My kids and grandkids, dont have any grandkids yet. I conerned about all this debt that, I was sadden by Bush who spend money like crazy. I agree. All politicians spend money but it's always interesting how they become fiscally responsible when the other guy is doing it. Whether it's a new fighter jet or a social program it's still money. Personally I'm on the side of whatever helps the people most. We're already the most powerful nation so a new fighter jet doesn't make as much sense to me; living comfortable in retirement does.

At least give us the illusion of not being in a Reich. Fox News must have targeted President Obama himself and tried to bring him down. Not so. Fox News has targeted ACORN and select members of the Obama Administration, but it has not targeted President Obama personally.
The truth is that Fox is NOT a rightwing network. The truth is that Fox is the most balanced network and ABC, NBC, CBS and CNN (aka "the alphabet networks") are all leftwing and enthusiastic Obama supporters.
It's not so much that Fox is bias in their reporting. It's about the content of that bias. Over the years these reporters and commentary people have made all kinds of faults statements, or framed a issue using inflammatory or provocative language that leads to a faults conclusion. When called on it, they never have corrected themselves but just move on to the next faults or provocative claim.
I wonder if the guys and gals at Fox ever, themselves, ask themselves who and what they are. It always surprises me that "newscasters" would want to be involved with the network. Unless, of course, there might be money involved...
they are only doing this because their is a war on journalism, and that war has been waged by Fox. These guys are journalists and they are fighting back... like Edward Murrow once did against McCarthy.
Watching those clips strung together like that, can anyone doubt anymore that the corporate media is biased? It's not just FOX; corporations are pro-capitalist, by definition. Yet there's this pathetic delusion among the public that at least some parts of the corporate media are capable of objectivity. It isn't possible! The individual talking head could be a card-carrying socialist, and yet they'd be compelled by the nature of capitalism to promote the bias of their corporate employer.

I agree. All politicians spend money but it's always interesting how they become fiscally responsible when the other guy is doing it. Whether it's a new fighter jet or a social program it's still money. Personally I'm on the side of whatever helps the people most. We're already the most powerful nation so a new fighter jet doesn't make as much sense to me; living comfortable in retirement does.

Capitalism was good in 1950! There was a middle class then also. People who graduated could read and all had basic math skills. I hate (strong word, I know) what we have become. No example of pure communism ever existed. The USSR used money, Cuba used money and people in both examples had income (although pathetic like 5 bucks a month). The closest to communism is probably N. Korea but it is still socialism. Some nations are more socialist than the USA even thought they are still capitalist based (UK, Canada, france, norway still use capitalism). But they are in danger of being pushed over the edge, the USA in part inhibits this for now.

Russia Today has some good news clips. I'd like to know if there are more independent news channels. Also, I am really hoping that people on youtube will start to be a little nicer to each other, even when they do disagree. Name calling shuts people off from listening. We shouldn't be drawing lines in the sands and being so divided. We are all Americans, whatever political persuasion we hold to. Being divided makes us vulnerable in a time when the dollar is low, and people are really hurting.

Although, I do disagree with ignoring Fox and refusing to do interviews with them as it only makes things worse, but you can't ignore the fact that they just can't be taken as a serious news channel.

It's not so much that Fox is bias in their reporting. It's about the content of that bias. Over the years these reporters and commentary people have made all kinds of faults statements, or framed a issue using inflammatory or provocative language that leads to a faults conclusion. When called on it, they never have corrected themselves but just move on to the next faults or provocative claim.

Watching those clips strung together like that, can anyone doubt anymore that the corporate media is biased? It's not just FOX; corporations are pro-capitalist, by definition. Yet there's this pathetic delusion among the public that at least some parts of the corporate media are capable of objectivity. It isn't possible! The individual talking head could be a card-carrying socialist, and yet they'd be compelled by the nature of capitalism to promote the bias of their corporate employer.
