i grew up in the 90s (early teens in early 90s....late teens late 90s...) and this song eludes me, yet I was alone in pursuing my passion which was to listen to music like this - music from artists just like this dude, Mc Eiht - love his voice, sends a shiver down a spine in a good way - the beats to most of his tunes are dope too. Easily the most under appreciated artist in hip hop ever.

This song is another reason why I preferred west coast rap to east coast stuff.

The great thing about CMW was they showed a different side to Westcoast Rap. You have to remember, CMW made this smooth track at a time when NWA, Ice "T", and King "T" made raw in your face hip/hop. CMW truly were innovators and showed a different style, much like Tribe Call Quest did for NY. As well as the Alcoholiks did for the Westcoast.
