I'm considering getting a fernandes sustainer for my RG! questions is: is it just purely a sustainer only work when it's turned on? or is it actually a working pickup even when it's off? how does it sound when it's working as a pickup not a sustainer?

When it is on, it works like a sustainer.

But when it is OFF it works like as a pickup and it sounds quite well. Not like some Dimarzio HumBuckers, but I like it! :)
