  • basically she just explained that Orphan wanted to die from the start and gave up on life. Coccon wont die! If their is no hope they'll find us. She pronounced their Focus!

  • Anyone else prefer the English voice acting?

  • I was going to say that LOL

    Yes I do :D

  • This game is just too cool for its own good... lol

  • i did it a little different. i did hope, lightning and fang. just had first two as ravagers and fang as saboteur. once the boss staggered switched to hope as ravager and lightning and fang being commando, Fight over in like two minutes lol

  • this battle was so easy sometimes I felt that I didnt do anything.

  • Beware interaction and involvement in Collin's life, and Collin's follower's lives -- Karmic wheels created by Collin all percent loyal to Collin. --

  • *ONE EPIC SPEECH THAT I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND LATER!

..... I just jizzed in my pants.....

  • i 'am just arrived at orphan 1 but, i wonder, if they destroy orphan, cocoon will be destroyed ? something i didn't understand

  • i really love the design of orphan, though a would have made a different face for each circle around the center, but it's great anyway, i love the way it's turning too.

  • WTF! Why does Orphan sound normalish inthe Hapanese version, but sounds so weird in english

  • What is he using near the end in stagger when he hits for 99999 think thats right some kind of item?i know he has T3 weps but what about trinkets anyone have an idea?

  • I guess all characters sound cooler in Japanese.

    *Sigh.

  • shin megamin tensei xD

  • Nyah...Go ff7 screeeeewwww 8

  • blond bitch

  • @jjlopez0016 O_o

  • @ritchy29 ahh im sorry i bet you noe exdeath

  • Can someone fucking explain to me, what it is im meant to be after I beat Orphan, I was informed that the game is replayble with the characters you played with on the first playthrough, but how in the fuck am I suppose to do that, i've tried everytthing, the biggest shred of hope i've had on the 2nd playthrough so far, is reloading my completed save, and checking my crystarium , which said it's bene updated, but that doesn't really count as a second playthrough, seeing as i've beaten the story?

  • @Tehgrimreaper Yeah, there's no way to play through the game again w/ your old characters... The only thing you can do once you've beaten the game is go back to Pulse and Eden....that's all. The rest of the game before Pulse would've been to easy anyway. There's plenty to do on Pulse though--plenty of monsters you can't beat right away even if you have completed the game. And I doubt you completed all the side quests the first time through.

  • CAN SOMEONE PLEASE FUCKING EXPLAIN TO ME, HOW IT IS IM SUPPOSE TO PLAYTHROUGH THE GAME AGAIN? I beat orphan like 30 minutes ago, and IM UNDER THE ASSUMPTION you can reload the game and start at the beginning with your same characters, if this isn't the case how the FUCK am I suppose to finish the side quests, the Tonberry Trio is impossible for me at the moment, and it took me 20 minutes to kill both forms of orphan .. :S

  • to tell ya d truth..for me..i prefer the jap version with eng subs..cz in the eng version...any words that come out their mouth doesnt fit on their lip..cz only d audio was changed..not really d animation..I THINK..but i still prefer jap with eng..xD just an anime thing..

  • @Hallucination01 CAN SOMEONE FUCKING EXPLAIN TO ME, IF IM ABLE TO FUCKING START A NEW GAME WITH MY OLDER CHARACTERS OR WHAT? BECAUSE SERIOUSLY, IDK WTF TO DO, I LOADED THE GAME AFTER I BEAT ORPHAN, AND.... IT TOLD ME MY CRYSTARIUM EXPANDED , BUT WTF AM I SUPPOSE TO DO? JUST LEVEL GRIND FOR HOURS AND HOURS UNTIL I CAN BEAT THESE FUCKING TONBERRY TRIOS?

  • @Tehgrimreaper sadly no..u cant use ur current save to play the 2nd play thru.. i thought u could at d 1st time aswell..but no...there loads of others stuff to do in the game than just beat those friggin huge ass turtles..like...upgrading ur main weap to its maximum, doing side quests, getting stuff like genji gloves..which actually will b a big help to b able to kill the turtles..it removes the cap of d damage 99,999 to infinity...ETC ETC =D

  • @Tehgrimreaper Tonberry trios are actually pretty easy ( Titan Trials right?) Just use some deceptisol before making contact. This sets the stagger to 999 percent. A couple of hits and they are all dead.

