First our economy is in the crapper, so the only folks around here who have the money to build and then beat an awesome car/ engine are the ones who would rather build it as a trailer queen/ investment piece. Plus with tort (liability) laws as skewed as they are, most track owners are not real willing to let anybody really cut loose. No money to build them, no place to run them

My 3000gt [yeah, you laugh :)...stop it!!] has 422awhp. It's a fun car. It gets up & goes but I really want to remove at least 400kg from it.

@NoTraction333 It's the original Japanese model. I bought it 6yrs ago. It's a 94' with VR-4 running gear. Twin turbo, AWD, AWS but the downside is it weighs over 1700kg. Yeah it handles well & goes good but I think it's about time to change. I also own a 70' AMC Javelin SST 390. Had that for 11yrs now. Drives well, never brakes down & it's just a great car. I've been to Pomona a few times & to The Strip at Vegas & it was just unreal. I've been to 2 NASCAR races at Phoenix Raceway with my Father & while I liked it, it just wasn't for me. I can appreciate what they do but after the first say, 50 laps, it just got a little boring. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

It's great because there's no families with kids running around everywhere & there's literally no dickheads. Just business people & really friendly car nuts. Lot of Aussies & New Zealanders too. They love us. It's an amazing event.

One was a 70 Chevelle SS with no hood & 2 filthy turbos reaching for the sky. It was coming out of the IHOP parking lot. The other was a 66 Nova cruising down the main street with a blower & kind of like a Top Fuel hat on it & it just sounded wicked.
My 3000gt [yeah, you laugh :)...stop it!!] has 422awhp. It's a fun car. It gets up & goes but I really want to remove at least 400kg from it.

@NoTraction333 It's the original Japanese model. I bought it 6yrs ago. It's a 94' with VR-4 running gear. Twin turbo, AWD, AWS but the downside is it weighs over 1700kg. Yeah it handles well & goes good but I think it's about time to change. I also own a 70' AMC Javelin SST 390. Had that for 11yrs now. Drives well, never brakes down & it's just a great car. @TEQTONYK That's awesome. I checked out your SEMA gallery from 2010. I would love to go but am not involved in any industry that would grant me access. I've been to Pomona a few times & to The Strip at Vegas & it was just unreal. I've been to 2 NASCAR races at Phoenix Raceway with my Father & while I liked it, it just wasn't for me. I can appreciate what they do but after the first say, 50 laps, it just got a little boring. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

It's great because there's no families with kids running around everywhere & there's literally no dickheads. Just business people & really friendly car nuts. Lot of Aussies & New Zealanders too. They love us. It's an amazing event.
