  • i would sit and hold your hand anyday beckie <3

  • I know this is old but this made me cry, but your a strong person and I am sure you will at some point get the problem sorted. However I think you look beautiful with long and short hair :) x

  • youd get more attention keeping ur long hair

  • i am really short so everyone looks down to the top of my head

    and i have trich

    it suxx

  • i pray for you every night that your hair dissorder thingy goes away. I honestly do <3 xxx

  • If you keep pulling will your hair eventually stop growing?

  • Your hair must grow reeaally quickly.

  • And to Beckie- You have just come so far, and you are such a good influence on people! Thank you so much for posting all these videos; you have helped me through the "journey" of trich a ton! Thank you!!

  • Hi Rebeccabrown92, I know EXACTLY how you feel. I'm 23yrs old, and have had Trichotillomania for just over 20 years.

I live in the UK, if you ever need someone to talk to - please inbox me, I'm always willing to support fellow trich-sufferers. I'm also about to start some experimental things which will hopefully reduce hair pulling - if they work, I'll let you know. Good Luck, I know it's a constant battle, and it's sooooo frustrating. But, keep trying. You can do it!!!

  • you are SO brave. I hate when I look in the mirror in the morning and my eyebrows are gone, or my eyelashes. Or when I look at the back of my hair and there's a patch.

  • Mine is getting worse to. Arghh!

  • I have Trichotillomania. My eyebrows and eyelashes and sometimes my head hair.

  • i ended up doing a similar thing back in 2008, mines more OCD related more than trich, i think, i kept cutting myhair myself as i was too embarrased to go the hairdresser as it was badly damaged by hair dye& just me messing with it cuttin it shorter n shorter and it never being 'level' so in the end i just shaved it off to a grade 3 or 4, then wore wigs a lot til i had significant growth. I have a form of trich but mine effects me mostly with my eyelashes n eyebrows. Thankyou for your videos x

  • @miffykitty666 id also like to just state im aware trich is a form ocd but when i mention i think mine is more just ocd..cos i dont actually pull the hair on my scalp out. i just get obsessed with the length of it and it having to be level n then tryin to cut it myself and it never gettin level (in my head) so it ends up shorter and shorter. I've managed to not do this since gettin it done at the hairdressers and leaving it alone..somehow!

  • @LovepeaceOx Beckie has a disorder called trich, whereby she pulls her hair out. Not because she likes it, or because wants attention. I know, because I do the exact same thing but with my eyelashes. We can't help it. So shut up. Big deal that you have 'nice long hair'. So do I. So did Beckie. But because she got so fed up with her trich she cut her hair short to try and cure herself. Now stop being such a self-absorbed bitch. If you don't want to hear about Beckie's hair, don't watch the video.

  • @LovepeaceOx Shut up you self centered idiot.

  • @LovepeaceOx no one asked u, if u dont like the video why do u watch it. IDIOT

  • @LovepeaceOx Your name leaves A LOT to be desired.

  • @LovepeaceOx wat the fruck asshoole. you need to fucking gtf. and shit on your self. go eat your damn pussy

  • @LovepeaceOx Why don't you just leave her alone? YOU're not the one going through this, I'm about to get my head shaved, not because I have Trich but for people whop do, and who have cancer/alopecia. Who cares if YOU have long hair. I bet it's horrible, like you.

  • @LovepeaceOx Umm I have Trich and this offends me. Don't be rude.

  • I wish I could be the one to hold your hand. My heart breaks for you. :(

  • Beckie :( cheer up darling, you're more of a woman with those patches than any I've ever met who take their hair for granted. I've found that flat irons are a great way to get stubborn hair to fall where you want it to :)

  • Beckie, you have an orb at just after 35,

GOD is behind you literally :)

  • This video is now completely out of date. I lost all my hair and finally decided to shave it all off on the 3rd of February 2011.

  • omg you have an E.V.A toy in the back

  • Cant say much that might help, but one thing i can say is that your never alone with it, and i think its clear that if you ever needed that person, someone to sit beside ya and help you, you would never need to ask twice,

    So take care

  • I am sorry Beckie. I am sorry. Things can get better. I know you don't like seeing therapists because it gets worse while you work through things. But it seems like even if you refuse to deal with "deeper issues" your trich will worsen. So why not bite the bullet and battle through a good year or two of therapy, with severe trich, rather than lifelong trich without trying to get through the "deeper issues". I love you. I believe in you.

  • I just watched your video and it is heartbreaking. I find you to be so inspiring with your endeavours and I think that if someone like you struggles with your Trich so badly then what hope is there for me. I also think that compared to yours my Trich is less severe as I have never pulled to the extent that I cannot hide it.

  • I just realised that as I've been typing away that I am wearing the most ridiculous truckers cap that I put on this morning because it is all I can do bar shaving that will give some relief from pulling. I plan to shave off the rest later in the year when I move to the UK. I have been following your videos since I found your first Trich video some years ago. This is my first post. Much love, from Katherine.

  • Unfortunatley I don't think there is any cure for trich. Sure ive had a few months when all my hair has fully grown back but then... You can contol it to some extent but ive never felt at ease ive always had that erge even when im fighting as hard as I can against it. All you have to do is remember that it doesn't define who you are. And you have family and friends who love you for who you are. Maybe growing your hair longer might help hide some bald patches it really helps for me:-)

  • I hope you don't mind if I ignored your ""ignore".... this was posted on my birthday, so I thought I'd take the liberty to watch anyway. Besides, though I don't have Trich, and cannot know what torments you feel, I am not without "issues". Just know, Miss Beckie Brown, I do empathise with you. I hurt when I see the pain in your eyes ( at 2:09 ) .... just know that many people care about you ~ and you can count me among them, "Essex girl" Xx

  • This video is completely out of date.