  • i dont no why i kept killing me in this form i beat its first form easier than its second form????

  • no femnislash?

  • OMG!! Its the Baby face from Bayonetta!!!

  • bahh sucks a lot!!! Zeromus ROCKSSSS

  • I rushed through this game without upgrading anything and finished with a relatively low crystarium, and still I was able to beat the first form on my second try. I have to say they made saboteur a bit overpowered at this point in the game, Barthandelus gave me excellent fights throughout the game, Ophan was fun to fight but after that second battle with Barthandelus I was hoping for a mind-wreckingly hard fight.

  • the final boss is stupidly easy....they pretty much hand the win to you and the doom clock is useless for once lol

  • @HuskyShinobiChouji s supposed to be an easy boss. this is for cinematic purpose. like yu yevon in ff10

  • @redblazerpea that's a excellent example to prove your point, but what do you mean for cinematic purposes? .___.

  • @HuskyShinobiChouji the last real boss is the big one with 3 faces. you can tell by the 'happy' music in the final boss that it was a definate win. there was no way someone can lose against him. like a grand finale to end the game on a positive note.

  • @redblazerpea yes I got that, it's just odd....Final Fantasy having something positive in it....most of the time it's just orphaned main characters (Snow) with dead parents (Lighting and Serah) and people dying (Zack in Crisis Core), or still moarning over someone dying (Cloud over Aerith), something of an ancient evil (Orphan) and of course friggin crystals =_="

  • orphans final form is wankist boss in game

  • Lol just fukin owned him in 1:23

  • wow

  • LMAO His "true" form was a baby faced clock sucka that gets raped in one stagger.

  • Comment removed

  • impressive on first play through.. so the (1st) fight can be zero star'd for this achievment???

  • i guess this battle is suppose to be a "relief battle" from his 1st form

  • @qwerty1234524 Yeah. I think it'd probably be too much if he were just as hard (or harder) than the first form. After all, I think it makes sense...True Orphan isn't a battle machine, he's just a battery lol. The first form is his tough protective shell, and once you get through that, you just kill the soft middle that's causing all the trouble (+epic battle music signaling victory is around the corner) just like Yu Yevon.

  • @Runeless actually he is not causing trouble, the point was not to fight at all cost with it since he makes Cocoon alive, still characters are so uber-naive that Barbaculus made them fight with it, if not Vanille and Fang they would be done for after they beat him :p Anima (Pulse fel'cie) is the one who started all this trouble to begin with. Interesting story line huh? ;]

  • @ShadowriverUB Yeah, I thought it was a great story!! I would agree that Anima set things in motion, but I don't know that Anima was the root problem... it was my understanding that both Barthandelus and Orphan wanted Cocoon to be destroyed so that they could bring back the Maker. Anima had actually given them the Focus to save Cocoon from itself (Barthandelus and Orphan).

  • @ShadowriverUB I guess you could also argue that Anima HAD instructed them to destroy Cocoon, which they did do (by killing Orphan) and didn't do at the same time (by crystallizing it). I'm not sure--is turning into a Cie'th actually under the control of a fal'cie? I feel like it's kinda gray area as to what their Focus was. It could have been to save OR destroy Cocoon. lol, the more I think about it, the more confused I get... >.<

  • @Runeless and some of the reviews of this game said it was "too linear", lol . There's actually a lot into this game.

  • @qwerty1234524 For serious there's a lot, both gameplay-wise and story-wise. I mean, either I missed something or the story is actually pretty ambiguous. I can't figure out whether they fulfilled the focus they were given, or if they completely defied it and created their own "Focus".

  • ZOMG 2:47 = PIKACHU!!!>> xD

  • This motivated me to re-beat this boss about three times before I used the combo Lightning, Vanille, and Hope... awesome, thanks!

  • thanks i finally got it now i used 2 sabs and buffed at least haste with hope and then went all out with 3 ravs which got his chain guage up instantly. stayed with 3 ravs until he staggered at 999% then switched to com com rav to start hitting for 99999 each hit!

