  • Hey Miles! This kit sounds great man and your drumming is awesome too! I'm seriously considering buying a kit just like this....that's how I found this video. I really like them! Especially after hearing how you've got them sounding. Would you be so kind to explain to me how you tune your drums? These sound awesome and I'd like to learn how you do it. If there is not enough room here you can email me at darrellhicks3@comcast.net. Hope to hear from ya! Thanks Miles!

  • just bought this kit...wow you have this thing screaming!! nice drumming!! kit sounds amazing!

  • sounds awesome

  • Nice drumming! How long have u played for?

  • @andrethedrummer1234 I've been playing regularly since 4th grade so roughly 10 years.

  • Hey. I really hope this isn't creepy in any way but I got to Ravenwood and am currently a sophomore. I was on Winter guard last year so I remember you playing the drums after school a lot. You're very talented! My cousin Kevin who lives in Las Vegas is a professional drummer. He has his own channel on here: snareguy17 Check it out sometime. Oh and this is a good kit. Gretsch drums perform very well!

  • That's the kit I have. It's pretty awesome, but I don't have the 7. How is the 7 tom?

  • @zakourmademon I like it, but of the 5 toms, it's the most work. It's always the first one to get out of tune and it has such a narrow tuning range. It sounds good if it's tuned the right way but I have to tweak about every day. Maybe that'll change when the heads set in a little more.

  • I really like the toms!!

  • @streetfast234 They sound incredible. I didn't add any effects or anything and the sound is just from two overhead mics.

  • more bass! :D

  • @cheesifyify Haha. I'm assuming that's sarcasm. The bass is much louder than usual because I tried to mic it the same way I did on the Yamaha bass drum I use in previous videos. However, the Yamaha has muffling and a port hole cut in it and the Gretsch bass drum doesn't have any muffling or a hole in it.

  • Very nice, haha, I just think it's hilarious we got the same kit, but of course mine came first! Ha!

  • There's just something about that Grestch sound that other companies can't duplicate.

  • @DrummerMrJ Absolutely. It's not even a top of the line kit and it sounds like one.

  • woah! this is amazing and it sounds so nice. Im excited for future videos

  • @NUDrumsCo Thanks. I'm very happy with the way they sound.

  • Those toms sound great! I dont see any close mics on the kit is this the sound from the Flp camera alone??

  • @samth3mancgp Thanks. I love the way the Gretsch floor toms sound. I use a 4 mic set up. Kick, Snare and 2 Overheads. You can see my mini mixer in the bottom right of the screen.

  • awesome man!

I hope u will show some more of this video now that u finally have ur awesome gretsch drums ^-^

    keep it up mate :D

  • @Peeko0o Yet again, the first one to comment. Haha. I'm gonna try to fill a little more before I head back to college.

  • youl lucky mofo thats the one i wanted but they were sold out sounds great man
