if you cant get your hands on a real butterfly knife (stupid local laws) oil up an old leatherman (thoses two handled plier multi tool things) and it does the same thing as a real butterfly knife

@randomidea0 leatherman are aware of this and have made all their current multitool designs in such a way so that grease or oil won't affect the looseness of the mechanism. plus, the fact that the pliers will open and close, changing the position of the handle as it opens makes it impractical to train with.

if you can't get your hands on a real butterfly knife, get a trainer. that's why they have them.
