If you don't know the location and date of the photo, try comparing with a photo that you know the exact date and global coordinates. Hope that helps!
Surely if there where something "wrong" with the orbit of the earth about the sun, say the earth's axis of rotation changed even slightly the effects to life on earth would be catastrophic. We would experience vast changes in climate, in the seasons, even the times and levels of the tides would be drastically altered. (The moon is also moving away from the Earth causing less gravitational pull) For example, What happens if the moon spins at the same rate as the Earth. I live in Australia and a lot of the picture I've seen of the moon from America look a lot more different than they do in Australia. Sure, sometime the moon face is the same.

So silly... you're forgetting one thing: unless your viewpoint is at either one of the rotational poles of the earth, the apparent angle of the moon will seem to change. Standing on the equator facing east at moonrise, the right/western limb of the moon will be "up", and facing the moonset in the west, the left/eastern limb of the moon will be "up", making it seem as iff the moon has spun thru 180 degrees. At the north pole the upper/north limb will always be "up".
I look at the moon all the time, it seems the same, but the orbit is off and it seems even faster when coming into a full moon then before. Sometimes it makes a full round of the northern hemi so you see it twice in the same place in one night.

Something tells me that you don't know your astronomy as well as you think you do. When you see a posted picture of what the moon should look like at a particular time, it's only a representation, and the orientation of the picture is going to be north at the top and south at the bottom. It's the same with other celestial objects. If you orient your camera to the same angle as the one used to show the view, you will see it looks the same. Also you need to work on the condensation problem.
I noticed the MOON WAS HUGE December 18 2011 and going down in the east and to the south at 0800 , Will county Illinois. NASA says the moon looks larger as it goes down. But, they also said it went down in a different area. I have found a few people that have noticed the moon looking HUGE and close early in the day. A friend in Kansas said he saw this months ago. And a neighbor said she saw this a few weeks ago. So? Anyone else see this?

If 2 people photographed the moon, one being at the north pole and the other at the south pole the moon would appear to be turned 180 degrees from each other as the people them selves are upside down to one another.

For those of you thinking our moon does not rotate... it DOES. It is in a locked rotation with Earth known as tidal locking. This makes it to where we always see the same side of the moon. This looks like when the moon is about to go down out of sight on the horizon. The moon does seem to tilt before it goes out of sight beyond the horizon. What you're seeing is common phenomena. The planet Earth is a circular shape, so is the Moon. Therefore so is our atmosphere. Light bends at the edge of the horizon. This is due to particles in our atmosphere. The moon only seems to tilt. Although if you do wanna see something strange look at the constellations.

Don't forget. You aren't standing directly on top of the earth, so the moon won't be perfectly upside right. It depends on your position on the earth! If you were standing on the equator, the moon would look almost perfectly sideways. From the south pole, the moon would look upside down.

The Moon the way it's "supposed to be" assumes it's on the meridian (due south). You're photographing it post meridian. It will look rotated - as will the constellations every night. Orion rises on his back and sets standing up.
The cause is two spherical coordinate systems whose rotational axes are not parallel. One is the celestial sphere rotating around the pole star - the other is the rotational axis of your camera defined by your zenith.
You have no idea what you're talking about - none!

Something that obvious couldn't be covered up, moon is in proper axis. Too many look outwards for it not to be mentioned, perhaps atmospheric pollution distorted the moon... or you held your camera at an angle.

Wouldn't the rotation of the moon be equilviant to the axis of the Earth? (The moon is also moving away from the Earth causing less gravitational pull) For example, What happens if the moon spins at the same rate as the Earth. I live in Australia and a lot of the picture I've seen of the moon from America look a lot more different than they do in Australia. Sure, sometime the moon face is the same.

Remember when NASA shoot a missile into the moon a couple years ago, which the whole thing was very odd, they suddenly announced it only a week or so before, then changed their minds several times in a couple days as to whether they would explode the missile or just ram it, these things are planned well in advance, they don't hymm and haww (especially to the public) and decide these things in the last minute, the whole thing seemed very weird. Maybe they knocked it out of it's orbit.

So silly... you're forgetting one thing: unless your viewpoint is at either one of the rotational poles of the earth, the apparent angle of the moon will seem to change. Standing on the equator facing east at moonrise, the right/western limb of the moon will be "up", and facing the moonset in the west, the left/eastern limb of the moon will be "up", making it seem as iff the moon has spun thru 180 degrees. At the north pole the upper/north limb will always be "up".