  • light, fang, hope is the best of the best

  • whats the name of the song!? this is amazing!!!!

  • Super Star! Just amazing!

  • goddammit i keep getting 3 star

  • kind of resembles ff6 final fight with kefka

  • this helped me alot... thanks =D

  • @Hypestuh its got like 1.5 million lol

  • No it's not in the billions. Nothing even gets close to the billions.

  • @Hypestuh

Actually, you can see he has 3,390,000 Or Three Million Three Hundred and Ninety Thousand HP...

So, not billion. However, more than any other final fantasy boss to date.

  • That's greater than Sepiroth's 400,000 HP limit!

  • Any other Final Boss, that is. Yiazmat, as usual, wins.

  • lol @ using Sazh, hes only good for accurate range shots, i used hope, light, vanille, and str8 up sephiroth'd this boss, was disapointed at how friggin easy he was. 5 star'd the first time, if u cant, then u suck!

  • damm right, i used light, fang and hope and ★★★★★ his ass up the first time

  • This form was a joke. I beat him in like 90 seconds. The real last boss is that first form.

  • The same goes for Yu Yevon. You couldn't even die fighting him.

  • yup i consider the first form the final boss because it had some challenge compared to this one

  • @DarkSorsa

    Oh fuck you

  • this boss fight was the easiest one in the whole game :( . first try with all characters at around 6k hp. finished him in 2nd stagger. haven't farmed any groups for extra cp

  • wow.. this persons characters are twice as strong as mine were. I can't beat him in one stagger, takes at least two for me. I want 5 stars though cause it unlocks lightnings PS3 theme :(

  • wtf it took me until the 2nd stagger to kill that thing and had 2 attackers and a blaster when i started really attacking but i never gave myself haste or any of that other crap now igotta go back and try it again

  • holy shit this boss fight is gonna be harder than i expected

  • eh not really. if you train up a bit. i only just got to gran pulse and i am already hitting (with stagger) 20,000+. and some enemies at the archylte steppe give HEAPS of CP so it won't be too hard...

  • Magical robots don't work the same way normal robots.

  • Hm. I wonder, if SquEnix made the Doom timer last for about 10 minutes and also give Orphan some devastating/hard hitting attacks, incapable of being staggered (you can damage him normally), immune to all debuffs and have a lot of HP, do you think Orphan would pose more of a challenge and be more fun to fight?

  • I 5-starred him too

  • Bloody hell u make that look so easy lol.

  • -Trophy Unlocked- Ha ha ha!

    That was uber ownage. =O

  • I think the hardest boss is Orphan 01. It has the ability to instantly KO party leader = Game Over. The Hovertank in chapter 7 was hard as well.

Just finished the game today, killed him in one Stagger, 01:48. 5-Stars and Superstar trophy.

  • well balander 01 i'm am stuck on

  • yeah i got stuck on that too. i just ran around outside the palamecia and killed everything a bunch of times and then it was easy!

  • one of the more abstract, and hence god-like, final bosses of ff. only got ff13 a couple of days ago but looking forward to facing this mutha.

what is the hardest boss in the game? are there any superbosses and hunts?

  • The missions contain the super bosses; both not that hard though

  • Funny... reminds me of Yu Yevon's final form in Final Fantasy X (I don't know why, I don't see any statue pagodas...) At least this boss doesn't pull the bloody annoying trick of constantly reviving itself, killing you, then bringing you back to life... Ah, I miss good old Sephiroth...

  • i found this boss to be easier than the rest of the FF bosses..

    i dunno.

i beat it in 4 minutes.

  • Well, how much HP did Satanail from SO4 have?

  • I think I found it quite amusing when Lightning didn't want to see humanity being destroyed by Fal'Cie Orphan, I guess... by destroying Orphan is what she refers it by 'humanity's focus' since Sazh, Snow, Lightning & Hope's L'Cie had turned white. Go on, l'cie of humanity...

  • Michael Sinterniklaas voices Orphan in the english one

  • @Clanitz yeah but it has 3,390,000 HP!!!!

  • This graphics are a BESTIALITY.

