I remember the how, not this episode. Amazed about the song, but this must have beebread the fifties. My husband says he listened to the McConnell radio show. My sister just plaed "twanger" in a word game and didn't know what I meant when I said "thump your magic twanger, Froggie". She is eight years younger than I.

No dis-credit to ole Andy Devine, but Smilin' Ed McConnell started this show on the radio in the 1940s, and invented the characters-Midnight, Squeeky & Froggy, and was the first host on the original TV show...sadly Andy is the one who is always remembered even though he only did a few episodes...also, Froggy's voice changed in the later episodes, wasn't nearly as cool.This clip is Froggy's original gravely voice.

I remember watching this as a kid. Froggy used to do all kinds of stuff to this guy. I think I remember him putting dynamite under his feet at least once or maybe giving him a hotfoot. I wish we could find more of these videos to see if my memory has failed me. Wasn't TV great in those days? It was. It was.
