  • That does not look like a ginunting that his using, looks more like a talibong, but what do I know, I'm no GM. hehe

  • I bet in his younger days he's seen action using this especially during world war II. My old uncles at about his age still show-off what they know and what they used during WWII when they were guerillas aiding the GI's. All I want to say to this man is "Mano Po" ! and show my respect to him...Maraming Salamat!

Live in Cebu over two years and wish I could say I was train, being a Large White dude the master just let kids beat me to the ground..

I just that is the best train 4 to 6 against me it is do or die.

I got in a few blows I was always happy to whack them, the look a the faces of the student was priceless they really enjoyed hitting me lol

  • @steveo27545 That one is a keeper all right and definitely priceless true story. aw the envy to have had such an experiance although harsh..... that beating was part of the lesson in a condensed form....... thanks for sharing that awesome story...... I'm down here in mexicali. mexico learning arnis from a former student of grand master Giron... have the greatest new year...

  • The description of "De Campo" is not really one style per se. Taken from the Spanish, it literally means "field" or more open spaces. Thus, de campo styles tend to more more "largo mano" which ACTUALLY and TECHNICALLY means "full" range rather than "long range".

Note also his nice "lutang" or floating steps.
