I love this intro the end bit gives me the chills. My favorite race are the Zuul, althou their all out atack strategy dosen't really fit my play stile. Also really like the Tarkas and the Hivers.

yeah ive played with the morrigi like..once.( i usually play with humies lol)

and they are just a bit slow at the start but once you get trade going on.

@LostAngel88 Because it's one of the most unique 4x games on the market? Because it's not a spam fest like Sins? Because each ship you use is designed by the player? And not just what whether it has energy weapons or shields, but the entire ship is designed by you? Or how each race is unique in ways other than racial bonuses? Or how the techtree is completely random, so you can't rely on the same techs every game? And that constitutes trash? Don't complain about games you don't play.

@LostAngel88 So your judging an entire game based of 10 mins of gameplay? SotS is nothing like Homeworld. You cannot play them the same way. They are completely different genres. To get an accurate representation of SotS you need to play at least one game with each race, and for at least an hour. Homeworld is essentially a stripped down 3D RTS. This is a 4x game. Two completely different playstyles. If you try to play one as the other, of course you'll have a bad experience.

HW is a full blown RTS SOTS is a 4x turn based.

Morrigi are a bit odd, but they are POWERFUL late game. Their destroyers have their command and mission sections reversed, but all their ships look dark and sleek, and they are pretty fast. Plus, they get Combat Drones from the beginning, and as you saw in the video, they can field a huge number of them. Historically they are hellbent on the destruction of the Zuul and their masters, the Suul'ka.

@eltsoldier which pretty much make them the good guys...i love playing them, they have the best ships in my opinion when you consider supirior tech and wonderful balanced firing arcs...they even have a fair chance for nice armor or shields and its rare not getting the most powerful weapons.

a 20 worlds empire with trade maxed can outcompete a larger empire easily, the morris are a race that seems to explode with power after a certain point.

Dreadnaughts and space stations. You can build specific space stations to increase the economy/output/research of a planet.

They can't move but do have some defenses (depends on kind of station, some don't have defenses).
