Well was on this for 3 HARD weeks very diffult to breath couldnt do a thing but I persisted hoping it would kick in. I ended up taking 3 nebuliser aday and 6 to 18 puffs of ventolin a day just trying to keep from suffocating. I phoned my specialist told him what was happening.. He said to get off it and back on to the Symbicort. Helped after my second dose off the Alvesco. He said it doesnt help everyone but worth a try. Wasnt for me. I hope if you try this it will help you.
On the 5th day of Alvesco. Was really hard breating the first day off Sybicort which I used before this. Yesterday the 4th day was better. But last night had heaps of ventolin as was tight and hard to breath same with this morning. I hope this drug starts to kick in. Will post again on progress.
I know what you all mean it does suck big time! Ive had asthma since I was 3. Im 54 now taking all the crap they give you and still not good. Today Im going to start taking Alvesco 120mg 4 puffs in the morning. Damn high dose. Tempted to take less...Will let you all know how this works. A bit worried about changing meds and not breathing at all you know what I mean Im sure. Post in 3 days times let you know how this works on me.
i hate asthma it feels like you have a ton of brick on your chest and when i inhale the medication i feel nervous ! my hands get shaky I am only 22 and been having asthma since I was born it sucks ppl don't understand
I haven't taken Pulmicort in years, and use my Bricanyl way too often. I was diagnosed with Asthma as a 85% direct result of second hand smoke when i was 5 years old. My mother ignored it, and considered it as a "he will grow out of it" context. More or less refused to accept the fact that i had a medical issue. I had a severe attack when i was 13, obviously not knowing my prior condition until i actually read my Family doctor's medical file when i was 19 considering it was kept so quiet.
