I met Ms. Dobson when they filmed a TV movie called Amazons @ the hospital I worked @ in 1982. She was not overly friendly. Would not give out an autograph, but did say, "I'll shake your hand". I have admired this woman since I was 14, when Cleo was released. I almost about died when I saw her in person. I was 22 @ the time, and from NYC. Was so sad to hear about her passing. Her favorite candy was Sugar Daddy. No, not an insult. I found out from her P.A. I got her a box. Northridge Hosp. M.C.

I was in the Air Force 1965 Kansas City Mo. I was leaving OGs lounge when someone Tapped on my window. I recognized her. Had seen her numerous times in the Club! It was Cleopatra Jones! My Heart jumped in my mouth! I rolled the window down and she said YOU GOT ANY CABLES?? It was raining cats & dogs, I got out in my Mohair suit & jumped her car, while her male companion stayed dry! She was a 6 ft 2 girl that looked like Cleo! I would have drowned for her! This was 10 yrs before Cleo!

One for the gull winged door, the second for the high speed chase scene, the third, for fire that shot from it's exhaust pipes! Which one does he own?

Wouldn't fly today. Classic Blaxploitation required guts, intelligence, and innovation. Today's mainstream filmmakers aren't exactly known for any of that.

They told Tyler Perry when he wanted to turn  his plays into movies that they wouldn't fly (people wouldn't go see his movies) and all his movies have what? Gross over $400 million or more to date?

I think it would fly, you already pointed that out what the remake needs: Intelligence, innovation and most importantly a good scriipt and director. They remade Shaft 10 years ago (although Samuel L. Jackson didn't fit the part and was a bad choice IMO), so why not this one.
