Driving slower is not going to change oil prices.China is growing its economy on oil, as are many other countries. Independence is the answer.The whole economy is built on oil.Alternative sources of energy are good, and it is coming slowly, but that is not going to change many other sources that run off of oil.
N. America is loaded w/ oil.The price of oil affects the price of every product even our food.Unfortunately,the stimulus money didn't go into the infrastructure where it should have gone.
Conserve baby conserve if we didn't raise the speed limit people would not want to buy the fastest 0 to 70 automobile with as much armor around their bodies that Detroit could tack on. We are busted bc we never cranked up that infrastructure Atlanta LA did when fuel prices were up in W admininstration I drove through in a 18wlr did the speed limit all the way through the city rush hour bc the city had MARTA they have options everyone should have options. We need to beef up infrastructure.
Drill baby Drill makes sense now. If they had done this thirty years ago no one in North America would worry about gas prices. The Middle East wouldn't have a monopoly on oil, oil wouldn't be worth as much, and dictators would be a thing of the past.
