@ramG35 Stock curb weight on a 1991 911 Turbo is just over 3000lbs. Curb weight on a stock MKIV Supra is right around 3700lbs. So I was a bit off, I never thought the early 90s 911s gained that much weight. In the 80s a 911 was around 2600-2700lbs stock, which was what I based my numbers on. So it's only 700lbs lighter, not 1000. My mistake.

He didnt mis-shift. The engine bogged, the turbo then spooled, it broke into wheel spin, then got a move on. It took ages to catch the Porsche. The gap would have been even bigger from a stand still. Usable power counts for more than just outright power.

I have been watching supra videos for about 2 years now, and I have come to the conclusion, they are probably the most bad ass car out there. Sure there is faster, but from a 15+ year old 6 cylinder car, it can destroy most ferrari's and lambos.

The real difference I usually find is how much that person can spend on a car.

Supra to me is like a real car born on the streets and earned its respect over time, a lambo is like a rich kid grown up with money and has the easy way. Most people would probably take a lambo because they dont care about cars just their reputation with girls. We have different views, but for me I would take a supra over a veyron.

And thats your opinion, I personnally don't like the style of lambo's since they are very commen where I use to live. The Supra is poorly tuned, basically just has a small turbo upgrade, exhaust (maby other small goodies) with basic tuning to run it. Run done on low boost as well. Supra spinned the first 2 gears and driver shifted too soon in third resulting in some lag. Once he finally got traction and boost he catched up pretty easily.

the 911 was on 108 octane and nos and the supra just has pump gas and it still caught up. i doubt that supra was even tuned and the dumb fuck about having to have a stroker and a 1500+dollar turbo and all this BS. dont need a stroker, you dont need to get some fancy ass name brand turbo. 1000hp is old news for the supra boys. Supras are fast, but so many people think they can be tuned up to "1000bhp" for harldy any cost or damage to the car. Porsche have won Le Mans 16 times and toyota haven't even won once. Yeah importcarg is right. It cost a fortune to tune a car to 1000hp. Not just the parts to consider but you've also got to pay a proffessional to fit them. You can't just do it yourself, it can go terribly wrong very quickly if you don't know what your doing.

You=dumbass. There is nothing easy about breaking the 1000hp mark. Has it been done yes... and quite alot. But do you have any idea how much money that takes, and time? Just the turbo alone will be 2500+ U.S. dollars. Stroker kit=$5500. then you gotta buy a completly new fuel system i.e. pumps lines rails injectors, then custom head job, the list just goes on and on.

the 911 was on 108 octane and nos and the supra just has pump gas and it still caught up. i doubt that supra was even tuned and the dumb fuck about having to have a stroker and a 1500+dollar turbo and all this BS. dont need a stroker, you dont need to get some fancy ass name brand turbo. 1000hp is old news for the supra boys. PUMPS and lines? um maybe another stock pump and a cheap thicker line. ud have to do the same crap with the porche. and i dont see 100's or 1000hp porches running around

Supras are fast, but so many people think they can be tuned up to "1000bhp" for harldy any cost or damage to the car. Porsche have won Le Mans 16 times and toyota haven't even won once. Thats far more comprehensive than the 10second street racing videos on youtube of a supra thats about to explode. End of.

@garryloads le mans cars? i dont know much about them but i know they are nothing like normal cars so that hardly counts, with these cars there is comparison in race spec, watch the jgtc, the porsches just get in the way of the supras. Porsches are overpriced mid life crisis cures. stock, i know supras can beat almost all stock porches minus the 911 turbo and gt3 rs. but the supe costs over 20 times less

@Howie262 i'm am telling you because i have experianced it first hand, can beat all boxters, all caymans and i've beaten the 1 996 gt3 i've raced, thats with only 150 spent on mods (boots controller+loud blitz exhaust :D), and the supra is a great ride as its a grand tourer, its faster than most porsches, the 2jz engine is one of the most reliable engines (ask a mechanic) and as shown mine is a beaut with no major mods, and for the price of that gt3rs i could afford my supra 15x

Then, notice when the Supra catches up to the 911 he stops passing him and the 911 starts moving forward again. Supra is my dream car buyt you have to admit to a loss. Yeah importcarg is right. It cost a fortune to tune a car to 1000hp. Not just the parts to consider but you've also got to pay a proffessional to fit them. You can't just do it yourself, it can go terribly wrong very quickly if you don't know what your doing.

the Porsche stomped the Supra BADLY. The Supra didn't oevertake at the top end. the are BOTH turbo. the Porsche simply stopped racing. Period. The Supra driver reminds me of so many people when I beat them, I stop and they continue going with a great big smile like they won at the end. Just plain goofy. Score one for Porsche on this one.

just to add a note, IMPORTCARG is speaking real, ok buy the porsche 911 turbo, theres 88 to 90 thousand, buy a supra, second hand or get the 2jz inport most u pay 7.000 to 9.000 thousand add all the twin turbo mods, head mods, exaust mods. manafold mods, the lot. u spend 88 grand on a supra! and id like to see any porche beat it!!

You=dumbass. There is nothing easy about breaking the 1000hp mark. Has it been done yes... and quite alot. But do you have any idea how much money that takes, and time? Just the turbo alone will be 2500+ U.S. dollars. Stroker kit=$5500. then you gotta buy a completly new fuel system i.e. pumps lines rails injectors, then custom head job, the list just goes on and on.

@importcarg not to mention you'll probably also need either methanol or propane injection or similar and race gas. You can't physically run THAT much pressure without running into detonation issues with pump gas.
