Even if we look at old russian maps or german maps, they always demonstrate a high % of Polish citizens, while LTs were miniority. In 1916 - only 2% of Vlinius were Lithuanians (2909) in 1931 even less - 1579. LT also wanted Grodno where for 60 000 people there was only 4 Lithuanians.
There where 100% of Balts in the year of 1200 in Vilnius region. So Litihuanians (Balts) have all rights to Vilnius region because Slavs (russians or poles) are not Balts. These lands thousand year before was Baltish. All historical facts are in wikipedia - Balts. So poles are only guests and not all poles are true poles.
@EUcitizenLT technically you correct. Poland didn't have historical rights to Vilnius in 1900s but we had demographical and geographical rights. Bit about not all poles are true poles don't make any sense. Allthough, lithuania lost the brain after 1991. People who live in Vilnius and around now, are Lithuanians, they have Polish orgins and they want to write their lastnames in Polish ( normal minority rights) which LT doesn;t accept. Lithuanian language do not have W or other polish grammatical things. And Lithuanian laws and constitution do not allow to write surnames in other languages only in lithuanian language. It was banned in various periods of history by occupants but it survived.

If you don't remember, most of lithuanians books were burn but Russians. The very few which survive were rewritten by Lithuanians. The 110 year ageo ziutek is referring to is the date when the old lithuanian was restored. It was not commonly used by the nobleman and diplomats of Grand Dutchy and as far as I understand was almost forgotten before restoration somewhere in mid-XIX century.

@Mysio That is where you are wrong, if you have ever been to Vilnius or Kaunas, there are plenty of plaques and monuments with Polish writings. One great example is grave of that Samagotnian dude's heart who ruled Poland, Piłsudski and his mother, I think only Polish writing features on the tombstone. There is plenty more similar examples all over Lithuanian.

@EUcitizenLT You are wrong, Poland had demographics and geographical rights to Vilnius, we only didn't have historical rights. Most of the people who lived and still live there are Polish. Even if we look at old russian maps or german maps, they always demonstrate a high % of Polish citizens, while LTs were miniority. In 1916 - only 2% of Vlinius were Lithuanians (2909) in 1931 even less - 1579. LT also wanted Grodno where for 60 000 people there was only 4 Lithuanians.

There where 100% of Balts in the year of 1200 in Vilnius region. So Litihuanians (Balts) have all rights to Vilnius region because Slavs (russians or poles) are not Balts. These lands thousand year before was Baltish. All historical facts are in wikipedia - Balts. So poles are only guests and not all poles are true poles.

Bit about not all poles are true poles don't make any sense. Allthough, lithuania lost the brain after 1991. People who live in Vilnius and around now, are Lithuanians, they have Polish orgins and they want to write their lastnames in Polish ( normal minority rights) which LT doesn;t accept. Lithuanian language do not have W or other polish grammatical things. And Lithuanian laws and constitution do not allow to write surnames in other languages only in lithuanian language. Wikipedia gives that the earliest surviving written Lithuanian text is a translation dating from about 1503–1525 of the Lord's Prayer and that Lithuanian language is Indo-European language, dating back to 400 AD. It was banned in various periods of history by occupants but it survived.

@Wirusiux Excuse me sir, Lithuanian language has it orgins from Old belarusian. In national museum in Krakow there are old Lithuanian books. If you don't remember, most of lithuanians books were burn but Russians. The very few which survive were rewritten by Lithuanians. In Krakow however, the text is orginally written by Lithuanians from 1300 (ruthianian) to 1600. But, you guys don't know ^^ I don't give a fuck about text that was rewritten :)

The 110 year ageo ziutek is referring to is the date when the old lithuanian was restored. It was not commonly used by the nobleman and diplomats of Grand Dutchy and as far as I understand was almost forgotten before restoration somewhere in mid-XIX century.

@Mysio That is where you are wrong, if you have ever been to Vilnius or Kaunas, there are plenty of plaques and monuments with Polish writings. One great example is grave of that Samagotnian dude's heart who ruled Poland, Piłsudski and his mother, I think only Polish writing features on the tombstone. There is plenty more similar examples all over Lithuanian.

For those who blame all the Lithuanians for such activities, I would like to say that you should take this seriously of course, though have in mind that this is not a position of all the nation but a rather stupid expression of Nazi-like thinking by the team of mentally disabled individuals which represent an absolute minority of the citizens. Graudu žiūrėti tokius filmukus, tai atviras lenkų įžeidinėjimas, nereikėtų taip drastiškai elgtis. Manau, kad tokie paprasti dalykai kaip lentelės ant gatvių būtų vietinės bendruomenės sprendimo reikalas, o ne politiniai žaidimai. Jei vietinė bendruomenė pritaria tiem lenkiškams užrašams ant gatvių, tegul būna. Lietuviai Lenkijoje irgi turi tuos užrašus ir niekam netrukdo. Tegul būna taika
