  • I am an Indian Youth. Unless INDIANS become ASHAMED of themselves first, we cannot get rid of the corruption .. small things matter like bribing a cop, breaking red light, using contacts .. its sad .. but slowly and surely we HAVE to get rid of it .. somehow .. GOOD LEADERS to elect .., today i just cant vote for ANY leader as none is honest and non corrupt..Let people with proper degree in politics stand for elections. Or put IIT and IIM people there..WORLD POWER IN 5 YEARS THEN UNCHALLENGED.

Unless INDIANS become ASHAMED of themselves first, we cannot get rid of the corruption .. small things matter like bribing a cop, breaking red light, using contacts .. its sad .. but slowly and surely we HAVE to get rid of it .. somehow .. GOOD LEADERS to elect .. thats a fucking HUGE issue, today i just cant vote for ANY leader who is honest and non corrupt .. this is fking crazy.

  • INDIA STILL HAS

    65% LITERACY RATE

    30% BELOW POVERTY LINE PEOPLE

    70TH CORRUPT NATION RANK

    MALNUTRITION

    INFANT MORTALITY

    FEMALE FOETICIDE

    TERRORISM

    WORST ADMINISTRATION

IT IS RESPONSIBILITY OF EVERY PERSON TO IMPROVE ITS NATION, WHO COMPLAINS ABOUT IT.INDIA IS STILL A VERY BACKWARD COUNTRY.I AM ASHAMED BUT ATLEAST TRYING TO IMPROVE !!

  • @bnm088 before you are ASHAMED.. how many times have YOU bribed a cop ? broken red light ? crossed without zebra crossing ? used your "pehechaan" or contacts to get out of a fair situation where you should have paid some fine ? .. just curious ... because i have done these things and i am ASHAMED of it.

  • @DaSnipy I have Never been into all these things at all and YOU ARE COMPLAINING ABOUT THE SAME THAT YOU DID NOW !! JUST AGGRESSION!!

  • India is truly a great nation, all indians should be proud of their roots. Even though we have many flaws, some are still taking a stance to develop the country, we have come very far, very fast since 1947. Given the time it took other countries, in years to come, India will be grown of a great free enterprise and capitalistic economy strengthened by it's traditions and culture.

  • i watch this movie every time .....and i miss my country and my friends and my family .....this movie has a soul

  • Mesmerizing...just mesmerizing

  • I've spent more than 19 years of my life outside India. Initially, it was exciting but gradually, with time, my memories of India made me realize what I was missing.

Now, I'm living my dream. There is nothing more satisfying than working your motherland. I suggest to everyone... live for some years outside India and explore the rest of the world... it will only help you appreciate India much more.

  • I love this song but I don't understand the intention of this song at all. I am NRI but why should I go back to the already very populated India! I mean if anything Indian people should travel outside India, work hard and send white money into India. Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks.

  • @jd123131 yeah ... plz dont come back ... we have problems accommodating Non Reliable Indians .. oh yeah .. you need to send white money coz when you would get kicked out from thr , you need to buy cheaper property here ...

  • @jd123131 No, the indian economy is very strong, it's the infrastructure which is the problem. The systems through which india works is the problem. And solutions are not easy to find, but we all can help in one way or another. As far as population goes, india is not the only overly populated country, many countrys in africa, and asia are 5 times smaller than india and their population to size ration is pretty much the same as india but they are prospering. We need to help develop.

  • I was born and raised in California; however, this song still has the ability to send goosebumps all over my body. It's truly touching, and although I'm American for being born here, I'll never forget my roots - my home country - the country that raised such amazing parents: India. I cannot wait to go back next summer!

  • Brilliant...Don't ask why in the road has come a fork with two ways ? You must show the way! A strong message to all the globalized citizens of India..

  • Brilliant subtitle..

  • This film shud get an oscar...its touching!!!!!!!!

  • good

  • 'Im not indian but this song, this movie, always reminds me of my homeland and fills my heart with love for it....and reminds me of where should I really be and what should I be doing....yes it calls for me...................

  • The dialogue in the end..awesome..:)

  • Song for Indian Overseasssssssssss

  • Your motherland will always calls you, whether you are on its soil or not

  • Your motherland calls you, whether you are on its sand or not

  • Can I know the film name??

  • @shadyguy3

    swades (2004)

  • AR Rahman should have gotten an oscar for this song instead!!

  • its just great so heart touching....sometimes I try to feel this song closing my eyes & thinking my own life......

  • One of best movie i seen in my life, and a song, sharukh face expression is heart touching....in ths song

  • Tu kaise bhulayega? Rehman how can i forgot this song...rehman's voice made this song 100 percent perfect

  • the english subtitles do not do any justice to the song... it's heart-wrenchingly beautiful, loved this movie, and loved this song!

  • The BEST one from AR till date

  • Everytime i listen this song..It makes me cry...love this song from bottom o my heart,,,m away from my country and missing it like anything...

