Its hard to put into words how music influenced your teenage years. I was in grade 5 in 1994, so I grew up listening to all these amazing post-grundge alternative bands that made up the mide-90's. Every generation has its music, Our Lady Peace, Smashing Pumpkins, Radiohead, Stone temple pilots... these were the bands that I grew up to.

The song title, "4am", was said by the band that it had double meanings—the song itself was completely written at 4:00 am, and it stands for Raine Maida's father's initials, Anthony Maida, so "For A.M. = 4am"

Honestly, Nirvana wasn't as talented as OLP and here's why: OLP have managed to stretch across 3 or 4 genres of music since 'Naveed' I can Hear Indie(Spiritual Machines), Post-Grunge (Naveed), bits n pieces of Metal at times (Gravity), even Prog Rock (Happiness..). Now if not for Nirvana there'd be no OLP or thousands of other bands at that. Main difference is that music from USA and UK always gets the upper hand and its been that way since the 50s and 60s sorry Canada you loose by default.
