Also recently Simon said she was his favorite idol year after year she would come back to American Idol and would be the same nice person. I do enjoy this arrangement but I agree with some other comments as well... this seems like it was slightly more upbeat and very slightly even rushed and it was probably to fit the time frame on the show. I think my favourite performance of her doing this song is the "Fantasia - I'm Here (O)" one from the Oprah show - that one is slow enough to let her emote without being too dragged out :) Very good middle ground

And like the sun Fantasia brings life to any stage and crowd where she performs. But this right here is my favorite. It's where she started from. Jeannette as Celie is no comparison, and I'm speaking as a listener to music not as a Fantasia fan. I feel you on that sentiment. To me Fantasia's interpretation of everything she sings is so intense. I usually have to take a nap after I listen to her because she pulls at all of my emotions. I actually traveled to New York 3 times to see her in the play she was phenomenal. I absolutely love her. But I was emotionally spent after every performance.