  • This is probably the final boss of any FF that makes the least sense xD

    A friggin clockwork baby-face sun!

  • it's form is a reference to the Ophanim. A type of angel that are described as looking like flame covered wheels covered in eyes.

  • @ZexionII Lol that's Orphan for ya.

  • @ZexionII Yeah, plus the music doesn't fit much the fight! XD

  • @ZexionII

This against the smiling baby sun from Teletubbies.

  • @ZexionII

Look up the word "Ophan" on wikipedia.

it actually makes perfect sense if you understand the mythology its based upon. "Ophan" is type of biblical angel associated with the symbol of the wheel and the sun (throne of God).

  • @ZexionII Actually, Ophan(without the R) is a celestial being that watches over the throne of God(it's also shaped like a wheel). I can see this being the final boss, with Square wanting the include God and philosophy and crap.

  • 1:48

    dang! 3,390,000 HP!

  • @DerangedManiac12 it's the final boss with the highest HP for a final fantasy game ever... and the final boss in second place had only 400,000 O.o

  • I know! i hope its easy to damage though.

    Otherwise, I'm screwed... XP

  • As Info:

    Second Place = Safer Sephiroth.

I believe of all Monsters though Yiazmat will never be beaten.Meh.

  • ugh i never got up to yiazmat in XII but even if i did i wouldn't have a chance against it.

  • yiazmat is easy you just gotta have a lot of patience when killing it because you will eventually kill it maybe in like 4 hours or so if you dont take a break

  • snow is just badass xD

  • lol, everybody has theirt cool battl eposes before you fight Orphan 2 but Snowe just raises his fist

  • Love his scream XD

  • Lightning's expressions look so real here, especially from 1:03 to 1:07 :)

  • Perhaps Orphan will make another appearance in the other Fabula Novella Crystallis titles? Apparently this game makes a reference to the goddess Etro, who a painting of appears in one of Versus XIII's cutscenes.

  • Creepy smile.

  • that laugh at the beginning is blood-curdling. I love it!!

  • There is.

Mark #51. It's the Pulse version of the L'Cie sword fighter in Orphan's Cradle. He has about 9 million HP.

  • @Stryker246 that thing took FOREVER for me to kill. did it in the first try but it took SO LONG!!!

  • Over 3 million HP?! Wow.

  • How so?

  • Oh. Well, "at," at most. Missed that Crystarium Level Up at the end...

  • By the way, are you at, or above, the final plot-cap during this recording? Because you seem a tad bit overpowered. =P

  • I think you actually *have* to kill him this quickly to even get that trophy.

  • Does anyone know what the title of this Boss song is?

  • I love the "legion" effect in its voice.

  • dang man. I don't even think orphan showed up lol. took him out quickkkkkkk!!!!!

  • Man LL... You like raping final bosses or something?

  • That's what I was thinking xD

  • @MasterLL

so basically after you load up your save file, you can do missions and such right? basically free roam?

  • Video flagged for rape

  • Holy crap, you 5-starred Ophan. Don't care if you did all the sidequests before and whatnot but it's fun to see Ophan get raped. :)

  • Well played from beginning to end, LL! (^_^)

But here's a thought...if the Fal'Cie are machines that protect a crystal, what happens to the crystal when the Fal'Cie dies? Or where is the crystal located? I mean, Orphan is somewhat...small in comparision to Fal'Cie like Anima or Titan.

  • Fal'Cie are powered by the crystals

  • @TearD6 Fal'Cie aren't created to protect a crystal: they are created by the "God" same like humans, and each one has a "destiny". In Cocoon, there are 8 000 000 Fal'Cie(small and big ones). For the crystals, it's L'Cie who complished their destiny who become crystals, and they earn eternity even if the Fal'Cie dies

  • That's...amazing. So then if Fal'Cie have a destiny given to them by the "God," then does that make them sort of the same as L'Cie then? A Focus a L'Cie is given is...empheral at best and it's unknown sometimes what they should do to fulfill it. I wonder if the 'destiny' that a Fal'Cie receives from their God is as murky as an L'Cie's focus?

