  • @onlytwothings you're welcome!

  • The pins/ markers dont show on my maps!? Anyone know why?

  • @deathwings11 you fkd it up

  • @onlytwothings Thank u for ur critical evaluation and recommended solution. ;) lol

  • @deathwings11 hmm..not sure! I haven't had that problem before..but curious to hear about it if you did figure it out!

  • @mentalarmory I couldnt understand why it wasnt showing the pins, but i found a simpler method to embed the map. You enter the address/addresses you want into google maps and click the link button, then copy and paste iframe into your html page. Took literally 20 seconds.

  • @deathwings11 i also dont see it...

  • superb. thank you!

  • @iainconway you're welcome!

  • I knew it must be simple :)

    Thanks a lot!

  • @Rein199 haha..no problem!

  • does anyone know how to create timespace maps, otherwise known as realtime maps, in google maps APIs?

if u do, please contact me on my youtube account, i really need help in this matter coz its an essential part of my Final Year Project

  • I am a .NET developer and I didn't want to put any time into researching how to do this. I looked at this video and got it done in a split second, without having to think. Thanks it was really helpful.

  • @Deathmaster37 awesome! glad it helped.

  • TY , tried it and it works.

  • @dondata11 great!

  • so i was overthinking it. i friggin sat here for 1 hour trying to configure an API, and i didn't even want to create an api site, i just wanted to add this guy's business in google maps to the website i'm making for him

one day i'll look back and laugh at myself for this.

  • @shakaama haha, I'm sure you will, happens to all of us sometimes!

  • Great video!!! It was really helpful is there any way that you can create your own icon to represent a location on the map? I want the ability to have my company logo (a tree) to be visible and be used by other who want to post on my custom my maps

  • @Hoopstr13 Thank you! Yup you can, first you have to host your logo somewhere online (try something free like flickr or photobucket if you don't have your own hosting) and make sure its a nice small size. Then go to edit your map, click on the pin of your location and click the icon. Then go to 'Add an icon' and paste the direct url to your image. Now your new icon will be in the 'My icons' tab, and just select that one. Hope that helps, let me know if it doesn't!

  • Tried it and it works great

  • @Hoopstr13 Awesome!

  • Thanks, very informative style. I am using a website builder program which employs a wysiwyg editor and when I copy/paste the html link in the program, that is what I get just the link not the map. Is there anyway around this?

  • Which program are you using? When you paste the code, you want to make sure you paste it in the code view. Let me know if you still need help.

  • where did you get your background from on your computer, that is well cool, well want it. also thanks for the help.

  • you're welcome.

background is from wallpapers (dot) jurko (dot) net and the title is 'Pacific Ocean'. youtube hates url's, but the path to this one is /wide/wallpaper_2494.jpg

    Hope that helps!

  • cool and nice =]

  • thanks!
