Here is what I misunderstand from the Sims 2 Pets, you can unlock other Sims in the game, but you cannot play them until you invite them to live with you?
@nikky6 Not really but can be a pain when terms to call your pets to everything. Also I need the reason on how do I this ''Have a litter'' want for the pet and I don't understand on how to do it. :P
@supersmithnetwork To have a litter you need a male and a female dog or cat. Make the male and female dog/cat like each other alot, then click on either dog/cat and it will say "have offspring with...(then the name of your dog/cat)" It might work the first time or it might take a few times, also you need a dog houe for this and if you have cats they will still be able to have a litter in a dog house. They won't have a litter if there are aready 6 members in the family. Hope this helped :-)

@ipekarslan Well if your pets are upset then try buying them the best pet houses there are, the best dishes for them to eat out of and the best toys, lot and lots of toy haha. Also if you have a dog thats upset because its hygiene is low, i'd recommend either buying a bath, to bathe the dog until the bar is green, or go to the town square and pay 50 pet cash for your pet to have a wash, but cats cannot be bathed in a bath at your home, but they can be washed at the town square, hope this helped
@supersmithnetwork 'have a litter' means make your pet have a baby.. you need to buy a 'dog house' then when a dog of the opposite sex comes over, you need to click 'offspring with' then you would of completed it, but the two dog's need to be friends to have babies.
@supersmithnetwork You create a random family with the same breed as your pet, so you'd have to marry that pets owner so they move in and then you have to get your pet to breed with the other pet and they have puppies.
@GStarZhon Console version of Sims 2 had the still pictures on TV as well. Like I said, it's the same gameplay scheme as The Sims 2 on consoles. Sims 3 Pets will be better when it comes out for consoles.
@Jasonpimp131 It's basically the same as The Sims 2 but dosen't have Story Mode, it's more like a Free Play modeish sort of thing where you take care of pets. See some vids on YouTube and you'll find the answer or buy the game for info. There is also some reviews up there too.
