if they get this right, and get IE9 right, they can really increase the heat on Mozilla and Google

  • Wow this is really awesome

Bing has demostrated to be better than Google, I like this joint with the latest IE9

  • bing is the BEST!

Bing Will be The Next google!

  • Google Web Search is much more accurate than Bing... Hell, even Yahoo! Search fetches information more accurately than Bing does.

  • @NetAntwerp Yahoo uses Bing for search results now. Haven't you noticed the "Powered by Bing" logo on the bottom of the page? *sigh*

  • @mariomj71099 what year are you stuck in, W XP not to mention how much ass it sucks.

  • @alijahgreen XP wins Vista sucks, 7 is excellent, I would upgrade to 7 but I can't afford it, or I should buy the Professional Edition which is 30 bucks

  • @assolombardo I hate Microsoft because they didn't put IE 9 on XP.

  • @mariomj71099 So you hate ***** (insert your car manufacturer), because they don't put a better motor in your old crappy car every year? It's about time you buy a new comp.

  • @StarkAmnesia I'm about to, my dad's gonna buy me a new eMachines eM350 netbook with Windows 7 Starter on it.

  • @mariomj71099 Starter? Are you serious? Please do yourself a favor and buy Home Premium. Starter DOES NOT include:

Aero Glass, meaning you can only use the “Windows Basic” or other opaque themes. It also means you do not get Taskbar Previews or Aero Peek.

Personalization features for changing desktop backgrounds, window colors, or sound schemes.

    Etc.

Go to Google (or Bing) and paste this: "Let’s talk about Windows 7 Starter"

Click the first hit and read the article.

  • @StarkAmnesia Don't worry, there are tweaks so you can enable Aero, change wallpapers and more!

  • Walaa!!!!!!!!! Love Bing!!!

  • Nicely done...

  • Fantastic. I already liked Bing better than Google because it's just more pleasing to look at and accurate with search results, and this is just going to further adhere me to it. Great job!

  • awsome!!!

  • mackenziepricee you are another retro freak, get with the times. You probably can customize it to be GRAY...how sad with your worthless comment.

  • Not a fan of the coloured 'outer-background'. Should always stay one set colour, like grey, like it already is.

  • amazing :D

  • Great job!, as long as you keep away from silverlight I'm a 100% happy Bing user.

  • @roalgumo7 What's bad about Silverlight compared to, say, flash?

  • @RealMcForesT Oh I hate flash even worst, I'm a no plugins fan.

  • This is awesome!

  • looks like you beautified search!

  • awesome

  • bravó, animated background :-)

  • That was pretty interesting how this will integrate with Win7.

I didn't use IE much but I might take a look after IE9 comes out...

  • Please fix the quick tabs, they look terrible. The actual HTML5 features are great though.

  • 1st to watch lolz
