Southern Europeans share more history and genes with North Africans (primarily Berbers) than they share with North Europeans. Italians are not much fairer than North Africans and in some cases North Africans are more fair. And that is not because of immigration but the Roman history. The greatest empire in the world would not have existed if they were racist! LOL
