  • either this is good editing or this guy had a lot of kids

  • I look at videos like this, then I am inspired to try it myself...... But I flop miserably

  • please please post a tutorial

  • can any 1 post tutorial 4 dis.....

  • hey u r having tutorial 4 dis??????

  • excuse me can any 1 say tat dis s which software???

i m finding lyk dis software i made 3 videos, normal cloning effect...

but i want 2 do wid advance sooo i want overlapping cloning software....

  • @KG007MCTHOUFU I used Adobe After Effects.

  • @nuclearspike : dis itself software name or any

    other software s ther????

  • thnx....

  • I agree.

  • That's kind of scary

  • Nice vid! Check my clone vids out if you want. I use the suposed advanced method that allows me to interact with objects through diferent time frames. Just please check it out xD It would help alot, thanks!!! ;)

  • /watch?v=f5io2EPIcJg clones, short video

  • hahahahaha nice job

  • cute :P

  • aahhhhhhhhhh!!!! esta genial!!!!!

  • Great work, did it take long time? I will try to look how you did it?! =P

  • How did you make them go over each other?

  • @ehex5 Check out some of my other responses, I explain it.

  • Those the one walking around..was just a repeated clone =D~

  • clever! Great job

  • y tienes tutorial sobre como hacer esto?

    excelente videoooo!

  • wow nice that must of taken forever!!

  • indeed!

  • pretty good.

  • uhhhhh how do you do this

  • animated masks.

  • Err, wasn't it insane to do mask when your doing it over a person!?

  • @TheRealDealArt Yeah, during the periods of crossover I made the mask tight and a lot of key frames, letting AE do the tweening, then went back and cleaned up frame by frame. After she got past the part where she was overlapping I pulled the mask back. But, I just made that mask of her walking through it's own comp and added that back in multiple times. I figured since I went through all that work I was going to get the most out of it by sending her through 7 times. :)

  • Thats incredible! Genius!

Thats pretty amazing. I might be able to pull it off. But I'm wondering what keep making you doing this, see if aproject like this took me a week I'd stopo on the third day.

  • how do you overlap them please tell me how?

  • read through the previous comments, this has been asked by others. It takes a lot of patience to do it.

  • how do you make them overlap each other plz tell!

  • I used "masking" which I explain in previous posts and other videos of mine show it off more (check out my Triplet Cloning video)

  • wow..! this must be very hard!! awsome!!! how long did u made it? 5 stars!!!

  • It took 3 nights after work to edit it all together. For the clone that walks across many times, I edited that once, set it as a composition and then added that to the final so that if i noticed one thing off with it, all the other versions would be automatically updated.

  • wow 3 nights! well awsome man! well done!! :D

  • Thanks! I really like how it turned out.

  • don't let your wife see this or else she's gonna think you want more kids lol

  • Check out "Snow Clones Featuring Casey Wrightsman" they have some godly editing

  • good call, he's got some crazy edits in there.

  • WOW, How do you do this, plz help, I been trying to figure out how to do this....

  • I checked out your clone video and it looks like you're pretty close to being able to do it. You set yours up with very large masks that don't move. You just need to enable the mask animation so that you can set key frames for the points of the mask.

Check out my "Triplet Cloning" video, the second half I have a break down showing what my masks were and how they animate.

    watch?v=V3oFvLS7g7k

  • That was pretty cool. Nice work.

  • Thanks!

  • That was very very well done.. Have you tried applying a little fast blur efect to the girls passing behind the one closer to the camera? Maybe it would give a depth of field to the scene and make it look better.

  • An interesting idea. The camera I was using was a cheap $200 camera that has a very shallow DOF. I also have an XL2 that I didn't take with me on this trip. A fast blur could help but I'd prefer to not fake the DOF and use a higher-end camera/lens and lock the exposure and focus first. Your comment did make me think about doing a motion blur since the masks during the cross-overs get really close to her outline and the video source probably has some bleed out due to how cheap that camera is.

  • thanks for replying...........i have two doubts......

1.Can we do the same 10(or less) overlapping clones in sony vegas?

2.Can we do two clones to shake hands in sony vegas?

  • I have never used Sony Vegas but from my google searches it looks like it can do animated masks (which my google search , then you can overlap clones. Getting a handshake will be a little tricky. I would try to do it where in the first video you record yourself shaking hands with one of your friends. Then record your second self standing exactly where your friend stood (possibly a little closer but not farther away from where you had been). Then mask out your friend but keep their arm.

  • Have your friend shake with the hand that is farthest from the camera so that when you mask yourself on top of them their arm will come out from behind your masked self. Hopefully this makes sense.

  • how did you overlap clones .......??

  • It's done with masking in After Effects, then I animated the mask and set it to follow right along her edge. Essentially it comes down to cutting the background out of every frame and exposing the the background of the frame (with another one of her) underneath. My "Triplet Cloning" video gives some clues as to how I do it, although that video uses very large masks, but it's the same idea.

  • WOW! I knew you were a GENIUS jack of all trades always ahead of his time, but you have certainly taken this to the next level, now with film! THIS IS WAAAY COOOL! I love you Fuzzy Bear! Thanks for sharing! I may be contacting you soon!

  • I could have fun with this effect... but right noe I use Pinnacle studio and I don't have AfterEffects.

  • I did a google search for "pinnacle studio masking" and it looks like it supports what you need to be able to do cloning, to have moving clones it'll need to support animating masks but I think you may be able to.

  • do you have a tutorial for this?

  • I don't yet. It is on my list of tutorials to make though. Thanks for asking and subscribing!

  • Nice! I hope you didn't break your clicky finger while making this.

  • Thanks! I didn't break it, but I did sprain it. :P

  • extremely good! can u plz how us the tutorial? plzzzz!

  • Thanks! I'm glad you liked both of my clone videos and commented. Do you have After Effects? You need a program that can create masks and animate them. Then you just make hundreds of adjustments to the mask(s) during the points of cross-over to make sure the mask is right along the line of the person.

The easier way to do it would be to put down a green screen behind each one that crosses in front of another, then you don't have to do all the tedious frame-by-frame masking.

  • thx mate! and yes i do hve after effect CS3 but i never used t often! :P but now i will! XD once again, thx!

  • If you look at my Triplet Cloning video, the second half shows a break down of the masks. That one doesn't have any cross-overs so the masks are left very large.

  • very good - music works well! 5/5

  • Thanks mutleee! You've got some great effect videos yourself.

  • hey, why don't u add me as friend? XD

  • Looks really natural. Nice masking sir

  • Thanks Kieran!