  • Just adding on:

That could explain why Orphan and Baldanders methods are so extreme...maybe they themselves do ANYTHING they need to do to fulfill their missions? But given that they're Fal'Cie...they can do a lot of damage. But then again, I guess a single human being can do just as much damage? Hmmm....

  • To be direct, Orphan, who normally hasn't got any material body, was created to call back the "God", and for that, he needs to make many humans, and to kill all of them by once, so Baldanders, who works for Orphan, created the Cocoon(he calls it a "factory to make humans") and used Pulse's Fal'Cie to make L'Cie, which mission is to destroy Orphan(because any Cocoon's Fal'Cie can destroy Orphan: they live by him and have to protect the Cocoon)

  • good stuff! But I don't agree that the game put a maximum damage limit. I know it's to keep some of the " challenge " or wtv but it's a stupid feature to me

  • oh, okay thanks. let me know when you have a final score

  • I'm 80 hours when I beat the game.

But keep in mind I take my time (no rushing) and also did a bunch of missions too.

So yea, 40-60 is good estimate for beating the game.. while 90+ to get everything done.

  • after u beat it, does FF13 let u carry your weapons, items, crysilarium, etc. over to a new game?

  • There is no new game+.

After beating it, you can save the game (after the staff credits) and load it.

You will start at the location before the final boss and can go back to Gran Pulse to finish all post-game missions and such.

  • With the boosted Crystalium level?

  • Well, Lv10 Crystarium is unlocked after beating the game.. so I guess you can call it something like that.

  • I LOVE this soundtrack! The music fits perfectly with the battle scenes and it is just incredible!

  • Well, Vayne became "The Undying" and he died anyways.

  • Geez that was quick lol.

  • Its the depiction of an angel by ezekiel in the old testament, the angel is said to consist of many wheels which spin in each other. Basically all these forms depict one part or the other of that angel I think. Google it, its interesting.

  • the final boss is lady gaga! xDD

  • Ophan is male.

  • @lucas141290

    Oh wow...that's hilarious.

  • Should have finished the battle with Limit Break for awesomeness purpose!

  • A giant circle...? I'm very scared...

  • hey LL since you beat this game, what would you rate it out of 10? and borrow or buy game?

  • 7.5 of 10

    Slightly above average.

I'll post more about my opinion after I complete everything first.

  • In the west that score is not very good.

Most people today expect an 8/10 if the game is above average...

  • I'm still playing so that is what I feel so far.. but we'll see after I fully beat the game.

  • is she " Edea " or am i wrong o.0

  • That so called "final boss" is the most pathetic boss in terms of stamina I've ever seen in a while.

  • I wouldn't say so, it was just that LL was raping it hard. If you do subquests, weapon optimize, most final bosses are easy modo.

  • lol They like to talk big. But in the end they end up gettin' pwned.

  • Anyone else think it looks like a mitama from SMT >_>?

  • So fast to be defeated?! and 99999 hit?!

  • Nice to See the Final boss fight to a game ive been waiting for years only takes 2 mins or so............

Either Way Great Job doing what yah Do Masta

  • Are you implying that it wasn't the case for FFX, or 9, or 8, or 7...

  • more or less comparing it to other bosses in other Rpgs ive played recently, P4, Metal Saga Mana khemia 2

  • Typically final bosses are easier than the boss before it. Just look at the first form as the real final boss.

  • There is no overleveling due to cap... and you can't go any higher until which beat the game which unlocks the next cap.

Don't start talking about "overlevel" if you have not played this or don't know all the functions of the abilities and system of this game.

  • sorry, i was just watching your mission videos and figure the cap had been taken off at granpulse so i was sure you had went beyond, simple misconception i apologize for my comment, but i stand by what about final fantasy final bosses are all just pretty easy, anyways great videos LL, i hope to watch you play through more games.

  • I agree most FF final bosses are easy although some require some trick (final boss of FF10 as example).

But aside from that, until you beat the final boss are you fully uncapped which the Lv10 Crystarium have some absurd HP, ATK and MAG bonuses you can learn.

  • If the cap is broken, doesn't it also affect enemies HP and whatnot too?

  • That's pretty sweet! Looking forward to this game:)
