This and island thunder was the only soldier in any game that can peak around corners, this soldier is slower in running but will kick any soldiers ass in any game, drop pop peak on the D pad, god i miss playing on xbox live, i will have to put up more on line play videos that i recorded before xbox shut down
It's hard to enjoy this game. It takes long to get used to the controls and the "slow" gameplay, but once you get the hang of it... In my opinion this is one of the best FPS I've ever played (and I've played from Wolfenstein 3D to Far Cry 2). The Graphics were beautiful for 2001, it has some great atmosphere, they did a really great job in a "representation of the real world". The AI isn't brilliant, I know, but few games got me thinking "OH FUCK OH FUCK" when someone starts shooting.
You know who hates this game? People that are really good at every other shooter out there, but got owned every single time they tried to play this one. So ya, I'm saying it...every single post here that says this game "sucked" is because they got owned and probably by my crew.

A.I really is the some of the best ever created because the devs weren't concerned about peoples lack of skill or how frustrated they might get. They just made them as they saw fit. (I have been killed/saved countless times by A.I) and the shooting is smooth as butter, just needs to be taken slowly. "Slow is smooth, smooth is fast" is an army mantra that sums up the situation perfectly. If you stick with the game you quickly appreciate the lack of gun on your HUD as it allows more space to see.
Yeah, the game is meant to be played slowly, if you practice you can do it quickly and it gives you more of a sense of accomplishment than beating MW2 on Veteran. As for graphics its just a matter of adjustment. I am by no means an old gamer (Im 15) and i too thought the graphics were to bad to enjoy the game. But the fact is everything looks just fine. Your just too used to seeing current games which graphically kick this games ass. You can see the environment just fine as well as your enemies.

@legendarywar1 Replayability. Something Any Call of Duty after Modern Warfare greatly lacks. The campaigns in those are very tuneled and shallow. They definitively dont have much interest after you beat them. Furthermore this isnt a pick up and play game, fortunately, Modern Warfare is.. thats why MW has cheesy pretty graphics.. terrible gameplay all sorts of inbalances and its so damn easy.

@JEFFMM71 Definatly, Ghost Recon was my favorite series right up until they started that futuristic stuff, then it got waayy too complicated and rediculous, i heard they're making a new Ghost Recon soon and that it hasnt been confirmed to follow the Advanced Warfighter theme, maybe we'll get our good ole' Ghost Recon back? I definatly think if they did a 2010 Ghost Recon with tons of hints from the first game and a major detailing to multiplayer and online aspects they could rival Call of Duty

You can still find it at e.g. Amazon or the bargain bin of the local store for a couple of $. Ghost Recon (the original) is even today among the top 10 most played tactical shooters on Xfire and the No. 1 shooter played on GameRanger. It simply is the best tactical shooter ever. =)
@jessehenandez yeah, all the modern games like call of duty and stuff are based in urban because thats where most war is taking place now, but jungle invironments are to me just as fun if not more as long as it isn't a wwii game theres at least 15 already.

The enemies are fairly intelligent.. auctaully appearently you never got past level 1. Need I go on? Dont comment on this video if you dont like the game.. that more then anything else is.. insane

@TheNightFox94 i only commented on this game because i had to do a review on it and i needed some gameplay footage since my fraps recording system isn't working correctly. and yes, i have gotten passed level 1, but it was so dull i dared not go to much further. the enemies aren't intelligence, the game just gives them ridiculously good accuracy to make up for their mental retardation. yes you do die in three hits, im surprised you didn't know that.

@TheNightFox94 really, you can't compare the two games. they're very different, but one is great and the other is bad. ghost recon, in my opinion, is bad. i played this game way before modern warfare and still didn't like it, i come back 10 years later to play it now that its a classic, but it only took me a few minutes to realize that i might as well have popped a piece of shit into my disc drive! if the gameplay were better and weren't boring, it would be okay, but other than that it sucks.

i think itd be awesome if they just like remade this game for 360 like made the graphics and everything more up to date but kept the same format and it played the same way as the original. like think of it as just updating the looks of the game but leaving everything esle the same.

@JEFFMM71 Definatly, Ghost Recon was my favorite series right up until they started that futuristic stuff, then it got waayy too complicated and rediculous, i heard they're making a new Ghost Recon soon and that it hasnt been confirmed to follow the Advanced Warfighter theme, maybe we'll get our good ole' Ghost Recon back? I definatly think if they did a 2010 Ghost Recon with tons of hints from the first game and a major detailing to multiplayer and online aspects they could rival Call of Duty

the best thing about this game is the enviroment afected if the enamy could see you or not. In the tres it made it hard for them to spot u. Out in the open they sometimes saw u b4 u saw them

You can still find it at e.g. Amazon or the bargain bin of the local store for a couple of $. Ghost Recon (the original) is even today among the top 10 most played tactical shooters on Xfire and the No. 1 shooter played on GameRanger. It simply is the best tactical shooter ever. =)

@jessehenandez , true, just noticed your comment, i also like how its more of a stealth game every game now is a run and gun game, which is fun, but i like stealthy to, and its a freeroam, you dont have to go through an exact path to get to your objective like call of duty, you can go through any part of the map or do the objectives backwards, the computers could be smarter though

SMO6 Castle.I owned everyone in my group in various death games.
the SE hous has a lot of enemies in firefight.
When you play multiplayer and single player,
your teams will entertain you with many acts of EXTREME stupidity but specialists are not acting like that as they are highly trained.
