What I don't understand is Zelda was highly rated on NES. This was essentially a port in different clothing (But bigger, yay). Yet this got a rubbish rating from our UK SEGA mags. But the game rocks!

I have played this game on emulator. I will not be getting a real SMS. As I can play this game on Sonic Ultimate Genesis collection. I might get a power base converter for my Genesis in order to play SMS games. Speaking of Zelda I have been a fan of Zelda games since Zelda Links Awakening (Gameboy). The classic Zelda games are my favs.

The only problem I had with this game was the Sega controller, it was kind of slow to respond so I got the crap kicked out of me by those weird blobs and the green guys that throw spears. Maybe it was just my controller cause you don't seem to have a problem there. Apart from that, solid rpg.

Exact same problem here. The SMS is one of the worst controller for me. Try plugging a Genesis controller if you have one, they work.

Sega screwed up a couple of things. They should have just made a 4 button controller from the start, then left out the Transbot card slot (that only had a couple of lame games, anyway), and expanded the color pallet like Genesis. Most of the graphics improvement from Genesis was from the 512 color pallet, which would have been easily attainable for the SMS.

Wow! I am sooo exicted about this game. I didn't even know it existed until this week because it's on the Ultimate Genesis Collection. I loved Zelda and this looks like a complete rip off! Can't wait to play it!

This is the greatest SEGA game ever.. i like it alot more than Zelda... someone was asking what to do when you have all the nine crystals... i think you have to go to the 7th labyrinth again and then a secret passage vil appear... to the 10th labyrinth is.. there you need to find the golden axe first because it is the only item that can harm Death Adder...

Oh god, this looks... awfull... It's a total rip-off(hell even the STAIRS look copied), you move way too fast, I like the graphics from the original game better(the trees don't look as as if they're made up by a 6 year old kid... that has a mental disorder), and the retarded quotes... Well, there's a trick to defeat the bosses:

when enter the room, dont move, stand in the door, so the boss cant attack you and your weapon can still hit the boss, and the battle will end quite soon.

Even for Death Adder, this trick works.
