You must first try to deal with this with the means given to you by the law .
If it is found to be corrupt then the Gloves must come off !!Shell has not a good record in Africa where 100,s have being Killed Shell has the local Government in its pocket and it sure look,s like that it has had a whip-a round for Berti as-well !!!!
I support you even if I have to pay more for Gas in the future .Thomas :)
The growing world needs gas. When will these people sacrifice a little bit to help others. Selfish. I wouldnt mind a big wind turbine at my house so that others could have electricity. Selfish people.
sorry to hear tat mister "shelltohell" doesnt actually watch RTE. prime time made a programme years ago before this whole thing became a popular "jump on the bandwagaon" "save the planet issue"
btw i do agree withyou that the irish people will gain v little from the project.
giving our gas away for nothing - honouring an agreement negotiated by a corrupt minister - flaking public money down the drain protecting a company thats going to fuck us.
please greens, please get into power soon and wash these FF bastards and their incompetent sycophantism away.
The Gardai are always the winners.Lots and lots of overtime.100 million last year in Dublin "fighting crime".Meanwhile there are no prison spaces for the criminals! What a joke government is Fianna Fail
Shell learn from the past eh? Not likely. So, the Irish government earns nothing from any gas exploration and the overtime bill for Garda in Rossport has reached at least €7 million. Bit of a double whammy for the Irish tax-payer....
It's interesting that Al Jazeera can put together a film that RTE can't seem to make- hopefully as many people as possible will watch this and forward it so that people can make an informed decision on how they vote in the election.
This film makes it clear that Ireland will gain nothing from the Shell scheme except pain.

RTE made a very poor PrimeTime programme in November 2006, which was the subject of complaints by Mayo people whose comments were edited out.
The rest of RTE coverage has been lamentable since then.
When Willie Corduff won the Golmdman prize, you'd expect that RTE might ring him up and interview him (the BBC did), but they haven't yet.

The natural resources of Ireland are being given away by the Irish Government to Shell for nothing. This is a disgrace. Resist !

Very inspiring story. Great editing and storytelling as well as being balanced with coverage on all sides of the argument. Well Done Sinead.
