I have a playlist with the title "Awesome Guitarists" and you are on it... ('nuff said. but I'll say more...) great tone, feeling, impecible playing... love it.
Well I really like the sound/tone you get from the 410. I love my triple rectifier for rock and metal stuff but might consider a 410 for more classic blusey stuff, although maybe a plexi also. What is the boost you are using on top of the head?
Marshall JVM 410. I recently tried one out briefly and thought it was good, yours makes me believe they are great. Yours is sounding as good as a JCM 800 though that remark might rub some the wrong way haha.
I love my Mesa but I haven't found that right blusey tone out of it yet compared to a Marshall. Jeez should I get another Marshall arghhh!! haha. Great vid and playing. You don't like EL34 tubes?
@LKrevival Yes, EL34 works fine, but I also like 6L6's... The KT77 is like a mix of both which in my world sounds really great!
But I've got a modded Mesa Lonestar now. Think it sounds pretty brittish too, but more... tasteful, responds better to sensitive playing. Plus... we've alreadey heard the Marshall sounds on a couple of albums, didn't we? ;)
Marshall works, but it's not so exciting to play, and there's something about the treble in those amps that can't be rolled off...
@nylonsteel Do you mean when I recorded this clip or in general? For this clip it wasn't really that loud but way more than you would turn it up if you were living in an apartment.
I used an isocabinet for this song, so the volume wasn't really an issue anyway.
This amp can be VERY loud. Remember it's 100 tube watts... Loud enough for any situation IMO.
@Fukin4off Thanks! Yeah, you're probably right, but you can't win'em all... ;)
Frankly, I did this on purpose, cause some people have been complaining that my bluesy stuff doesn't sound bluesy enough... haha, and then you hit with me this... :( Nah, just kidding! Take care!
Hey thanks for the reply, that helps alot, i have a boss dd-6, Marshall blues breaker II pedal and a Vox satchurator, would any of these help? like if you were to use this equipment what would you do? where would you begin? im sorry im asking alot, i hope im not too much of a pain haha, kind regards.
I own the Marshall JVM 410H, and i was wondering what channel, mode and effects you were using, i have a similar sound but mine isnt as rich or as thick, any tips?
I'm not sure exactly, but I think I use pretty much all channels on this video, but I start off with the crunch channel which I use alot in conjunction with an overdrive pedal.
I almost NEVER use the red modes on the OD1 & 2 channels, it's too much noice and everything, but it get's better when I changed the preamp tube... but I changed it back again... Others from that it's just some delay and reverb. Rock on.
Nice to hear you again, nice piece. I thought your Luke was gone......(?) Anyway, keep up the great work and have a duck a l'orange for dinner tonight.
You should consider to let wife and kids where they are now ... staying alone offers you a chance to get an Olympic Gold Medal in 'Electric Fingering' ;-) :-D
WOW!
Awesome playing, superb tone, great Blues feeling, sexy guitar, strong performance (and beer!) ...
YOU SHOULD FOUND YOUR OWN BAND AND BRING THAT ON STAGE!
Thanks also for your comment - it's interesting to see how our Master works - a great video of its own class - MOVE ON DOING THE GOOD WORK!
Simply the greatest most talented laidback guitarist on youtube. I feel every note you play and its simply inspiring. Enjoyed everything you've posted and just wish you could find more time to grace us with your amazing talent.
@ollec Yes, that's correct and I also made a "Goodbye Luke" video. I traded it with a guy from Denmark. I got his old 1972 telecaster and he got my Luke.
After about a month no one of us were satisfied with the other ones guitar, so we simply traded them back - which I am very glad that we did... Don't know what I was thinking there, but the story ended happily after all! Thanks!
Well... I may have had a beer or two too much when I tagged it! Kind of fun anyway, think of those who search for "gay ass porn" and end up watching my guitar video! ;) Hahaha!

also i read you set your delay knobs 12 o' clock, and do you use the Fx loop for all your padals? thanks again.

When I record I don't use effects in the loop, I add them in the mix later on.
Live I use the JVM with a Boss GT-10 with the 4CM (four cable method).