I look at the moon all the time, it seems the same, but the orbit is off and it seems even faster when coming into a full moon then before. Sometimes it makes a full round of the northern hemi so you see it twice in the same place in one night.

Something tells me that you don't know your astronomy as well as you think you do. When you see a posted picture of what the moon should look like at a particular time, it's only a representation, and the orientation of the picture is going to be north at the top and south at the bottom. It's the same with other celestial objects. If you orient your camera to the same angle as the one used to show the view, you will see it looks the same. Also you need to work on the condensation problem.

I noticed the MOON WAS HUGE December 18 2011 and going down in the east and to the south at 0800 , Will county Illinois. NASA says the moon looks larger as it goes down. But, they also said it went down in a different area. I have found a few people that have noticed the moon looking HUGE and close early in the day. A friend in Kansas said he saw this months ago. And a neighbor said she saw this a few weeks ago. So? Anyone else see this?

I watched a recent documentary where they were talking about how the moon is supposed to fly away from us at some point (its orbiting farther and farther away supposedly), and it didn't talk about the earthquake that caused the tsunami in southeast Asia at all, and I remember them saying our axis changed, that must have had some kind of effect on this moon theory.

The moon is facing one way when you're in the northern hemisphere and inverted to one's perspective in the southern. If 2 people photographed the moon, one being at the north pole and the other at the south pole the moon would appear to be turned 180 degrees from each other as the people them selves are upside down to one another.

This is completely, 100% normal for the moon's movement from the northern hemisphere's perspective. If you research into it, you see that. The moon will appear tilted at times in the sky. Heck, for those who live exactly on the equator of the Earth, the moon lightedness doesn't shift from right-to-left (north) or left-to-right (south), but rather top-to-bottom and bottom-to-top.
Maybe this all ends up just being evidence that "modern" education really needs to catch up on this stuff.

The moon rotates. Otherwise we would see the other side. It's in what is called 'Tidal Lock'. The moon rotates at the same rate at which it revolves. Apparently one side of the core is heavier than the other. The same side always faces the earth and if it's going around it must rotate to make this possible.

The reason the shadow appears this way is because of the time of year and location on Earth.
For those of you thinking our moon does not rotate... it DOES. It is in a locked rotation with Earth known as tidal locking. This makes it to where we always see the same side of the moon. It is not as uncommon as people would like you to think. Pluto and Charon are tidally locked as well. This is all science. Do your research.

The moon moves in an arc across the sky. At its apex, the lunar terminator(shadow) appears vertical from the point of view of an observer. When setting as in this video, the moon has changed position only from your perspective. You don't need supernatural explanations for natural phenomenon. Instead of jumping to absurd conclusions, try picking up a book, googling, or some other way of learning about what you don't understand.

moon is waxing, that leading edge will be pointing in the direction of the moon's travel. Someone a few timezones west of you observing the moon at Lunar noon would see a moon perpendicular to the ground, and someone west of them watching the moon rise would see it tilted the opposite direction.

I'm short on technical terms, so I'll try and explain myself as much as possible.
See the map at 2:52? See where it says "E (on moon)" on the right-hand side? That's the leading edge of the moon. That bit always goes first as the moon travels across the sky. When the moon is at it's highest point - let's call it Lunar noon - that part of the moon should be perpendicular to the ground, like your ideal model.

This looks like when the moon is about to go down out of sight on the horizon. The moon does seem to tilt before it goes out of sight beyond the horizon. What you're seeing is common phenomena. The planet Earth is a circular shape, so is the Moon. Therefore so is our atmosphere. Light bends at the edge of the horizon. This is due to particles in our atmosphere. The moon only seems to tilt. Although if you do wanna see something strange look at the constellations.

Don't forget. You aren't standing directly on top of the earth, so the moon won't be perfectly upside right. It depends on your position on the earth! If you were standing on the equator, the moon would look almost perfectly sideways. From the south pole, the moon would look upside down.

And the FAA has confirmed that our magnetic North Pole is shifting fully 40 miles per year now. That should be enough to through us out of wack. Add to that, that a rather large asteroid passed within the moon's orbit around the earth this year. And I would say, that would throw things off kilter, just a smidge...
