  • the way this song goes could just about to pas asa james bond song

  • i love this movie and this is such a great song!!!

  • Ethel Ennis is the real deal, she is what singers should aspire to.

  • I would love to see this movie again, but I don't know why youtube keep removing it.

  • I wish they wouldn't do that. I hate them for that.

  • You know, Shirley Bassy was chosen to sing many of the themes for the James Bond films in the 1960's , but Miss Ennis could have easily filled her shoes and exceeded those performances.

  • It always takes me a while to get back to you: I am also a fan of Shirley Bassy. She ha[d][s] such a powerful voice and I love the stuff she did during the sixties. As for a comparison . . . I would rate them both the same as far a vocal ability --- on a scale of 1 to 10 --- a 10+. Shirley has the power, but Ethel has the melody and jazzy delivery. Doubtless she could have easily done those James Bond films --- but I think the interpretations would have been different. Have a nice Xmas.

  • Is there any way to get this song on CD?

  • Jeeeeeeeebus! What a dynamite voice! Don't make em like that nowadays!

  • Bear in mind . . . she did this song

circa - 1967 [ she was still quite young

at the time] . . . she's still singing, but

    her voice has changed.

  • she's 76 years old!she will be 77 november 28th!!

  • Wow!

  • You can say that again.

  • She's in her 70's now . . . naturally

her voice has changed with age.

  • Saw this when first released and loved it. Still do! What an incredible theme song by Ethel Ennis!!!! The remake, like most remakes, will NEVER be as much fun!

  • Ethel Ennis is playing out on october 16th (friday) 2009 at a venue called the creative alliance.

  • what a wonderful song, singer, and movie!

    thank you for uploading

  • I love her voice!! This whole movie is way cool!

  • I HAVE THIS WHOLE SOUNDTRACK

  • she sound so smooth!what a great song!

  • GREAT SONG--GREAT VOICE!

  • How about no remake - just a crisp restoration of this original gem on dvd and let's make some our own original movies?

  • Amen . . . it seems everyone wants to

re-make the old classics. The people

that created these, were creative people ---

I say, we should learn how to be as creative

as they were . . . not stand on their shoulders and duplicate what they did.

  • awesome, awesome post. so true man.

  • I saw this movie as a kid.. This movie is perfect for a CGI re working and keeping the all the elements of the story. The song could be sung by Amy Winehouse This singer is right up there with Nina Simone, Shirly Bassey...

  • I disagree . . . you'd need a jazz singer

of Sarah Vaughan, Ella Fitzgerald, Carmen

McRae, Nancy Wilson, Ethel Ennis type . . . and whoever produced it probably [sadly] wouldn't do it in a jazz style --- personally, I hope it's never redone. The original Rankin-Bass Production is a 'Mona Lisa' in and of itself.

  • The invisible man rocks in this movie The food in this movie doesn't look that bad

  • Yes, he's actually an imitation of

    Sidney Greenstreet [Maltese Falcon].

  • Incredible. Wish this song was available on iTunes. Ah well, guess I'll have to look for the CD on ebay.

  • I HAVE THE WHOLE CD!

  • was there ever a souund track released?anything on cd now?

  • I believe so . . . ofcourse the movie is

now on DVD --- so you can probably lift

    the songs from there.

  • Anyone got "And The Moon Was Yellow" By Ethel Ennis? Also fantastic.

Plus I can't find "Please Mr.Jailer" by Winona Carr.....

  • I love MAD MONSTER PARTY and this great title song by Ethel Ennis! I remember having so much fun watching the movie Christmas night as the second feature on CHILLER THEATER(hosted by Chilly Billy Cardille)in 1971! The first feature was SANTA CLAUS CONQUERS THE MARTIANS. Excellent clip!

  • Love this singer! And a great score and comedy vocal talent.

  • Wonderful theme song - I love this movie, but the music outshines it by far, and this opening song sets a great tone for what's to come - "The Mummy" "It's Our Time to Shine" "Never Was a Love Like Mine" "Stay One Step Ahead." I'm getting the soundtrack DVD for my boyfriend for Christmas. Can't wait!

  • you know the songs by heart? lol I do, have the DVD, VHS, Soundtrack, and so on! lol I'm a freek for this movie. Have been for 23 years, my whole life! lol!

  • You're too much . . . but if you like the

movie as much as you say you do . . .

    bless your heart.

  • for real! lol usualy when someone says "bless your heart" That means theres something wrong with me..lol

  • Can you say one of the very best movie songs in history?

  • "one of the very best movie songs in history!" lol I agree!