Mitti ki hai jo hai khusboo,,tu kaise bhulayenga....tu chahe beh jaye,,,tu lot k aayenga....love it...

  • what a movie what a song and what a acting by srk hats off to him for this movie and chkde india 2

  • every asian/eastern country has a special spirit and message, the westerners are trying to delete this, they dont have anything, all they can do is working, working, working...and someday(or even never) they will wake up like SRK and know that they have wasted their lives and that they are lone people. Who cares about money?

  • @Kareena1988 u r absolutely right in what u r saying. " Work work work" other than that nonsense fun that they have is not even equal to 1 % of what people in East have!

  • @tinutoffy

well, the western culture is shifting to Bollywood though:

Saif Ali Khan promotes the Illuminati agenda, I didnt even know his father was a freemason. Theres a reason why Bollywood is becoming more and more nude, perverse and basically not good for families. They already started representing the Hollywood-style, watch Dostana, its bad enough to see homosexuality but the girls are also very nude.Jism, Murder, such films are sooo evil..the culture is taken away from us.

  • @tinutoffy

btw: in every film theres the topic about "work" in America, example: in "Kyon Ho gaya naa", when Amitabh ask Sunil Shetty what he did in the US, he answers: America is only kam kam kam(work).

    It is the truth.

  • @Kareena1988 agreed

  • this song is great because of rahman's music and SRK's acting! HOWEVER, the message through this song is not applicable at all! Anyone who has been abroad knows that they get treated like shit when they get back and they cant put up with the corruption!! My take: Stay abroad if you are happy and give back to your country (not the government!!!!) fuck the indian government!! they are all corrupt motherfuckers!

  • I FEEL PROUD ON MY COUNTRY I M AN ELECTRONIC ENGINEER

I REALY WANA DO SOMETHING FOR MY COUNTRY

    INDIA

    ILOVE YOU

  • I am studying in one of the most prestigious B-Schools of the world, let me tell you two facts , the largest group of students is from India and most of them are heading back post studies ... there are enough instances where Indians have left jobs at Ibanks and Consulting firms to start businesses in India, my last boss was from LBS and he had also returned after working for 10 years in London to set up business in Delhi :-)

  • God, do I love this song. I think defines my life atm.

  • to all indians.....guys we have a duty to make our country better for us and all those still living in india.....we are the sons of India and we have to help India progress....

oh and those who want to watch other inspirational videos....

Watch Nusli Wadia's interview on youtube....worth watching

  • @k789saver Well the world has changed buddy....over the last 5 yrs, every leaving India has definite plans of coming back....Green card, US days are gone...

  • @k789saver brother your words are eternally valuable. I encourage my fellow sisters and brothers living outside and with-in India to do their duty towards that which makes their core. Satisfy the needs of your core and your journey is destined to be harmonious.

    yearning for India !

  • Wish every Indian watch this and understand the the duty of giving back to our country for what we have got from her. Instead of blaming what we did not get, let us ask ourselves what all have we got from this country, Jai Hind

    VS

  • A great movie .. very sensitive and realistic! this movie is truly patriotic because it doesnt blindly shout out "humara desh mahaan" or indulge in neighbouring countries bashing.!! However i pray that this is not limited to the movie .. its telling us something .. lets learn frm it .. lets all do something for our country in any and every little way possible .. Comon guys we owe it to

  • Absolutely!!! Although I myself am not Indian I found an abundance of socially relevant issues in the movie "Swades" as well as Ashutosh Gowariker's previous masterpiece "Lagaan" : Poverty, caste discrimination, etc. Let's follow Gandhiji's advice and be the change we want to see!!!!

  • I feel the same !!!!!!!

I feel really a call from another dimension , great nostalgia but joyful sensations in the same time !

    Grazie :-)))

  • mine too :-( it makes me feel i should contribute something...one day I shall...!

  • i m pakistani but i think both country have the same problems so i love this song for all those peoples which working in abroad come back and work for ur own country.

  • agree with u cent per cent irfan

  • Ye agreed!!!!!! Im pakistani too I feel the same, great song I get a lump in my throat listening to this

  • @irfanbutt2002

I am disagree with you we do not have same problem in India as in Pakistan. India is Neighbor is not the problem for Pakisatan, but its a biggest problem for us that Pakisan is our neighbor. In Pakistan people dont know when the will step out of their home will be back or not but its not for us. Thts why its not fair to say that we share problems.

  • @ntuashi hi, pakistan is not problem for the india. india is the big problem for pakistan, check that stoped water of pakistan, i think this simple example for u.and if u say that the terrorist problem so that is the international problem which is created bye the america and if we solve the kashmir dispute so urdu main kahtay hain hamaray dono countries peoples k waray nayaaray ho jain gay, love u bye

  • @irfanbutt2002 forget about Kashmir... I'll give whole of India... but you will have to give me whole of Pakistan... lets become one subcontinent.... :)

  • i luv this song

  • i added english subtitles myself to this song and uploaded. i shud have checked that one with english subtitles already exists.i am taking my one off. cheers.
