Yeah I can agree with that statement to a point, I remember when i first started playing I really worked on that song a lot. I eventually found other guitarists whose work inspired me more and better suited my liking, but Jimmy Page is still one of my favorites (just not this track...he doesn't even like it).

i like this double neck much more than jimmy pages and my own double neck the only thing i might have changed when i would have orders it is the string rail placement being a bit lower.
very nice that is a later model of the gibson double neck SG produced after jimmy page had his original double neck made its still very nice and looks incredible but it differs from jimmy pages guitar in a few key ways eg the color, the string rail placement the pickup covers on the 6 string and the tone/volume knobs.
Sweet. I had one just like it in the late seventies. The 12 string neck was great, but the six string was terrible. I was so mad I had traded away my beautiful Les Paul for it. The double neck is long gone, but I still pine for the best 'Paul I ever had my hands on...

but god dammit there no solo can compare to Stairway's. No guitar technique is as perfect or original as Jimmy Page's.

Kurt Cobain play circles around Jimmy Page? Jimmy was one of the greatest guitarists. He might not have been THE greatest, that spot is reserved for either Hendrix or Clapton, but Page was an incredible guitarist. Kurt Cobain played horrible solos that only included the main melody of the song. Jimmy went from a folk song to hard rock and back. Ask anyone else if Jimmy is better than Kurt and they'll say yes.

He wasn't known for a doubleneck in 68. Led Zeppelin wasn't around until 1969. Stairway was recorded in 70/71. He never played one with the yardbirds, either.

i like this double neck much more than jimmy pages and my own double neck the only thing i might have changed when i would have orders it is the string rail placement being a bit lower.

very nice that is a later model of the gibson double neck SG produced after jimmy page had his original double neck made its still very nice and looks incredible but it differs from jimmy pages guitar in a few key ways eg the color, the string rail placement the pickup covers on the 6 string and the tone/volume knobs.

Sweet. I had one just like it in the late seventies. The 12 string neck was great, but the six string was terrible. I was so mad I had traded away my beautiful Les Paul for it. The double neck is long gone, but I still pine for the best 'Paul I ever had my hands on...