I'm now missing half my hair at the front... I have an extended forehead.

I hate things like this - they go out of date so fast....

  • *SpecialHugs*

If you ever want to talk about anything i am always on youtube so you could message me. I don't have trich but i am going through difficult time with depression at the moment. Hugs normally help so i am sending you an extra special one :D

Wishing you all the luck in the world x

  • Goodness me, I really do feel for you right now, It must be such a difficult time for you right now.

Sending Big hugs to you right now.

  • Have you considered maybe dying your hair a lighter shade of blonde, it may be less noticeable, i know that the spots would burn a bit, but the result would be a good thing for you, I believe! If it makes you feel any better, I am struggling ALOT with my own Trich right now as well! I pray for you every night ! Hang in there darlin!

  • If you fly me out to england i'll hold your hand :D

  • Oh beckie, *hugs*

Im on skype if you ever want a chat and you know i dont live too far away, if you ever wanted to meet somewhere just for a hug <3

  • i think you should shave it, it would make you a lot more free and happier.

  • i don't have trich so i don't know what its like, but i couldnt go thorugh what you go through, i think you're amazing beckie.

  • Staying in my mom's room is my technique.. I don't pull when she's around.

Pray and I will pray for you as well. That's the least I could do. We're going to win this battle. :)

  • Have you tried a wig? It helps me reduce my pulling and also covers it up so I feel more confident. I'd really recommend it for those who haven't tried it. :)

  • i know i look at the damage i have caused in the mirror and long for the days when my hair was thick and healthy. in that moment i feel so sane and logical and tell myself that enough is enough...i AM never pulling another hair out. it's time to be patient and look forward to the regrowth...how wonderful and positive! them i get distracted, or numbed out doing something and the next thing i know i have a pile of hair in the couch beside me.

you're not going through this alone. * big hug*

  • I know to an extent what you're going through Beckie, and I really wish I could help. Just know you've got so many people supporting you and wanting you to be the best you can be, despite the situation. People love you for who you are, not what your hair looks like so as much as we want you to stop pulling we're not going to think different of you if you can't.

Stay strong and whenever you feel like you're going to pull (I know it can be subconsciously sometimes) try and distract yourself.

  • well you'v got lots or internet support, hang in there Numpty :I

  • Beckie you are a great person. The way you look will not change that. I wish I had an answer like so manny of your followers wished they had. All I can say is that we stand by you and are with you in thoughts.

  • The same thing happened to me about a month ago, i've got a huge patch on the same side as you. im not sure what to say to help tho....im really bad at comforting...

  • you're beautiful :) stay strong.

    xx

  • I know how you feel and I wish we could hold eachother's hands right now

  • Have you tried changing your way of thinking about pulling? It might help you

  • this might sound creepy but it's definitely not meant to be....i've always wished that i could live in the uk and if i ever visit i would want to meet you. but if i did live in the uk i would sit by you and hold your hand to keep you from pulling! so just know that you have a friend in the us over the pond praying for you! :D

  • I think a lot of us would love to be with you and hold your hands to help you stop. But, sadly, we can't. :(

  • Beckie; I would sit next to you forever if it meant I could help...

Sadly, I live near Portsmouth and I don't suppose you come near here any time soon.

  • love you beckie :) you are awesome and stay strong! x

    *internet hug*

  • We love you Beckie, chin up beautiful. x

  • Last vlog you said you are diagnosed with depression, you said that a lot of crap happened in 2010 and I'm sure it's still somewhat bad. You need positive enforcement... Not negative, I think negative just strengthens your urge to pull more. Like the OMG YOU WILL GO BALD BECKIE STOP! No... you know it and I'm sure it stresses you more to the point of pulling more. NO you need positive! Thumbs up if you agree this may be a possible way to help this poor girl

  • stay strong beckie! x we are all behind you, you inspirational young woman! :D

  • Love you loads Beckie!

Always around on Skype or even text if you want to chat, <3.

    Stay strong, you're beautiful! xxxx

  • I'd like to say something like 'you'll be fine' but I think that will just annoy you, so yeah.

I would hug you if I could.

  • Beckie, I wish I knew you in real life. I really do.

Your beautiful and I would come and sit next to you and hold your hand through everything. You have hundreds (if not thousands) of people who love you just on youtube. We all care so much about you and know you will get through this. Keep strong Beckie, We all love you <3 <3 <3 xxxx

  • There's not a lot I can say without repeating those who have already commented. But I will say that I know you're strong and I believe you can over come this naturally and in your own time. We all love you and we always will. You're beautiful no matter how much hair you have. You could swell up, shrink down, be bald or have dreadlocks and you would still be as beautiful as ever.

Don't give up on yourself, because we'll never give up on you <3 <3

  • If only I could hold your hand right now - I would.

But as I always say, you still look as beautiful as ever. And I mean that!

Keep strong Beckie, we love you!!! xxx

  • I wanted to cry after you said you need someone next to you to help you. I know this won't help but.. You're one of the best persons I've ever seen in my life. No matter what's wrong with your hair, you're beautiful! You're special and there's no one like you! Be yourself, be strong and you must know that we are here for you! <3

  • we love you. stay strong.

  • Much love Beckie!<3

    You're beautiful inside and out,

without hair or with hair :')

    xxxx

  • I wish I was there to hold your hand Becki : (

Hope everything gets a little better for you soon x
