@shuboos Amen. Good word. I am really meditating on this. God working the sinful nature out of us is working the pride out of us. And I am SO RECOGNIZING my trauma drama "reactions" as pride and ruin in me in the sinful nature. And I endured a full descent into hell, full immersion in the lake of fire -- which is full terror and full panic. You not only "see and know Satan" for what he is -- you've been DRAGGED DOWN TO HIS LEVEL. It's taking part in fall, so that you arise.
@shuboos The only way to arise is in Christ, by the fruit and power of the Spirit - grace love and peace -- mercy. Satan is as EVIL as we all know but we must not "react to him" or he has exploiting a foothold in us. Must cleave to Jesus. Been pondering how Michael when he disputed with Satan durst not bring railing accusation. Assertiveness opposed to the fault of reacting in like spirit to an evil spirit giving Satan a foothold. The woman crushes him under her feet. No foothold.
I read somewhere that satan was given dominion of the All that is between the waters. Then it would make sense those waters would be turbulent. Now I'm picturing 'The born again Of Gods' Spirit and who finds his way to 'The Kingdom of God' as one who is walking on that water but on the other with those in darkness under our feet. Sort of reminds me of another story I read somewhere.
@grady1610 Profound. Perfect peace -- it takes perfect peace to walk on those waters like that. Peter got shaken up on the inside... didn't have perfect peace anymore -- and began to sink. Very great illustration you did that "brings it to life". The "waters of our soul" have to be in perfect peace and the river of life from our inward belly. TOTALLY NOT humanly possible. But, with God, all things are possible. God bless.
Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Matthew 14:28-30
King James Version (KJV) 28And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. 29And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. 30But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
@grady1610 31And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? 32And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased. 33Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.
pride comes before a fall (and i speak only of myself) but always he lifts me back up....of course thats aftter he takes me to the woodshed!
